Chapter 445: Chapter 444: To Serve as a Warning to Others

Two men, both within the grasp of his telekinesis, one hidden behind a tree, the other lying atop the roof of a pavilion. Both were well concealed, utterly silent and motionless.

Among these two, Yusuf Zuck unexpectedly recognized an acquaintance.

Devin King, the deputy leader of the Dragon Group, had no Cultivation Level to speak of; at least Yusuf Zuck had not detected any Gang Qi presence in him until now.

However, the one lying on top of the pavilion pavilion was merely a Truth-Insight.

The man in black holding the military dagger made his move, knowing that Donald Meskill was reaching the end of his strength, now was the perfect time to take his life while he was ill, otherwise, it would be extremely difficult to kill him once he had recovered.

When the broken sword collided with the military dagger, a cascade of sparks flew. Donald Meskill and the man with the dagger both staggered back and then the latter charged again.

With a "swoosh," Donald Meskill hurled the broken Treasure Sword at the man with the dagger, who in turn swung his dagger to block it.

However, in that critical moment, Donald Meskill, as if possessed by a Ghost, suddenly stepped through mid-air and, like a phantom, instantly swept to the man’s side.

It was only then that the man had just deflected the broken Treasure Sword.

"Die." Although Donald Meskill had only one arm and had bled profusely, leveraging his unmatched speed, he fiercely seized the man’s dagger-wielding arm and viciously twisted it, wrenching the dagger straight from his grasp.

With a "puh," the dagger angled upward, piercing through the man’s heart with a slash as if gutting him.

Despite a single arm, excessive blood loss, and being at the end of his power, he managed to kill the man with the dagger.

This was the mark of a freak of nature, powerful and calm, dispatching his enemies in the quickest and most efficient way possible every time he engaged in battle.

The man with the dagger slowly fell, blood gushing from his chest. Donald Meskill, holding the military dagger, turned around to face Yusuf Zuck.

"If you had joined forces with him just now, maybe I would be the one dying," Donald Meskill said indifferently.

"I too wished for his death," Yusuf Zuck shook his head.

Donald Meskill laughed heartily: "Good, let’s begin then." As his words fell, he suddenly charged at Yusuf Zuck.

At that moment, he was like a Deity descending upon the earth, holding the triangular military dagger in one hand, and cradling his still-bleeding arm with the other, his entire presence unspeakably fierce and terrifying.

With a loud "clang," sparks flew. The military dagger, made of some unknown material, was not cleaved by Yusuf Zuck’s Short Sword. When the two clashed, Yusuf Zuck immediately felt a wave-like force flooding continuously towards him.

Donald Meskill was close to completing his Fasting, so his strength was beyond something Yusuf Zuck could contend with.

In an instant, Yusuf Zuck felt a sweetness in his throat, spit out a mouthful of blood, and was sent flying backward.

Once Donald Meskill entered battle mode, he was as cold and unfeeling as a machine. Although he had won with one move, he showed no pride, instead, his phantom-like form surged forward again, moving swiftly towards Yusuf Zuck to finish him off.

Just then, as he was about to approach Yusuf Zuck, Yusuf Zuck’s body vanished into thin air.

Donald Meskill holding the dagger twitched his facial muscles; an unseen enemy was the most dangerous one. Yusuf Zuck’s power did not match his, and without significant martial skills, but with his ability to become Invisible, he was immediately in an impregnable position.

Donald Meskill didn’t move but stood still, listening intently to the wind, the movements around him, and observing any unusual signs in the nearby land.

"Huh..." Suddenly, after a breath or two, Donald Meskill heard the surging sound of wind beside him, and without thinking, he stabbed towards the sound while quickly falling sideways.

"Pfft," Yusuf Zuck’s Short Sword pierced through Donald Meskill’s clothing, prying it open and grazing his belly, leaving a deep gash.

Donald Meskill reacted too quickly, yet he didn’t manage to stab Yusuf Zuck, for Yusuf Zuck had telekinesis and effortlessly dodged with quick reflexes.

Yusuf Zuck disappeared again; as Donald Meskill tensely rose to his feet with a carp flip jump, he became more anxious, fully immersing himself in a combat-ready state.

"Whoosh," Yusuf Zuck attacked once more, appearing beside him. Donald Meskill lunged with his military dagger yet again while concurrently rolling on the ground.

Yusuf Zuck saw that Donald Meskill had indeed become much weaker, severely lacking in energy and blood, with his strength and speed significantly diminished. He knew that Donald Meskill was nearly finished.

"Go," he decisively abandoned his sword, and at the utterance, the Short Sword flew out of his grip, assuming an attacking form, slashing, chopping, or stabbing at Donald Meskill as he rolled on the ground.

Donald Meskill did not stand up but lay there, retreating while parrying the tricky Flying Sword from the ground.

With a "clang," after clashing about five or six times, his military dagger broke. Although the military dagger was a specialized lethal weapon, the Short Sword was a Divine Weapon—how could a mere weapon not break against a Divine Weapon?

And Donald Meskill didn’t anticipate that his military dagger would snap, so amidst his cry of alarm, his right arm—half of his right arm with the hand—was severed clean off.

Indeed, by now, Donald Meskill had lost both his hands.

"Whoosh," the tip of the Short Sword pressed against the forehead of Donald Meskill, who lay on the ground, and the struggling man instantly went still.

Though a prodigy, though once in three hundred years, a martial arts genius, without hands, he was like a tiger without claws and teeth—he could no longer fight and was only waiting for death.

But Yusuf Zuck did not kill him right away; although the sword tip was against his forehead and had drawn blood, it did not pierce through.

"What? Going soft?" Donald Meskill forced himself up, his back ramrod straight.

Yusuf Zuck revealed himself, standing ten meters away from Donald Meskill. He shook his head and said, "I want to tell you that I will no longer kill any more members of the Meskill Family, so you can die peacefully."

"Thank you. I believe you," Donald Meskill nodded, then suddenly took a vigorous step forward, and the Flying Sword stabbed directly into his fontanelle.

"Bang," he fell rigidly to the ground, dead.

The Flying Sword returned to Yusuf Zuck’s hand, who did not turn or look back but said indifferently, "Group Leader King, I’ve killed one of your soldiers, why have you not shown yourself yet?"

"What?" Devin King, who had been hiding in the shadows, was shocked. How did Yusuf Zuck know he had followed him? How did he know it was him? He was quite far away and even had his face covered—how could Yusuf Zuck recognize him?

He stepped out from behind a tree, removing his mask with a cold expression.

"The other friend should come out too. Isn’t it chilly up in that pavilion? Don’t freeze your kidneys!" Yusuf Zuck turned around to address the other person hiding in a pavilion.

"Swoosh," that person performed a somersault from the pavilion and quickly approached Yusuf Zuck.

Devin King, with a rotund midsection, did not carry a weapon, but as he walked, he pulled out a pair of glasses, appearing to be his reading glasses.

"Yusuf Zuck, essentially, you were a trustworthy person, worthy of our reliance and use. Only, you’ve been too impulsive," Devin King stood five meters from Yusuf Zuck, shaking his head, "You can kill people, but you can’t slaughter the innocent. Even if you had to kill, a simple stab would suffice. Why behead and dismember? Do you know your actions have enraged the higher-ups? How is this different from a terrorist?"

"We can’t cover for you anymore. The order from the top is that we must bring you to justice, to serve as a warning to others!"

"So, you’re really here to kill me?" Yusuf Zuck raised his eyebrows and asked.
