Chapter 1452: Black Tiger Saves the Master
Chapter 1452: Chapter 1452: Black Tiger Saves the Master
When the strange man dragged the half-dead Celestial Prince, Colter Flynn, into Sunset Square, it instantly caused a commotion. The square was surrounded so tightly, like an iron fortress—how did someone break in so quickly?
Of course, as he entered, many recognized him. He’d stayed with the Nash family for some time, and dressed the way he did—powder smeared, lips painted—he was simply impossible to miss.
Meanwhile, the battle in the sky raged on. Over a dozen Superior Divine Masters surrounded the black tiger, who was bathed in blood and roaring non-stop, its energy weakening with each second. The dozen Divine Masters, however, were growing more furious as they fought, harmonizing their ranged attacks to avoid engaging directly. The black tiger was clearly overwhelmed, its life hanging in the balance.
Still, many of those watching from afar sighed at the tiger’s loyalty. It knew Yusuf Zuck was within the Tower of Heaven and was sacrificing itself in an attempt to free him. It didn’t care about its own life—its only desire was to break or topple the tower to release its master.
Tyler Nash’s arrival, especially what he casually said afterward, caused the Tower of Heaven to tremble on its own, vibrating so aggressively that even the Eternal City and the Eight Great Guardian Cities could feel the ground shaking.
"Oh, oh, oh, did someone actually listen to me?" Tyler Nash continued dragging Colter Flynn like a dead pig as he walked toward the Tower of Heaven. Meanwhile, the experts of The Eight Great Families gathered one after another, but none of them dared to block his path.
They saw it clearly—Tyler Nash was holding none other than the leader of the East Sea Monster Vanguard, the Celestial Prince Colter Flynn.
Colter Flynn, the third son of the Flynn Clan from the East Sea Heavenly Demon Imperial Clan, was known in The Eight Great Families’ intel to be a Superior Divine Master—a force of sheer, terrifying might.
Yet now, this Colter Flynn had been beaten so badly he hardly resembled a person, dragged here like a dead pig. How?"
The arriving experts from The Eight Great Families were utterly baffled about Tyler Nash’s allegiance—enemy or ally?
If he was an enemy, then why had he subdued the Celestial Prince, reducing him to such a state and bringing him here?
But if he was their ally, something still felt off, especially since he had killed an entire group of guards in the square’s corner upon entering.
Thus, these experts could only form a moving perimeter, encircling him as he walked forward and synchronously moving with him.
The strange man shouted again, voice high and piercing, "Don’t think I’m lying! Look at who I’ve got in my hands! This is the Celestial Prince—some idiot named Colter Flynn. What a vile, disgusting name, but this Flynn is already finished, hahahaha..."
"Oh yeah, he told me that ten years ago, his dad captured a woman and a black tiger. The black tiger became his mount, but I saved it and set it free. The thing is, this black tiger’s too dumb—it’s willingly throwing itself back here to rescue its master. Jeez, so pathetic."
"But let’s be real—who’s even more pathetic? Probably you, huh? Your lady—whoever she is, the one who transforms into beasts—is getting torn apart by Flynn’s older brother, Flynn... Flynn whatever! Heard her belly’s swollen up, gonna pop out seven or eight Monster spawnlings soon..."
"I also know you’ve been trapped here for ten miserable years. Honestly, I don’t think you’re gonna make it. But we’ve still got beef, you and me! There’s hate between us! So I came here just to mess with you. Now that you’ve heard this news, you ought to cough up some blood by now—your liver must be burning, huh? Man, I just wanna see the look on your face right now. Bet it’s awful, but honestly it’s so satisfying to me!"
"Bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz—" The Tower of Heaven shook relentlessly again as the ground beneath Sunset Square began to crack. The giant tower swayed violently as if some tremendous creature inside was about to emerge.
"Zoom!" A streak of light—Landyn Torres finally arrived. His cold gaze flickered over the Tower of Heaven, before locking onto Tyler Nash.
Tyler Nash halted abruptly, standing no further than a hundred meters from the tower, narrowing his eyes toward Landyn Torres.
His makeup—a ghastly mess under the situation—looked foul. As he glanced toward Landyn, he even shamelessly threw him a flirtatious wink.
"Oh, darling, it’s been ages since we’ve last met!" he said in a syrupy tone.
"What are you up to?" Landyn Torres asked coldly.
"Up to what?" Tyler Nash paused. "Nothing much, just telling Yusuf Zuck that his woman got ravaged by some enormous Celestial Beast. I figured I’d let the guy know—so he’d drop dead faster. That Zuck holds a grudge for everything; even if someone so much as glances at his woman, he’ll gouge out their eyes. What a nasty piece of work."
"Not to mention, all the awful things he’s done over this woman... Now that he knows about this, he’ll kick the bucket for sure. Hate eats him alive, and oh look—he’s already shaking! The Tower’s shaking because of his anger too."
"Darling, you’re way stronger now than you were ten years ago. I wouldn’t dare be your enemy. Come on, my family name’s Nash! And look at who I’ve got here—this Celestial Prince, Colter Flynn. That damned bastard was scheming to invade the Heavenly Continent, planning some devious games with the women here!"
"I hate heartless, cruel jerks like him the most. Hate them! Turning us women into playthings..."
"But sadly, I’m not the perfect woman either. I can’t have children..."
"Aww, poor big black tiger’s about to kick the bucket, too. Blackie, don’t die on me! Come here, let me take you as my mount, alright? Your master’s on his last legs soon, just stick with your big sister!"
No shame, none at all—meanwhile, Tyler Nash extended a hand, fingers sharp like orchid blossoms. The moment they swept through the battlefield in the heavens above, the wrists quivered and sent the dozen Superior Divine Masters flying backward.
His fingers pinched mid-air, grabbing the huge black tiger instantly before pulling it down to his feet.
The tiger looked up at him gratefully, howling softly at the Tower of Heaven and then suddenly opening its massive blood-red jaws, sucking in immense force, pulling Colter Flynn directly into its mouth.
"Aie, easy there! That breath stinks dead awful..." Tyler Nash pinched his nose, though he wasn’t enraged by the tiger swallowing Flynn.
The black tiger, however, continued gnashing its teeth, chewing Flynn alive before swallowing him whole.
"Rumble, rumble—" Killing a Superior Divine Master seemed to reinvigorate the black tiger, roaring back to its feet with renewed vigor.
It spoke in human words: "Thank you for saving me. Master, Blackie is here..."
"What are you doing?" Tyler Nash asked, startled.
Landyn Torres raised his brows sharply.
And then, the black tiger made a move that shocked the entire audience. With its regained strength, it planted its paws against the ground and launched itself like a cannonball straight at the Tower of Heaven, its head aiming to smash the structure.
The tiger wanted to demolish the tower to save its master!
Of course, it was suicidal—the Tower of Heaven could not possibly be toppled. But the tiger knew this too, and yet it still slammed forward with all its might, refusing to give up. After all, if you don’t try, how would you ever know?
Tyler Nash’s face darkened with grief, a trace of sadness lingering in his expression, but he didn’t try to stop the tiger.
Landyn Torres and The Eight Great Families’ experts all drew sharp breaths. This tiger—it had such fierce loyalty!
The Tower of Heaven continued shaking as the cannonball-like tiger’s head was poised to collide.
Then, at the very last moment, as many covered their eyes, unable to watch, the Tower of Heaven suddenly stopped trembling.
"Bang—BOOM—" The tiger’s head slammed into the structure, causing an earth-shattering explosion.
No doubt about it—truly an earth-shattering explosion. Because... because... the moment its head struck the Tower of Heaven, the tower exploded—it had really broken apart!
"No, no... That’s not right... It wasn’t the tiger that broke it. Everyone, look quickly!" Suddenly, as the tower fragmented, its shards scattering into the air, all eyes were drawn to a hand—a single hand pressing against the tiger’s head, shielding it from even the slightest harm.
"Holy—holy—holy crap!" Tyler Nash let out a trio of duck-like screeches.
