Chapter 936: Chapter 935: Demons Galore
After listening to Zeph Trujillo’s words, Yusuf Zuck reconsidered this seemingly ordinary Zeph Trujillo.
This person was a twelve-level Earth Immortal, neither a Demon Cultivator nor from the Alien Race. Apart from being well-dressed and somewhat handsome, there was nothing extraordinary about him. Yusuf couldn’t see anything beyond a twelve-level Earth Immortal.
Yusuf gently tapped on the table. He didn’t ask about Zeph’s origins, but after pondering for a moment, he suddenly said, "Just about ten saints, no need to ally with anyone!"
"Brilliant!" Zeph immediately raised his thumb and praised, "Mr. Campbell is truly wise. Indeed, ten saints aren’t much, but in the ’Blue Sea and Cloud Sky,’ one cannot fly or use Divine Sense. So Mr. Campbell, upon entering, might end up without even a guide, right? You won’t be able to locate others either. Thus, we still need to cooperate. I’ll lead the way, you do the killing!"
"How far is ’Blue Sea and Cloud Sky’ from here, and how long will it take to get there?" Yusuf suddenly asked.
"For others, at least a month, but for you and me, three or four hours should suffice. I know a secret teleportation formation, which, after a stopover, can take us directly to the Southern Star Region!"
"Zeph, I appreciate your kind intention, and I am grateful, but I still cannot go," Yusuf shook his head, "You have seen it yourself, many of my friends and family are in the Skeward Tower. If I leave, my Skeward Tower will be toppled in an instant."
"If Mr. Campbell trusts me, I can take your friends and family to a safe place..."
"Sorry, I cannot trust you!" Yusuf said bluntly. "That’s that, you may leave now!"
"Aren’t you worried about your woman? You aren’t afraid that the major tribes might capture her?" Zeph suddenly raised his eyebrows sharply.
Yusuf spun around sharply, "Whoever dares to capture my woman, I will kill his entire family."
"Alright then." Zeph gave a resigned smile, picked up his drink, and left.
Zeph seemed a bit anxious, watching Zeph descend the stairs, he also continuously winked at Yusuf.
"Boss, what if it’s true? And I feel like he might be telling the truth," Zeph said anxiously.
"No rush, I have my ways." Yusuf took a deep breath, thankful for having previously mastered the nine avatars; otherwise, without the avatars, he probably would have been overwhelmed to the point of vomiting blood.
Moreover, one of his avatars was already almost reaching the Southern Star Region, about to arrive at ’Blue Sea and Sky.’
Zeph settled the account and took one last look at Yusuf and Zeph upstairs, a hint of a smirk crossing his lips as he left.
"Boss, should we follow him?" Zeph asked softly.
"No need." Yusuf squinted his eyes. To be honest, although he hadn’t noted anything special about Zeph, the man was definitely not simple, but... who exactly was he?
After leaving the Skeward Tower, Zeph immediately teleported out of the spiritual city and continued upwards, eventually flying into the clouds. There, within a layer of clouds, he tore open a gap in space, and with a flash of light, he vanished into thin air.
"Haha, you’re back, how was it?" Zeph entered a foggy marsh with neither sky nor ground, a seemingly separate space within a vast void. There were more than twenty people sitting in the misty marsh, feasting on various delicacies, including some that resembled human legs and arms.
Moreover, Tyler Nash was also there, drinking a blood-like red liquid.
"This Bryson Campbell is cautious indeed, he actually refused to come!" Zeph sat down next to Tyler Nash, also snatching the drink from his hand and gulping it down.
"I’ve always said that his intelligence is not far behind ours. Trying to deceive him into falling into a trap is too difficult," Tyler Nash remarked as he wiped the corner of his mouth with a handkerchief.
"But isn’t he worried about his woman being in danger? I’m speaking the truth!" Zeph Trujillo said helplessly.
"Hehe, as long as the message is delivered, old Zeph, young Tyler, everyone, according to reliable information, during the Hero Conference, top-tier champions from higher planes will descend to the Lower Realm. Their number should be eight," said the person sitting in the main seat, dressed in a black robe and wearing a white mask painted in multicolored patterns, which bore an artistic look.
This person was none other than the leading demon of the Demon Tribe, the Shadowless Demon, and the aforementioned Zeph Trujillo was also a top demon, the Changeling Demon.
At this moment, all the weighty demons of the Demon Tribe were gathered here, virtually the entire upper echelon of the Tribe.
This meeting was taking place at one of their strongholds, located in the vacuum between layers on the Central Star, a place indiscernible to anyone but these lordly demons.
"Two humans, two aliens, two from Buddhism, two from the Demon Clan?" Tyler Nash asked, raising his voice.
"Correct, so what we need to do now is to capture these eight individuals—the energy they possess is a massive supplement for us," chuckled the Shadowless Demon sinisterly.
"With just us?" Tyler Nash countered.
"Young Tyler, you might not fully understand the rules of Heavenly Dao," Zeph Trujillo explained with a smile, "Just because beings from a higher plane descend doesn’t mean they are invincible. Every world has the rules of Heavenly Dao which no one can surpass. The capabilities of these superior beings will be restricted upon their descent, so they aren’t much stronger than a Saint."
"Of course, we shouldn’t underestimate them," added the Shadowless Demon. "The Hero Conference is less than twenty days away, and right now, our mission is to head to Blue Sea and Cloud Sky!"
"What for? To snatch Yusuf Zuck’s girl?" Tyler Nash’s eyes lit up as he clapped his hands and chuckled: "I like that idea!"
"Three plans," the Shadowless Demon held up two fingers. "One, slay the Saints. Two, disguise. Three, capture!"
"If we truly capture Bryson Campbell’s woman, then Bryson Campbell himself will eventually become one of us. Having him charge into battle, we can reap the benefits by just sitting back and watching," he continued.
"You really want to join forces with him? I have an irreconcilable vendetta against him, he’s the one who cut off my ’bird’!" Tyler Nash suddenly turned cold; he too was a leading demon and though his reputation wasn’t as formidable as the Shadowless or Changeling Demon, that didn’t mean he feared anyone.
"I have Regeneration God Grass here; if you want, I’ll help you grow a bigger one, alright?" the Shadowless Demon laughed wickedly.
"I don’t want it, you stinking men, utterly disgusting!" Tyler Nash said coyly, waving his hand.
"Hahaha..." Seeing Tyler Nash’s neither fully demonic nor fully human, neither entirely male nor female appearance, everyone burst into uproarious laughter.
"Let’s prioritize the greater situation at hand. Always remember why we live, what our purpose in life is," the Shadowless Demon said coldly, "We simply desire to grow stronger and stronger. Thus, we must utilize every resource available. Bryson Campbell does have some skills; letting him lead the charge is perfect. The conflict at the Hero Conference will likely start from him, and we need only to fan the flames from behind."
"If we catch his woman, leave her to me to guard, hehe." Tyler Nash compromised a bit, knowing that in these chaotic times, an era abounding in powerful beings, his strength alone was limited. Only by the collective effort of all demons could they achieve great things.
"Your ’bird’ is gone, what do you need a woman for?" the congregation of demons laughed heartily.
"I still have a son, what’s it to you?" Tyler Nash cooed.
"Alright, then she’s yours to watch. Let’s continue eating; after setting out, I will inform you about the detailed plan. This time, we shall make the five major tribes pay a heavy price!"
