Chapter 1459: Chapter 1459: Discussing Ni Ma Bi
In the Sea God Palace, the air was filled with incense and fine wine, and revelry and celebration abounded.
It had to be admitted, the Royal Clan really knew how to live, how to indulge—the Heavenly Demon Imperial Clan, despite the distinction, was still a Royal Clan, living days of unparalleled luxury and debauchery.
The Sea God Palace was dazzlingly opulent, with eighteen mermaid-tailed young women performing belly dances, alongside a group of partly transformed Celestial Beasts—some with turtle shells on their backs, others with claw-like hands—playing all sorts of instruments.
Honestly, their instruments were rough and rudimentary, but the melodies produced were remarkably pleasing.
Long tables were arranged in the hall, laden with fruits, wine, and delicacies. What stood out most were the exquisite, custom-engraved serving vessels adorned with intricate patterns.
Yusuf Zuck was flanked by two Royal Clan maidens as attendants, looking no older than sixteen or seventeen, dressed provocatively. Beside Yusuf sat Alicia Dickson.
Since arriving, Alicia had not said a word, letting Yusuf take the lead in all matters.
"So, that’s the situation. It’s because the Five Elements Sky Locking Array covers the entire Heavenly Realm from God’s Altar that we Celestial Beasts have been unable to enter the Mainland for countless years. Those few who can enter are either of low cultivation level or born within the Mainland itself," one explained.
"Within the Nine-Segment Line on the Heavenly Continent, Celestial Beasts born there can freely enter the Mainland. But those born outside the line are repelled," they continued.
"And as long as the main flag of the array is destroyed, the Five Elements Sky Locking Array would cease to exist. At that time, we Heavenly Demon Imperial Clan will be able to advance seamlessly and conquer the Heavenly Realm!"
"Wouldn’t that make me humanity’s greatest traitor?" Yusuf Zuck interjected upon hearing this.
"No, no, no. By then, you’ll be a son-in-law of one of the Four Major Royal Families. What kind of human are you even talking about? We could even have you manage all affairs on the Mainland," they replied.
"I’ll think about it. This is a major issue, and if it’s recorded in history books, how could I face it? It must be carefully planned," Yusuf said thoughtfully.
"Hehe, if you’re afraid of being branded a traitor to humanity, you could bring a few people to the God’s Altar. By then, you won’t need to personally remove the flag; we’ll have someone else do it for you," they suggested.
"Hmm, that’s worth considering," Yusuf’s eyes lit up.
"Exactly!" Seeing Yusuf’s expression brighten, the Four Elders were delighted. Having previously analyzed Yusuf’s temperament, they found him impulsive. In the Lower Realm, he was even nicknamed ’Old Devil Zuck’ for being ruthless and disregarding conventions. Forbidden taboos held no sway over him.
Moreover, Yusuf was susceptible to beautiful women, valuing both emotional ties and charm. Using his companions as leverage while presenting him with tempting beauties, they calculated, he would lose his clarity.
"Of course, we must secure an alliance. Verbal agreements mean nothing. Once it’s signed, if you fail to fulfill your end, divine retribution awaits. Naturally, we wouldn’t harm your woman—we’re really acting in your best interest..." The elder began feeding Yusuf a mix of sweet promises and thinly veiled threats.
"Alright, but remember, you said I’d rule the Heavenly Continent in the end," Yusuf seemed invigorated, his eyes gleaming brightly.
"Naturally. We Heavenly Demon Imperial Clan are known for keeping our word," the elder chuckled heartily. "Someone, bring the contract!"
"Wait a moment," Yusuf suddenly raised his hand to stop them. "I have another matter to settle before signing the contract."
"Oh? What is it?" The elder and the Four Royal Elders exchanged curious glances.
"Sabrina Dickson," Yusuf exhaled deeply and said, "Sabrina Dickson has been suppressed by your Royal Clan for too long. I promised Alicia I would rescue her father, and I cannot break my word. So, before signing the contract, I hope you’ll release Sabrina Dickson!"
"Release Sabrina Dickson?" The faces of the Four Royal Elders darkened simultaneously as they turned to Alicia Dickson, who had remained silent throughout.
Yusuf raised an eyebrow, puzzled. Sabrina Dickson wasn’t a controller of critical affairs, right? Even if released, it shouldn’t pose a significant issue to the Four Major Royal Families. Why were they showing such solemn expressions?
"This matter is unacceptable," the elder shook his head. "Sabrina Dickson’s situation is entirely separate from our endeavor to invade the Heavenly Continent."
"But it’s the same to me. I promised to save him—I can’t go back on my word," Yusuf’s voice grew firm.
"We need to discuss this further, but it doesn’t prevent us from signing the contract," another elder chimed in. He was eager to have Yusuf commit to the agreement, as it would allow them to proceed without hesitation afterward.
Ali Buck suddenly spoke up, "You might not know—Sabrina Dickson has fallen into madness. If released, he wouldn’t even recognize his own mother. Letting him out would be a disaster."
"Indeed, Sabrina Dickson has already ascended to the rank of controller but has lost his sanity, walking a path of demonic corruption. Releasing him would bring calamity not just to us Celestial Beasts but also to the heavenly citizens. It cannot be done," another elder added.
"If Sabrina Dickson isn’t released, how am I supposed to help you achieve your goals?" Yusuf pressed on.
"What does Sabrina Dickson have to do with anything? We’re talking about your woman, about the Heavenly Continent—this matter doesn’t concern him," the elder countered, attempting to steer back on topic. "You’re trying to confuse us, aren’t you? Well, it’s not working."
"Alright, I’ll make a concession. Alicia wants to meet her father. Surely, this can be arranged?" Yusuf appeared to compromise.
The Four Royal Elders exchanged glances before quickly dispersing their gazes. The elder then nodded, "A visitation could be possible, but she must go alone. You cannot accompany her."
"That’s unacceptable. I have to be with her," Yusuf shook his head.
"What’s the point of you going?"
"To accompany Miss Alicia, of course."
"That cannot happen. Only she may enter the Heavenly Prison..."
"But I don’t feel comfortable letting her go alone..."
"This requires further deliberation. Let’s continue tomorrow," the elder waved his hand dismissively.
As his hand waved, Kinpinger entered the hall from outside. Her complexion was glowing, and her strength seemed even greater than before.
"Kinpinger, have you broken through again?" the elder exclaimed in surprise.
Kinpinger smiled faintly. "Indeed. I’ve made another breakthrough, and everything has gone smoothly!" As she spoke, her gaze briefly flickered to Yusuf.
"Hahaha," the elder burst into laughter. "Wonderful! That’s enough for today. Arrange accommodations for Master Zuck and Miss Dickson—they’ll stay here tonight, and we’ll reconvene tomorrow!" With that, he and the other Four Royal Elders all stood up, followed by everyone else in the room.
The elder was clearly stalling. He didn’t believe Yusuf wouldn’t be anxious for Alicia’s safety. By adding some pressure tomorrow, whether Sabrina Dickson was released or not, they could first exploit Yusuf before discussing other matters.
Yet, as everyone stood up, including Alicia Dickson, Yusuf alone remained seated, grinning without moving an inch.
The crowd turned back to look at him. It was already late. They had eaten, drunk, and watched the dances. Wasn’t it time for rest? Why was Yusuf still sitting? Hadn’t he drunk enough? Hadn’t he seen enough performances?
"Master Zuck, that will be all for today. We have other matters to attend to, so shall we resume tomorrow?" The elder prompted.
Yusuf gently tapped the armrest and looked straight at the elder. "Why don’t you go screw yourself?"
