Devin King’s call came through again an hour later, and with regret, he informed Yusuf Zuck that his people couldn’t stop Rachel Fournier and Sophia. Sophia was too tough to handle, causing many of his people to be poisoned. Therefore, they had no choice but to use the Token in exchange for the antidote.

After receiving this message, Yusuf Zuck immediately hung up the phone. Rachel Fournier and Sophia were determined to leave, so even if he went back to try and stop them, it would have been in vain. Besides, on what grounds could he stop them?

Two days later, in the capital, Yusuf Zuck read the letter that Rachel Fournier had left behind. It was personally delivered by the elder from Sanya, who didn’t open it since it was addressed for Yusuf Zuck’s eyes only.

The letter was lengthy, spanning seven or eight pages, reminiscing about her interactions with Yusuf Zuck. Rachel Fournier also wrote about her dreams, about wanting to become strong one day, which was why she had been following Yusuf Zuck, hoping to meet Master Huang and receive his guidance.

Sara Zuck and Dream Morrow also left, heading back to Dream’s hometown in Shandong since it had been two years since he last visited.

On the first day of the new year, Yusuf Zuck and Miles O’Brien went to Shijiazhuang to visit Miles’ parents. After staying at Miles’ place until the fourth day, they went to visit Paisley Kirk’s parents.

Returning on the seventh day, Yusuf Zuck paid a visit to Ember Vance’s place but was met with a warm greeting from Ember and a somewhat cold reception from her parents.

Yusuf Zuck guessed why Ember’s parents were cold toward him; after all, it was he who had interfered with their daughter’s relationship, and after meddling, he disappeared. So naturally, Ember’s parents wouldn’t be pleased.

He didn’t stay for a meal at the Vance Family Villa; Ember Vance personally escorted Yusuf Zuck out, and they walked around the housing complex.

"What have you been busy with?" Ember’s mood also wasn’t great, Yusuf Zuck had said he would pursue her again, but then he was gone for a long time.

"Ember, I’m sorry!" Yusuf Zuck suddenly stopped, turned around to face her, and said.

"What’s there to apologize for?" Ember lowered her head because in that moment, Yusuf Zuck’s gaze was a bit... intense!

"Can I hug you?" Yusuf Zuck opened his arms and said.

"Haven’t you hugged me before? Are you playing the gentleman now?" Ember Vance whispered.

"Ha ha!" Caught off guard by Ember Vance’s words, he burst into laughter, then pulled her in, holding her tightly in his embrace!

Ember Vance closed her eyes, "I feel like you’re so familiar yet so distant, you might not believe it, but occasionally I dream, and it’s all about you, scenes that I don’t have in my memory, I even... I also dreamed..." Ember Vance couldn’t go on, even a young girl gets springtime fantasies, and the things she dreamed of were indescribable, but indeed she dreamed—and the man was Yusuf Zuck!

"It was Doyle who delivered it personally; he’s at the hotel."

If the younger Roswell used to be someone significant, someone who could pose him a threat, then after he subdued the Blood Race, Roswell had become insignificant. Thus, there was no need for him to appreciate the trophy of war anymore.

"Deal with it yourselves, back to the villa," Yusuf Zuck ordered indifferently.
