Invisible Security Guard -
Chapter 500 - 499: Coincidence
Chapter 500: Chapter 499: Coincidence
Many people from countries around the world like to go to the United States, the legendary land of the Statue of Liberty, where their nation is free.
Of course, there are also many people living in the United States who smuggle themselves into other countries. Some of these people are illegal immigrants, some are criminals, and some are from Middle Eastern Arab countries; they face considerable discrimination and surveillance in the United States.
This is because many, many believers in Allah hold deep hostility toward the United States.
Yusuf Zuck and Maurice Singleton squeezed into a small room at the bottom of the boat, while across from them was a larger chamber crammed with at least thirty people, unbearably crowded, foul-smelling, and exceedingly damp.
The reason the two of them had a separate room was that Maurice Singleton had spent a lot of money to bribe the smugglers. Even Yusuf Zuck’s Treasure Sword was allowed on board when he embarked.
The ship set out to sea, silently heading into the deep ocean. About six hours later, two steaming hot bowls of instant noodles were delivered to them by the ship’s guards.
This was VIP treatment, not available to the other stowaways; they could only gnaw on their dry rations and drink the cool water they had brought.
"Boss, hang in there. It won’t be long before we transfer to another ship, and then we’ll have a bigger room," Maurice Singleton said apologetically, well aware that if it weren’t for him, Yusuf Zuck could have left the country by plane. Yusuf Zuck had chosen to divert to Canada to take care of him.
Yusuf Zuck smiled indifferently, and after devouring the steaming noodles, he pondered for a moment before saying, "I would not abandon my good friend, and you, are my good friend."
Maurice Singleton was deeply moved, his eyes brimming with tears.
About a day later after the smuggling ship had sailed, it indeed stopped in the deep sea, where everyone was transferred onto a larger cargo ship, and the smugglers informed them that they were now safe.
"Maurice Singleton, ask them where we are," Yusuf Zuck instructed softly as they boarded the cargo ship.
"This is the deep sea of the Western Pacific. They don’t know the exact coordinates," Maurice Singleton whispered back.
"I see other ships in the distance. Could this be a shipping lane?" Yusuf Zuck peered into the darkness. Though it was night, glimmers of light were visible in the distance, suggesting the presence of other vessels.
"I’ll go ask," Maurice Singleton immediately ran toward the smugglers on the cargo ship, pulled out a few US dollars, and carefully spoke to them.
A moment later, Maurice Singleton returned and said, "This is indeed a shipping lane. Many cargo ships headed for the United States West Coast pass through here. He’s urging us to quickly get below deck since the passing vessels are numerous, and if we’re spotted, they’ll throw us all overboard to the sharks."
"Let’s go, down below," Yusuf Zuck nodded without saying another word. They were still in the maritime territory of the United States, where the passing ships were headed for various cities on the United States West Coast.
Once again, the two of them had no special treatment and were squeezed into a cabin with everyone else.
The cargo ship continued sailing, and they had no idea in which direction they were heading.
The hold was cramped, and they had to take care of their bodily functions there, so the stench inside was truly nauseating. A few times, Yusuf Zuck considered rushing to the deck for fresh air, but he restrained himself, considering that if anything happened, the United States Navy would quickly be upon them.
After two nights and a day, on the fourth night of their smuggling voyage, the sound of a cargo ship’s horn rang out. It was two blasts, like two acquainted cars honking at each other as they passed by.
Yusuf Zuck immediately extended his telekinesis out, and about a mile away, a cargo ship brushed past them, flying the five-star red flag of China!
Yusuf Zuck was stunned when he saw the flag, but as he focused on everything on the ship, he suddenly leaped up.
"Haha," he laughed heartily. They say the world is full of coincidences, and today he had finally encountered one.
He had been on that ship before, the very same tire ship he rode when he came to the United States—the captain was still Captain Wu, and the first mate was the same as before, only Manager Liu was missing.
Of course, the cargo in the containers had changed from tires to computer software.
"Boss, what are you laughing about?" Because the hold was so dark, and it was deep into the night, everyone was asleep, so Yusuf Zuck’s loud laugh not only woke Maurice Singleton but also gave everyone else quite a fright.
"What are you ghost screaming about?" A guard sent by the smugglers kicked the door, "Shut up, all of you. Make another sound, and I’ll throw you all into the sea to feed the sharks."
"No need for you to feed us, I’m coming out," Yusuf Zuck said as he pushed the iron door of the hold open with one palm and then, gripping the terrified Maurice Singleton, strode out.
"Fuck!" The guard cursed loudly, and immediately reached for his gun.
"Thud." Before he could draw his weapon, Yusuf Zuck swiftly closed the distance between them and pressed against the guard’s chest, shattering his heart with a palm strike.
"Let’s go, up top." Yusuf Zuck, as if strolling in a leisurely manner, pulled Maurice Singleton along and lifted the hatch to the ship’s hold. As Maurice moved forward, he didn’t forget to pick up the gun.
A night breeze was blowing. Although it carried the scent of the sea, it was far better than the air below!
"Who’s there..."
"Bang—" When spotted by someone on the ship, Maurice didn’t hesitate to shoot. He was the big boss of Suarez, a ruthless killer. If Yusuf had already gone on a killing spree, why should he show any restraint!
The sound of the gun alerted the rest of the crew and sailors, as well as the smugglers and others, all brandishing their guns and rushing out.
However, when they rushed out with their guns, they were shocked to find that two stowaways were simultaneously leaping over the deck railing and into the sea together!
"Motherfucker..." The gunmen quickly ran to the railing to look down and fired a few shots into the sea.
But by then, where were the shadows of two stowaways to be found?
Jumping into the unmanned deep sea without any lifesaving equipment, they were surely doomed!
"A self-chosen death. Maybe they couldn’t bear it anymore. There have been such cases before where people snap and go on a killing spree before jumping into the sea to commit suicide," the boss explained to the others.
The others cursed a few times, then began to deal with the bodies. Being killed, they would certainly not call the police; they could only cover it up.
Yusuf, holding Maurice, only needed two movements before landing on a China-registered cargo ship.
The rest of the ship’s crew were also resting, but the first officer was sitting in the pilothouse, smoking.
Without making a sound, Yusuf led Maurice onto the deck. Then Yusuf threw away all his disguise items, like the fake hair, beard, and contact lenses, into the sea before boldly knocking on the door of the pilothouse.
"Hey, Leon, are we heading back to China or to the United States?" Yusuf asked while knocking on the door.
"Of course, we’re returning to..." The first officer began to respond out of habit but swiftly sensed something was off because everyone on board knew the cargo ship was en route home to China; no crew member would ask such a question!
He immediately grabbed a large wrench from the pilothouse and cautiously approached the metal door, frowning as he asked, "Who’s out there?"
"Yusuf Zuck," Yusuf replied indifferently.
"Ah? Brother Yusuf?" The first officer, Goodwin Hart, exclaimed in surprise and flung open the door. "Is it really you? When did you get on the ship?" Hart was both shocked and slightly excited. Yusuf had brought them many good things when he was aboard their ship. To this day, they often talked about Yusuf Zuck.
"Just came up, can’t you see I’m all wet? Where’s Captain Wu, how are the brothers? The ship is heading back to China, right?" Yusuf asked while beginning to take off his clothes.
"Going back to China, going back! The captain is sleeping; I’ll go call him right away," Goodwin Hart said excitedly, not fearing any ill intent from Yusuf and happily running into the cabin.
Moments later, Captain Wu and several crew members came running out. When they saw Yusuf, who had stripped off his clothes and was taking a cold shower, they all burst into hearty laughter.
"Yusuf, aren’t you afraid of catching a cold? Is this foreign friend someone you brought aboard? Haha, we’ve all missed you very much!" Captain Wu and the other crew members liked Yusuf a lot, for he was without fault.
"Yes, my friend Maurice Singleton." Yusuf turned off the water and motioned to Maurice, saying, "Maurice, get all the cash out and distribute it to the brothers on the ship."
"Okay, boss." Maurice opened his travel bag, which contained a large vacuum-sealed bag full of neatly stacked US dollars, easily amounting to over a million.
Captain Wu and the crew members were all stunned. A million US dollars, how much money was that?
