Ozzy Parham’s family owned furniture factory was a medium-sized enterprise, and its total assets were probably not over one hundred million.

Yusuf Zuck did not directly agree to Ozzy’s request for investment because he had always believed that "brothers are brothers, money is money," and he did not want money issues to lead to a fallout with a brother.

Perhaps Ozzy would not cause a fuss over money, but it wasn’t Ozzy who made the decisions at home. At most, he was just a worker, and everything was determined by Ozzy’s father.

If Ozzy’s family really was in financial trouble, he could lend them money, but he did not want to enter into a partnership.

"How much did your dad borrow?" Yusuf asked Ozzy after messing around for a while.

"It should be between five and eight million, I guess. It’s challenging to get loans these days, and the interest on private loans is high, so we can only turn to banks," Ozzy replied.

"How about this, I’ll lend your dad ten million, and then when he makes money, he can pay me back. No interest. I just won’t partner with your dad in the furniture business."

"What? You’re going to lend my dad ten million?" Ozzy was shocked, as ten million was not a small sum. Private lending usually had an interest rate over 1.5%, and for such a large sum, the rate would be even higher, nearly 2%. In other words, on a loan of ten million, Yusuf could earn an interest of one hundred and fifty to two hundred thousand a month.

And now, by lending ten million to his dad, he would be losing out on at least two million per year.

How great a favor was that?

"Bro, nothing needs to be said. I thank you on behalf of the old man," Ozzy knew his dad was bothered about money affairs to the point of developing blisters in his mouth, so this loan was equivalent to him borrowing the money.

"Stop the nonsense. The money is in HSBC, and I still have to go to Garden Road to get it. I’ll only have time in a couple of days!"

"Any number of days will do, no rush, no rush."

Any man has ambitions, and Ozzy was no exception. He didn’t want to just maintain the status quo; he wanted to expand the family business. So, although ten million might not be much for a large firm, it was significant for their medium-sized factory.

After chatting in the corridor for a while, the brothers returned to the hospital room, but Felix Zuck inside was already asleep. He had just undergone surgery and was exhausted, so he was very weak.

"You don’t have any problems now, do you?" Yusuf asked softly.

"No," Ozzy nodded.

"Then stay and take care of my dad with me for a few days, until he’s a bit better, then go back to the capital," Yusuf decided not to leave anymore because he couldn’t leave Felix Zuck all alone in the hospital.

"Got it, I’ve already asked my dad for leave," Ozzy replied smiling.

Yusuf again left the room and after reaching the corridor, first called Sara to reassure her, then called Samuel Ross to do the same. He also instructed Samuel to send Bryce Harper to Garden Road to find Ember Vance and listen to her arrangements.

Samuel obviously couldn’t leave now, so it was better for Bryce Harper to take charge.

He also reassured Ember Vance. Over the phone, she was extremely nervous, as if it were her father-in-law hospitalized, showering him with concern and numerous instructions.

Last, Yusuf called Miles O’brien to let him know he had gone back to his hometown because his father was ill and would need at least seven days before he could return. He also asked her to tell Bryce Harper that once he was back, he would join him at the warehouse to gamble on stones.

Additionally, he instructed Miles to pause the renovation of the new store, and everything would wait until his return.

Miles O’Brien was also very anxious on the phone. Yusuf Zuck’s father had fallen ill and was in the hospital? Should she come over to visit?

Unfortunately, up to this point, she still didn’t know the specific city where Yusuf’s family lived. She asked Yusuf, but he did not tell her, simply saying there was no need for her to come over.

After making several calls and returning to the hospital room, Felix Zuck had already woken up, and Ozzy Parham was peeling an apple for him.

"Yusuf, if you’re busy, go back to the Capital. I’m fine; no need to look after me, and don’t let me delay your work. Sara is counting on you," Felix Zuck spoke bluntly.

"I’ve taken a long leave of absence. I’ll take you with me once you’re well!" Yusuf sat down and said.

"Heh, Ozzy, step outside for a moment, I need to talk to Yusuf," Felix Zuck chuckled. He didn’t say whether he would go or not, but it seemed like he had something to discuss with Yusuf.

After handing the peeled apple to Felix Zuck, Ozzy Parham turned and walked out of the room.

While eating the apple in small bites, Felix Zuck spoke softly, "Have you offended someone out there?"

"Huh—" Upon hearing Felix’s words, Yusuf took a deep breath. Who said he was muddleheaded? He was anything but.

Yusuf’s eyes reddened: "Dad, I’m sorry, it’s my fault that you’ve been dragged into this." Indeed, it was his fault that Felix had been dragged into this mess. If not for him, how could Felix have suffered like this?

"These people are ruthless. Be careful. If it really comes down to it, hurry to the middle-sea and find your birth father. He can settle all your troubles!" Felix Zuck sighed.

"Dad..." Yusuf began, struggling for words, "what if I told you that the Nashes are the ones who harmed you, would you believe it?"

"What?" Felix Zuck was shocked, "Impossible, absolutely impossible. No matter what you say, you are still his son. A tiger doesn’t eat its own cubs. Back then, he wanted to kill your mother because he wanted to take control of the Clan. Now that he has control, and you were born, why would he want to kill you?"

"It was his other secondary son. A few days ago, I went to the middle-sea and something happened. His secondary son got my girlfriend drunk, trying to take advantage of her, so in a moment of impulse, I broke the bastard’s legs and crushed his... bird. So, I suspect this was his doing, but don’t worry, I’ll handle it."

"Whether someone is scum or not, the law will punish him. What you did was wrong!" Felix Zuck said angrily.

"Thinking about it afterward, I was a bit impulsive, maybe because of my great resentment towards Kevin Nash. But his son really is scum!"

"Did you meet Kevin Nash?" Felix Zuck suddenly asked.

"No." Yusuf shook his head.

"Let’s leave it at that then, an eye for an eye. Don’t go after them for revenge anymore. There’s something I’ve never told you, and only your mom knows this." Felix Zuck opened his mouth and gave a bitter smile, "Actually, I’ve been impotent for a long time."

"What do you mean impotent?" Yusuf was stunned.

"Nonsense, what else does impotent mean? I was born with a disability, so having it or not makes no difference to me," Felix Zuck scolded.

"Dad, what are you talking about? Born with a disability, then where did my sister come from?" Yusuf said, caught between laughter and tears.
