Chapter 760: Chapter 759: Scandal?

"What exactly happened?" Yusuf Zuck got into Fleur Carson’s car, and as they headed towards Marlon Shepherd’s house, he discovered that Marlon Shepherd hadn’t been arrested; he was just under house surveillance, probably the kind cooperating with an investigation. So, he was still living at his own place.

Yusuf Zuck’s expression was a bit ugly because, thinking about the timing, he hadn’t been gone a year yet, and now someone had the audacity to claim a free share of Sky Easy’s dry stocks?

Who had the guts to do that? To want a dry stock was to want to take Yusuf Zuck’s money for free?

In the past, Yusuf Zuck had heard about some young masters from influential families or children of officials who held dry stocks in major companies; this money was given freely to them because trouble would follow if you didn’t give in to them.

The secular world was a mundane society, also a society of personal connections. Although the people here didn’t pursue any cultivation level or seek immortality, they were engaged in endless intrigues and power struggles.

"We haven’t figured out exactly whom we’ve offended yet. The situation now is that there’s a middleman with the surname Murillo involved in the dialogue with Marlon Shepherd. This Mr. Murillo is quite powerful too, the chairman of Changyuan Trading. Oh, and do you know the Imperial Palace Hotel? It’s one of his properties."

"Someone with the surname Murillo?" Yusuf Zuck was sure he didn’t know anyone by that name.

"Called Armando Murillo, a big name in the domestic circle of tycoons, a very famous bigwig. However, he’s just a middleman, most likely working for someone behind the scenes. I’ve used all my resources to investigate, but I still haven’t been able to find out anything."

"What about Devin King? Didn’t you ask him?" Yusuf Zuck frowned and said.

"I did, but Devin King has been avoiding me and Marlon Shepherd. Since you left, we’re nothing in his eyes," Fleur Carson replied with a bitter smile.

"Hmph." Upon hearing Fleur Carson’s words, Yusuf Zuck snorted angrily. It was the classic case of ’out of sight, out of mind.’ He’d gone to the Dragon Gate World, so perhaps some thought he wouldn’t come back; thus, they could consider Devin King showing restraint by not tripping up Marlon Shepherd and the others as being merciful.

"By the way, where’s Louise? Why isn’t she in the capital?" Yusuf Zuck suddenly asked.

"After you left, Miles O’Brien resigned from everything and left the capital. Initially, there was some contact, but later when I called a few times, she didn’t pick up. The sixth time I called, her phone was switched off, and it has been ever since."

"Didn’t I assign a woman from the Blood Race to secretly protect her?" Yusuf Zuck asked with a heavy tone.

"She got rid of her and sent her back. I don’t know what happened. But you, you should let go when it’s time to let go, right? You weren’t married, at most she was a lover. Do you really want a lover for a lifetime?" Fleur Carson advised.

Yusuf Zuck let out a breath and shook his head, "Let’s deal with Marlon Shepherd’s matter first, then I’ll look for her."

"Mmhmm, and how are my dad and Sara? How is everyone doing?"

"They are all fine. The old man should be traveling in Switzerland right now. Sara and Dream Morrow’s relationship is also good, but Sara was caught in a scandal, photographed on a late-night date with someone."

"Damn, really?" Yusuf Zuck exclaimed in shock.

"It’s all over the internet. It’s huge; the guy is some ultra-rich, handsome, and overseas-educated man."

"Did you call Dream to ask about it?" Yusuf Zuck worried.

"How can I ask about that? It’s their personal business, and it’s not appropriate for me to ask," Fleur Carson said with a wry smile.

"Give me the phone." Yusuf Zuck was somewhat angry. What was Sara thinking? Had she really cheated?

Fleur Carson tossed the phone to Yusuf Zuck, who promptly searched for and dialed Dream Morrow’s number.

The call surprisingly got through, after five rings.

"Are you sick, Mr. Carson? Look at the time! You like to call people in the middle of the night, huh? Lonely and bored, right? If you’re bored, scratch the wall! Why take it out on me?" Dream Morrow exploded into a rant as soon as he picked up the phone, scolding non-stop!

"Scratch the wall my ass, I damn well feel like scratching you!" Yusuf Zuck cursed back with a laugh.

"Huh?" There was a sudden surprise on the other end, followed by hearty laughter, "Bro, you’re back? Sara, it’s your brother’s call!"

"Is that so? My brother has come back?" A murmured voice came through the phone—it was Sara, who else could it be?

In the dead of night, Dream and Sara were sleeping together, huh.

"Let Sara sleep first, I need to talk to you, come out and take the call!" Yusuf ordered.

"Oh, oh." After Dream responded twice in succession, he seemed to move to another room.

"What’s up?" A moment later, Dream asked.

"What’s the deal with Sara’s scandal? Who’s this tall, rich, and handsome guy?" Yusuf whispered.

"Damn, you’ve come back and got nothing better to do? Why are you even following this news?" Dream raised his voice.

"I’m asking you what’s going on!" Yusuf shouted back.

"Some bastard with the surname Shang took over Emperor Entertainment, then invested in a movie, and Sara took this film role. That Shang bastard has been trying all sorts of ways to get close to Sara; gifting her nine hundred ninety-nine roses daily, visiting the set every day. Since he’s the producer and a contract has been signed, it’s not always possible to avoid him. As a result, they’ve had a few meals together and got snapped by the paparazzi. Now it’s driving me and Sara crazy."

"Emperor Entertainment was taken over?" Yusuf exclaimed in surprise.

"Yeah, it was maliciously acquired," Dream sighed, "The Petty Family are now in deep trouble too, because their business has been targeted."

"That Shang guy didn’t do anything to Sara, did he?" Yusuf asked worriedly.

"No, I went with her. I just waited outside, and we also had Blood Race people with us. But this Shang guy has quite a background, he’s got experts with him!"

"What kind of experts?" Yusuf asked, surprised.

"I don’t know, the very powerful kind that just looking at them makes you feel scared!"

"Is Sara still shooting the film?"

"Yeah, that Shang guy comes every day. I reckon he’s got his eyes on Sara. Damn it, if he pushes me too far, I’ll make sure he regrets it!" Dream cursed loudly.

"Okay, I got it. Keep in touch at all times. I’m not leaving anymore," Yusuf took a deep breath, relieved that Sara wasn’t cheating but it was just a persistent fly that wouldn’t buzz off.

"Shang? Where did this guy come from?" Yusuf muttered to himself after hanging up the phone.

"Haha, as long as they are okay. Aren’t you back anyway?" Fleur laughed heartily.

"Yeah, who cares about the Xia Dynasty or the Western Zhou, I am Jedidiah Zuck!" Yusuf laughed out loud.

When they arrived outside Marlon’s villa, Yusuf did indeed see two plainclothes officers in a car, surveilling Marlon’s residence.

Marlon had changed his villa, now located in the East Second Ring, very close to Ruth’s old villa.

Fleur called Marlon, telling him to come out and meet without saying much on the phone because Marlon’s home phone and mobile were surely being tapped as well.

Marlon emerged from the villa, puzzled, but as he did so, the two tailing officers in the car outside also immediately got out.

The surveillance meant Marlon was not permitted to leave the house, confined to his yard!

Yusuf didn’t get out of the car, and neither did Fleur; only Marlon negotiated with those two individuals, pointing at Fleur’s car!

But the other party showed no intention of letting Marlon out.

"They won’t let him out, what do we do?" Fleur then looked at Yusuf.
