Chapter 985: Chapter 984: Pig Farming

Rafael Case was dumbfounded as he watched Yusuf Zuck. In his memory, it seemed that they had parted only a short while ago, right? How on earth could he have jumped through a dozen minor realms and become a Fifth-rank Celestial on the spot?

It should be known that ascending from a Spirit Immortal to a Heavenly Immortal required a long process. Of course, that didn’t include those monstrous geniuses or those who had access to unlimited resources.

Even if Zayden Newton had resources, they must surely be resources from the Lower Realm, not from the Immortal Realm, right? He didn’t have any background either, and after his Ascension, he was directly taken away by him.

"Cut the crap. Come out with me. And everyone else, there’s no need to listen to what this guy preaches; otherwise, he’s bound to lead you astray," Yusuf Zuck glared fiercely at Rafael Case. What path could this good-for-nothing talk about?

Rafael Case gave an awkward smile, his face turning red, and then waddled after Yusuf Zuck out of the great hall, ascending to the summit of Heaven Mist Mountain, arriving at the bank of Yin Yang Lake.

"Master, what do you need me for?" This shameless and unchaste old fellow was sweet-talking him by calling him Master, and it even rolled off his tongue quite naturally!

"Eat this." Yusuf Zuck sat down, handed a Green Spirit Fruit to Rafael Case, and then took out two fruit pits, dripping on them drops of merit dew.

"Wow, this looks like a Green Spirit Fruit. Let me have a taste first!" The guy didn’t refuse or stand on ceremony, and began to chomp down on it.

And while he was munching on the Green Spirit Fruit, under Rafael Case’s watch, those two pits Yusuf Zuck had dropped to the ground took root and sprouted, grew and bloomed, bore fruit – their pace changing in the blink of an eye!

His mouth hung wide open, and drool streamed down...

"Hmm, eighteen pieces, not enough, again!" Yusuf Zuck plucked the fruits without eating them and then tossed them out in a row, following with eighteen drops of merit dew continuing to fall!

"Plop," as Yusuf Zuck planted fruit trees on one side, Rafael Case was on his knees on the other, bowing deeply like pounding garlic, also with tears streaming down his face.

The old fellow was crying again, crying so much that it moved heaven and earth.

Eighteen Green Spirit Fruit trees each solidified nine fruits, and Yusuf Zuck plucked them one by one, totaling one hundred sixty-two fruits.

After he had picked all the fruits, all the trees vanished into wisp of green smoke within Jade Sea and Cloud Sky.

With a "pop" just as Yusuf Zuck lamented that the Green Spirit Fruit trees couldn’t endure forever, he suddenly heard a soft crack from behind him, coming from Rafael Case, who was bowing down to him!

The guy had advanced in rank while bowing his head; the Grade One Golden Immortal, stuck for many years, finally reached Grade Two under the influence of a single Green Spirit Fruit!

"Uhh..." Rafael Case seemed as surprised as Yusuf Zuck, straightened up to look at his body, and the next second, he jumped up: "Master, I’ve actually advanced in rank, Second-rank Golden Immortal, haha, Second-rank Golden Immortal!"

"That’s not enough, keep eating. I have plenty of fruits here; just leave the pits for me!" Yusuf Zuck tossed him another fruit. Each Green Spirit Fruit could add a thousand years’ worth of harsh cultivation and also enhance insight, propelling one’s current state. So he wanted to test Rafael Case to see if the Green Spirit Fruits were truly miraculous.

"Thank you, Master, thank you. The old man is actually also a genius, just that due to an accident when I was young, my potential decreased, then I got a chronic illness that I couldn’t break through. Yet, this Green Spirit Fruit is the treasured marvel of the ’Green Spirit Sect’, a major sect in the Element World, and one of the top. The reason they became a super sect is thanks to the Green Spirit Fruits, as consuming one can help one ascend a level directly."

"Countless experts and powerful beings have humbled themselves before the Green Spirit Sect for a single Green Spirit Fruit. As you know, the higher the cultivation level, the harder it is to break through, so the Green Spirit Fruit has become a Divine Fruit – one’s realm can ’pop’ and improve instantly upon consumption."

"Of course, even though this might be pushing the envelope, the instability after the realm advances can be gradually solidified. Hence, the Green Spirit Sect is quite formidable."

"So you’re saying if you continue to consume Green Spirit Fruits, you can keep advancing your realm in succession?"

"That’s not certain because those who consume Green Spirit Fruits have completed their realms and are unable to advance on their own. It happens as a natural consequence."

"But if you’ve just advanced and your realm hasn’t stabilized, isn’t complete, and you consume it, it might not work out. However, Master, with so many fruits here, we can definitely give it a try. Also, as you know, I’ve stored up energy for many years, and my internal immortal energy is very strong; I just lacked that bit of insight!"

"I understand; you’re essentially missing a beat in your mind!" Yusuf Zuck laughed heartily.

"Missing a beat, that would mean one is foolish..." Rafael Case chuckled with a "heh heh."

"Alright, eat it, today I’ll help you break through and see what level you can reach!"

"Okay!" Rafael Case opened his mouth and stuffed the entire fruit into it, gently spat out the pit, swallowed all the flesh, and immediately sat down to dissolve the magical energy of the Green Spirit Fruit.

About three and a half hours later, a faint explosive sound came from within his body, and then—third-grade Golden Immortal! This time it was significantly slower than before.

"Hmm, continue," Yusuf Zuck gave him another fruit and urged him to keep eating, to eat as much as he could.

Rafael Case didn’t hold back, nor did he fear bursting from overeating, or destabilizing his cultivation level. He had endured enough disdain over the years, so now that he had the chance to advance his rank, how could he let it slip away?

Since he couldn’t die from overeating, then eat he would!

Six hours after consuming the third Green Spirit Fruit, Rafael Case opened his eyes and then sighed, "I can’t do it, I’ve dissolved all the medicine power, but I can’t advance anymore. My third-grade Golden Immortal level isn’t complete, so I can’t break through!"

"Then eat more."

With a "whoosh," Yusuf Zuck tossed all the fruits at Rafael Case’s feet and ordered, "Keep all the pits, I’m going to find a place to continue alchemy."

"Yes, Master, have a good journey." Rafael Case looked at the pile of fruits on the ground with eyes turning green. As soon as Yusuf Zuck walked away, he couldn’t wait to start eating them as if they were apples.

Yusuf Zuck treated him like a pig being fed, and he himself ate with the same gusto as a pig.

Yusuf Zuck didn’t go far but found a tree to sit under, took out his Pill Furnace, and continued with his alchemy. He didn’t want to expose the secret of the Yin-Yang Heart Flame, so he had to stoke the immortal fire within his body. This time, he started with Grade One Spirit Pills and planned to experiment level by level to see what rank of pills he could refine at his current Heavenly Immortal state.

After all, the rank of pills one could refine is equivalent to their rank as a Pill Master, and a high-ranked Grand Pill Master is definitely in high demand, a rare resource indeed!

And so, the master and disciple pair, one consuming fruits and the other practicing alchemy, didn’t bother each other.

Meanwhile, at the Campbell Sect’s Alchemy College, the First Principal Disciple, the Vice Dean of the Alchemy College, and the "Chief Judge" of the Alchemy College—also known as Rafael Case’s master—were sitting in a serene yard within the college with a woman in her thirties, both graceful and slender.

The Chief Judge, in his forties, was clean-shaven and handsome, dressed like a scholar. He was in charge of all matters within the Alchemy College, acting as an interim manager, but he was also expected to assume the role of the Alchemy Dean in the future, continuing the position of his own master.

Rafael Case held a high status, which was based on having an impressive master.

"Elder Fang, that’s the situation. I really have no other choice. Dail is too disappointing and causes too much trouble. He’s made the whole college an uproar. Even recently, he went to the Talisman Way College to peep on female disciples bathing and got caught. I had to make this decision, and I hope Elder Fang won’t mind!"

"Where is he now? Have you notified him?" The slender woman, Elder Fang, looked somewhat displeased. She and Rafael Case were from the same village and had come to the Jimmie Campbell Sect together when they were only bare-bottomed children.

For countless years, Rafael Case’s cultivation level didn’t increase, and he made no progress in alchemy. If it were anyone else, they would have been expelled long ago. It was only because of her, his fellow villager, that no one had taken action against him until now.

"I haven’t notified him yet; he might be out and hasn’t come back. When he returns, we will officially inform him!" said the Chief Judge in a detached manner.

"Brother Zong, you know the relationship between Dail and me, so please don’t rush to a decision. Let’s wait for him to come back, and let me meet with him first. If it really doesn’t work out, I’ll see him off from the sect myself," Elder Fang pleaded.

The Chief Judge shook his head with a wry smile, still wanting to protect Rafael Case. He wanted to protect him too; after all, Rafael Case had followed him since he was nine, and he had treated him like a son all these years. It was just that Rafael Case was too much of a disappointment, and with everyone complaining, he needed to make a decision or it might affect his succession as the Dean.

"Fine, we’ll do as Elder Fang suggests. We’ll discuss it when he returns," he nodded after a moment, agreeing to Elder Fang’s wishes.

PS: There are two updates today. Uncle’s house has no electricity, but we can’t miss out on recommendation votes or monthly tickets. Let’s see if Uncle can make it up the rankings this month. Your votes are my motivation. I don’t expect to make it into the top ten, but to climb higher and get the book noticed in a more prominent position, so more people can see it.
