Chapter 472: Chapter 471: The Sword on the Giant Skeleton

The route to San Francisco was very safe since it didn’t go through the Indian Ocean or Malacca, so there were no worries about pirates or the like.

As Captain Wu put it, the route to San Francisco was the safest, crossing the Sea of Japan and then directly entering the Pacific Ocean. If you traveled in a straight line, you could even reach the Hawaiian Islands.

Yusuf Zuck began his undersea exploration journey.

Since Captain Wu and the others had already witnessed his abilities, when he jumped into the sea again the next day, everyone was gathered at the deck railing, talking and laughing, hoping that he would bring back even more treasures.

And indeed, he did bring back treasures, all of which were large pearls. In fact, the main reason Yusuf Zuck dove into the sea was to search for the Purple Pearl.

Unfortunately, Purple Pearls were not something one could seek at will. He found many white pearls but not a single Purple Pearl.

He gave the white pearls to the sailors on the ship as a small bribe.

Every day, in addition to pearls, he would also bring back some rare species of fish, and even on the fourth day, he carried back an Octopus Demon.

The sea was incredibly rich in resources, and these days Yusuf Zuck also saw many beautiful corals, crystals, and even many fossils.

The greatest discovery was an ancient shipwreck that had many exquisite porcelain, Jade Artifacts, Ancient Coins, and gold and silver ornaments, all well-preserved!

He didn’t make a fuss about it, nor did he salvage those ancient porcelains. Instead, after returning to the cargo ship, he just noted down the coordinates. These were all enormous treasures that maybe could be privately salvaged one day.

On the twelfth day of the voyage, just after passing the Hawaiian Islands, Yusuf Zuck discovered a sword on the sea floor, a Long Sword covered in sea moss.

Yes, a sword, even though it was all covered with moss and algae, his Telekinesis also revealed that it was indeed a sword.

Of course, it wasn’t the sword that shocked him, but the fact that the sword seemed to be plunged into the head of some kind of animal.

Due to the muddy seabed, only the hilt of the sword was visible.

Yusuf Zuck, in the water, squinted as he cast his Telekinesis over the sword and probed into the mud beneath it.

However, this probing was significant. When he made out the true situation beneath the mud, he froze, standing dumbfounded in the water, not knowing what to do.

A huge skeleton, probably around one hundred and seventy or eighty meters long with a head that looked like both a giant snake and a dragon.

Yes, that one hundred and seventy or eighty-meter-long skeleton, winding like a giant snake but how could a snake have legs?

"How many legs?" Yusuf Zuck looked closely at the skeleton and then saw that there was only one leg, a bone of a single leg.

"There’s also a horn, just one!" Yusuf Zuck’s gaze intensified because the sword was stuck in the top of the skeleton’s head, and above that head was a horn, shiny and stone-like in the mud.

For the first time, Yusuf Zuck felt like he was dreaming, as if he were living in a fairy tale world.

A giant skeleton over one hundred meters long with a horn and a foot, what kind of skeleton was this?

But obviously, this skeleton must have been buried in the underwater world for thousands, if not tens of thousands of years, because the skeleton was nearly fossilized.

After thinking for a while, Yusuf Zuck swam down to the muddy site of the sword.

The location was somewhat cold, as if the sword itself was emitting a chill.

Yusuf Zuck saw through the Thought shrouded gaze that although the sword was covered in seaweed and moss, it was not rusty inside. Could a sword capable of slaying such a huge monster possibly be a Treasure Sword?

He gently gripped the mossy handle, and a chill rushed along his arm straight into his body!

Like an electric shock, Yusuf Zuck immediately drew back his hand. What the hell kind of sword was this, way more awesome than his own Short Sword, right?

"Again!" Yusuf Zuck gritted his teeth, grabbed the sword handle with Dail, and at the same time, the purple specks in his mind reappeared, seemingly helping him resist the cold.

"Come out!"

With a "whoosh" as he flicked the sword upward, the seaweed and moss fell off on their own, revealing a sword flashing with a cold purple light.

"Splash," as soon as he flicked the sword out, the winding hundred-meter silt suddenly collapsed, and with a focused look, Yusuf Zuck saw the giant hundred-meter skeleton shattered, along with that glittering horn reduced to debris!

The sword handle, made of an unknown wood, had not decayed, and the Treasure Sword felt light in hand, not heavy at all; aside from a bit of coldness, the sword body emitted a slight purple hue, hence the purple light it reflected.

"A Treasure Sword forged from purple minerals? Nice find!" Yusuf Zuck waved it twice in the water, then took out a dagger and chopped it towards the purple sword!

With a "snap", the dagger shattered upon hitting the sword.

Yes, shattered, not broken, but shattered by the force rebounding from the sword’s body.

"Holy shit!" Yusuf Zuck was shocked. If it had simply broken, he wouldn’t have been surprised; a sword that could slay such an enormous creature was certainly a treasure without doubt.

But this Treasure Sword being able to shatter his own dagger was just too powerful.

"I’ve struck it rich, struck it rich! This is what they mean by ’out with the old, in with the new’!" Yusuf Zuck laughed heartily. The Short Sword had been taken by the Dragon Squad, and he hadn’t even thought about stealing it back yet. Just as he was feeling frustrated without a handy weapon, now, in this vast and boundless underwater world, he had found such an incredible treasure!

The hard work of the past several days was not in vain; he may not have found the Purple Pearl, but finding this sword was a huge payoff!

"The seabed, truly a place of unexpected wonders!"

"But is this hundred-meter giant a snake, a dragon, or perhaps a jiao?" Yusuf Zuck used his Telekinesis once more to peer into the silt below. In ancient times, there must have been such large reptiles, right?

And this sword and skeleton, they must have been buried under the sea for thousands, if not tens of thousands of years.

"Hmm, what’s that?" Just as Yusuf Zuck was using his Telekinesis to look at the skeleton once more, suddenly, right in front of him, where the skeleton’s head was, he saw a colorful bead buried among a pile of broken bones.

Curiously, Yusuf Zuck used the sword to shift the broken bones and silt aside, and moments later, a fist-sized, beautiful, multicolored bead appeared before him!

"What’s this? An eye or... a Dragon Ball?" Yusuf Zuck was greatly surprised and immediately picked up the multicolored bead.

It had nothing special about it, the bead was smooth and heavy, looking both like a stone yet not, very beautiful, with dazzling, colorful luster.

"Never mind, I’ll study it after I bring it back!" Yusuf Zuck, fearing the cargo ship getting further away and not being able to catch up would spoil everything, and now having passed the Hawaii Islands, it wouldn’t take long to reach San Francisco.

He pocketed the bead, hung the Purple Light Sword, and burst through the sea surface, swiftly chasing the black dot on the distant sea level.

Under the night sky, the sky was blue, the sea was blue, and when Yusuf Zuck jumped back onto the cargo ship, he went straight to his room.
