Chapter 780: Chapter 779: Professionals

Yusuf Zuck had to admit that professional Tomb Robbers indeed had a professional standard. Although he had seen the location of the tomb’s entrance, he hadn’t mentioned it yet when the middle-aged woman with heavy makeup pointed to the front left and said, "According to the terrain and the stars, the tomb’s entrance must be within a hundred meters in that direction."

Yusuf Zuck wore a shocked expression. This lady was skilled.

"Hmm, more specifically? A hundred meters isn’t a small area," Yusuf Zuck said with a chuckle.

"Mia, take out the Compass and survey the terrain," the older sister strode toward the front left.

Mia took out a Compass from her bag, the kind with a Magnetic Needle, and as she walked, she muttered something to herself that everyone found incomprehensible.

However, Yusuf Zuck and the others followed.

The Synder sisters stood right in the center of the front left area, and then took out a wooden disc similar to a star chart, comparing it with the night sky; as the stars moved, the sisters adjusted their positions continuously.

"It’s right here, within five meters. Start digging with a Luoyang shovel, and we’ll find it. This is the Seven-star Dragon Vein; the entrance must be at one point under our feet, and we’ll certainly dig it up," the older Synder sister said confidently.

"Boss Zuck, the Snyders have been in this business for generations; there shouldn’t be any problems," Nehemiah Blevins explained.

"Very good, very professional. Indeed, the tomb’s entrance is within this five-meter square, but it’s actually right under my feet. If you dig down about a dozen meters from under my feet, you’ll reach it," Yusuf Zuck laughed.

"How do you know that?" Nehemiah Blevins and the others asked curiously, looking at Yusuf Zuck.

Yusuf Zuck grinned and said, "I’m a ’god,’ not a human!"

"Lao Ba, take a Luoyang shovel, Lao Liu and Lao Wu, start the hole. Get the oxygen extractor, the temperature and humidity detector, and the oxygen detector ready. Let’s get to work!" Nehemiah Blevins barked a series of orders, and the five shifty-eyed men under his command immediately sprang into action.

Mia, holding a DV, was recording. Although Nehemiah Blevins and his men were reluctant, they didn’t dare to protest. Hadn’t they seen this girl was Boss Zuck’s woman? So, they dared not mess with her.

Nehemiah Blevins and Mia Escobar pitched in to help.

The difference between Tomb Robbers and archaeologists is that Tomb Robbers dig into ancestral graves with just a Luoyang shovel, creating only a hole large enough for a person to crawl through. In contrast, archaeologists use excavation machines and open up the entire ancestral grave. However, the nature of both activities is the same; one is ’scholarly thievery,’ and the other ’militant thievery.’ In the end, they are both digging up somebody’s ancestral graves!

The likes of Lao San and Lao Ba quickly began to dig a thieve’s hole. These men were professional, so their work proceeded swiftly; they only needed to dig a small opening.

Meanwhile, Nehemiah Blevins walked over to Yusuf Zuck and whispered, "This is an Emperor’s Tomb, and there may be oddities inside. I suggest not letting the women go down. And even if we do go down, we must bring all the evil-banishing equipment with us."

"Evil-banishing equipment?" Yusuf Zuck looked at Nehemiah Blevins curiously.

"Yes. In these Emperor’s Tombs, there are first all sorts of mechanical traps and pitfalls, and secondly, there might be extremely strong Yin Sha, or even Zombies."

"Yin Sha and Zombies are very malevolent; especially the Yin Sha, invisible and intangible, they can directly burrow into our heads, controlling our thoughts, causing auditory and visual hallucinations. Once possessed by Yin Sha, our death is certain!"

"I’ve encountered a few Zombies, but I’ve never seen Yin Sha. However, you’re right, safety is important. Before we go down, let’s make sure to bring all the equipment you’ve brought," Yusuf Zuck nodded.

"Sure," Nehemiah Blevins nodded, then walked over to his off-road vehicle and took down a large backpack.

Yusuf Zuck had already seen that it contained candles, glutinous rice, and even donkey hoofs, as well as talismans, blood bags, and all sorts of things, a real hodgepodge.

The five men drilling the hole didn’t stop for a moment, and they had a clear division of labor. It’s likely that they were using special tools designed for tomb raiding, which is why they were able to work so quickly.

About five hours later, around three in the morning when it was almost dawn, a voice finally came out from inside—it was Lao Ba’s, claiming they had reached the door!

"Everybody up, secure the tunnel," instructed Liu the Boss from above.

All five of them, covered in dirt and ashes, climbed out. The tunnel that extended downward was surprisingly supported and fixed with steel plates, which looked quite sturdy!

"Lao Ba, tell us more about what’s inside," Liu the Boss asked eagerly.

"Stone door, granite, looks very thick. Boss Yusuf is impressive; the door is actually right here!" Lao Ba even complimented Yusuf Zuck.

"How do we open it?" Liu the Boss continued to inquire.

After pondering for a moment, Lao Ba said, "We could try digging around to see if there are any mechanisms or something like that. If there is no mechanism around and the door can’t be pushed open, the fastest way would still be controlled blasting, shouldn’t be a big problem!"

"What do you think, Boss Yusuf?" Liu the Boss turned to Yusuf Zuck.

"I understand controlled blasting, but won’t the tunnel collapse during the explosion?" Yusuf Zuck had already seen that the door was a dead door, very thick, absolutely no other entrances, just this one door, so to get in, they really had to bust this door open.

"The odds are very low. Lao Ba is a professional. He used to work in the Seventh Railway Company, specializing in blowing up tunnels and the like, so it won’t collapse, just a bit of dust at most!" Liu the Boss said proudly.

"We still can’t say that for sure; I don’t know how thick the stone door is, so we must be careful!"

"About one and a half meters thick," Yusuf Zuck suddenly said.

"What? How do you know... uh, are you sure?" Lao Ba wanted to ask how Yusuf Zuck knew, but he stopped halfway through his question. This miraculous Boss Yusuf, who knew where the entrance was and could conjure fire, impervious to bullets—definitely had to be an extraordinary person!

"Mmhmm, confirmed," Yusuf Zuck nodded.

"Alright, I know what to do now. Third Brother, help me with the explosives. Fifth Brother, Sixth Brother, prepare the fuse. The rest of you, stay back a bit. One, there might be a collapse during the blasting, and there might also be a surge of accumulated yin energy from inside the moment we blast open the entrance. Even if it isn’t a malevolent spirit, being invaded by that yin energy could lead to prolonged illness," Lao Ba cautioned.

"That’s right, everyone should stay back a bit. Mia, Kameron, and Xiao Chu, you three shouldn’t go down later," Yusuf Zuck said, looking at Mia.

"Mmhmm," Rene Benson nodded lightly, her presence above was enough to ensure Mia’s safety.

"Why? Why not? How can I miss out on something so fun?" Mia protested loudly.

Yusuf Zuck said sternly, "It’s dangerous. There’s something strange about this tomb."

"Oh." Seeing Yusuf Zuck’s serious face, Mia immediately calmed down. She didn’t want to be a burden or a worry to Yusuf Zuck; being too willful won’t make her endearing to anyone!

"Alright, I’m going back down to prepare for the blast." After recalculating the amount of explosives, Lao Ba carried several objects that looked like blocks of jelly back down into the tunnel, taking the electric wires needed to detonate the bombs with him.

Yusuf Zuck and the others retreated, waiting patiently.
