Chapter 277: Chapter 277: The Man Behind the Scenes is Brother Dao

"I can’t be bothered with you," Mr. Yu said dismissively after casting a cold glance at Yusuf Zuck and Sara Zuck, then turned and entered his office, making sure to close the door firmly behind him.

No sooner had he entered the office than Mr. Yu immediately rushed to his desk, picked up the phone, and dialed a number.

A moment later, the call connected and a languid voice came through from the other end, "What’s up?"

"Lucy, there’s something I need to report to you about that Sara Zuck," Mr. Yu whispered.

"Sara Zuck? Hasn’t she signed? What’s the issue?" Lucy perked up on the other end of the line, her voice turning deep.

"Sara Zuck and her brother came here saying they want to cancel the contract. I told them legal wasn’t in and to come back next week. Moreover, her brother looks pretty intimidating. He just called someone over!" Since Mr. Yu was a legitimate businessman, not a street player, he felt somewhat fearful and timid.

"He actually came? Wants to cancel?" Lucy took a deep breath, "They can’t cancel, just stall, and don’t ever mention my name. Find any excuse to delay them, got it?"

"But what if they resort to force?" Mr. Yu whispered.

"Resort to force? Who in Beijing is tougher than me? What are you afraid of? Don’t worry, they won’t dare to touch you. This trick is old hat; I played it when I was still wearing diapers. So you have nothing to fear. At most, they’ll try to intimidate, and you, you could even call the police or something. In short, the contract can’t be canceled, and you absolutely mustn’t reveal me, understand?"

"I understand, Lucy. I’ll do as you say!" Mr. Yu hung up the phone, and the person on the other end was none other than Lucy Clayton, the big player in Beijing!

Although this big player had always been quiet and never troubled Yusuf Zuck, she was now playing tricks. Who knew what she was planning by starting with Sara Zuck!

Yusuf Zuck hadn’t used telekinesis to probe Mr. Yu’s office; otherwise, he would have heard the phone conversation. At this moment, he was comforting his sister and sending Sara Zuck downstairs.

That’s right, from now on, Sara Zuck wasn’t his concern anymore, and he was about to play hardball!

"Wait here for a moment. Floyd Hart and Samuel Ross will be here soon. You and Floyd go home to pack your things. There’s a meeting at the Ruiz Family yard at three o’clock this afternoon, and you should attend," he told Sara.

"Brother, what are you going to do? Please, don’t do anything foolish. If they say come back next week, then let’s come back next week!" Sara pleaded urgently.

"You’re going to Hong Kong tomorrow; how can you come back next week? Clearly, Mr. Yu is giving us a hard time, so you don’t need to worry about it. I’ll handle it. But rest assured, I won’t do anything illegal. What can happen in broad daylight? So, no worries!" he reassured her.

"Then I’ll leave now. No need to wait for Floyd to escort me!" Although Sara didn’t know exactly what her brother was planning, she understood that she couldn’t contribute much by staying.

"No way, I can’t be at ease if you go alone. Floyd will be here soon," he insisted.

Samuel Ross and Floyd Hart arrived quickly because Samuel had detected a note of force in Yusuf Zuck’s voice over the phone – an explicit command.

This kind of command was a first in their interactions with Yusuf Zuck – it was the first time he had ordered them around.

Sure enough, it wasn’t just Samuel and Floyd who came. In the Buick car behind them were Column, Fifty Cents, Uriel Arellano, and Grey Petty.

They had rushed over following Samuel’s orders, who had simply stated that the boss was in trouble and needed manpower – everyone was to assemble!

Samuel and Floyd were the first to enter the office building, followed by Fifty Cents, Column, Uriel, and Grey.

"Everyone’s here? Good, then. Floyd and Grey, you take my sister home first. The rest of you, stay with me!" Yusuf ordered.

"Yes, boss!" Without another word, Floyd and Grey nodded and proceeded to walk ahead of and behind Sara as they exited the building.

Yusuf Zuck gathered Samuel Ross, Floyd Hart, and the five-cent Uriel Arellano into a corner, then whispered, "There’s a film company upstairs that’s playing dirty with me. My sister signed a contract with them, but I want to terminate it. They’re defiant and refuse to cancel.

"I’ve even offered compensation, but they keep messing with me. And this contract with my sister must be terminated today because she’s going to sign with Emperor in Hong Kong tomorrow. You know Emperor, right?"

"Know... know... know, Dominick Christensen is with Emperor!" Uriel sang the latter part because Yusuf’s glare turned towards him.

"Right, so we have to get this small company to cancel the contract!"

"Just tell us what to do. Who’s afraid of playing tough?" Samuel spoke in a cold voice.

"Uriel, you don’t have to be involved. Today’s matter might get a bit illegal." Yusuf looked at Uriel then, because he had previously promised Uriel and Grey Petty that he wouldn’t involve them in illegal activities.

"Boss, you’re being too polite. I’m not good with words, I’m a bit slow, but with just one command from you, I’m on it!" Uriel declared his stance.

Yusuf had been taking care of them these days. Besides paying their salaries, he would also give them red packets for no special reason. They had even heard that there was going to be a meeting this afternoon and that red packets for the end of the year would be given, possibly big ones. Therefore, working for Yusuf felt comfortable.

"Alright, actually, it’s not exactly illegal. Today we’ll proceed in two steps!" Yusuf continued, "First, Pillar and I will go upstairs to talk to the president. If the president remains stubborn, we will come downstairs. Then, you guys will wait downstairs, follow him when he finishes work, and go to his house to intimidate him. If intimidating him at his home doesn’t work, then bring up his wife and kids! Of course, just to scare him. Definitely don’t harm his wife or kids, got it?"

"In short, we must terminate the contract today. You guys can’t really hurt anyone, understand?"

"Understood." The group nodded.

"Tonight, when you few take action, it’s best to cover your faces with stockings or something so he can’t see you. Pillar and I will go upstairs first." Yusuf signaled with his eyes to Pillar, and the two entered the elevator.

Samuel led Uriel and Floyd Hart out of the building to prepare.

Meanwhile, right when the elevator reached the eighth floor, Yusuf and Pillar happened to run into President Yu carrying his bag, seemingly about to leave work.

"President Yu, I need to talk to you about my sister’s contract!" Yusuf and Pillar stopped President Yu at the elevator door, preventing him from entering.

"I have to go out for an errand. Come back next week and make way!" he said, attempting to be the first to take control.

"Ha, I want to discuss my sister’s contract with you right now, and you’re not going anywhere until we’re done!" Yusuf said with a smile.

"Are you threatening me? Do you believe I’d call the police?" President Yu spoke coldly.

Yusuf shrugged, "If you want to call the police, go ahead. It’s not illegal to discuss my sister’s contract, is it?"

"I’ve already told you to wait for legal affairs to return, to come next week. Why are you so persistently annoying? I have important matters to attend to right now. Let me tell you, if you delay my urgent business, you can’t afford the consequences!"

"My sister’s issue is also urgent, and if you delay her, you can’t afford it either!" Yusuf countered, playing the scoundrel’s part.

"I can’t negotiate with you. It has to be the legal affairs department that discusses the termination with you; I’m not responsible for the specific termination," President Yu insisted, shaking his head.

"My sister said you were the one who signed with her, so I’m dealing directly with you. What kind of bird is legal affairs? I don’t know them!"

"Wait until next week." President Yu still urged Yusuf to wait until the following week and, after finishing speaking, he turned and walked towards the stairs, opting not to take the elevator.

Yusuf didn’t rush after him, nor did Pillar, but as soon as President Yu entered the stairwell, Yusuf and Pillar quickly followed.
