Chapter 1257: Chapter 1256: Snow Mountain Celestial Beasts

A day later, when the winds ceased, Yusuf Zuck and his group of four continued on their journey, though they had no specific destination in mind; their only goal was to head north, cross over the Great Snow Mountain, find a place to settle down, and focus on cultivating.

As Yusuf Zuck’s group continued to advance, Jaxon Berger entered the mountain range, wearing his white fur cloak and the Cold Knife hanging at his waist.

In the Heavenly Realm, it seemed that Divine Knives were ubiquitous, with many people also wearing a knife at their waist.

Because the wind had blown for a whole day, the tracks of Yusuf Zuck and his group had entirely vanished, and with the inability to use Divine Sense in the snowy mountains, all one could see in the distance were endless expanses of white that were painfully glaring to the eyes.

"If those three were blown to death by the white fur storm, they’ll be buried under the snow, and finding them won’t be easy!" Jaxon Berger was unaware that one of his vice-captains had been taken in by Yusuf Zuck and subconsciously thought that the three slaves couldn’t possibly have survived under such a storm!

Thus, he began to search slowly, searching around the vicinity.

However, his search actually afforded Yusuf Zuck’s group the time to get farther away.

The four were unaware of whether Jaxon Berger was following them, but the safest route was certainly to move away and cross over the snow mountain.

Three days later, the group reached the summit of the snow mountain. However, as they stood at the peak and looked into the distance, they couldn’t help feeling a sense of despair.

Because... because there were mountains beyond mountains, each one taller than the last. Beyond the snow mountain were more mountains – countless in number.

"Boss, are you sure we should continue forward?" Alden Baxter, the Immortal Emperor, almost wanted to cry. Unable to fly, they had to rely on walking to get across these cold snowy mountains, which was too painful.

"Keep moving forward!" Yusuf Zuck simply smiled lightly. If there were mountains ahead, he would cross them. This was also a way to temper himself.

Isaac Quintana and Roman Berger, on the other hand, said nothing.

Going downhill was very fast, as the four simply sat on the summit and slid downwards, gliding all the way down.

However, a comical incident occurred mid-way; Alden Baxter hit his groin on a rock on the mountainside, wailing in pain as he rolled on the ground.

Yusuf Zuck, Isaac Quintana, and Roman Berger simply ignored him, unable to stop their descent and continuing until they reached a depression in the mountain where they finally came to a halt. At that moment, Yusuf Zuck suddenly drew out his Horse-cutting Saber, his gaze cold as he stared ahead.

"What’s going on?" Roman Berger and Isaac Quintana, seeing Yusuf Zuck so tensed up, also drew out their knives in alarm.

"I saw a white flash across the snow and disappear into it," Yusuf Zuck pointed about a hundred meters away.

"A white flash?" Isaac Quintana looked towards Roman Berger. After all, Roman Berger was a native deity, though he had never been here before, he was definitely very familiar with the Heavenly Realm.

"That’s undoubtedly a Celestial Beast," Roman Berger took a deep breath and said.

"Is it a fox? A Snow Leopard? A snow bear?" Isaac Quintana asked further.

"It was a thin white light, surely not a fox or a Snow Leopard," Yusuf Zuck shook his head.

"Snow Serpent!" Roman Berger suddenly had an epiphany: "If it’s a line-shaped white light, then it must be a Snow Serpent!"

"Didn’t you say there were only Snow Leopards, demon foxes, and polar bears in these Great Snow Mountains? How come there are Snow Serpents?" Isaac Quintana exclaimed loudly.

Roman Berger gave him a look, with a wry smile he said, "I said the three strongest Celestial Beasts were those, but within this vast expanse of snow, there are more than just three types of Celestial Beasts."

"Damn." Isaac Quintana cursed in frustration.

Yusuf Zuck was somewhat curious; snakes were cold-blooded animals and usually lived in tropical regions. It seemed impossible for them to appear in the cold of winter, yet here were Snow Serpents.

"Snow Serpents are also a type of Celestial Beast, but they aren’t too powerful, they won’t attack humans actively unless you step on them or enter their territory."

"Snakes, where are the snakes? Catch them for meat; snake meat is the most delicious!" At that moment, the man with the pained groin, Alden Baxter, had caught up, acting as if nothing was amiss.

Every man knows that aching balls will only hurt for a while, unless they’re smashed, it’s just temporary pain, and it’ll subside. Moreover, Alden Baxter was once an Immortal Emperor, so this kind of pain is nothing serious.

"You guys remember, do not initiate attacks on Celestial Beasts." Yusuf Zuck spoke gravely: "We are outsiders here, and we’re not a match for those powerful Celestial Beasts. So for the weaker ones, we won’t bully or kill them, and for the stronger ones, we won’t provoke them either. We’ll try our best to avoid them."

"Oh, oh, oh~" The three nodded, signaling they understood. Indeed, what Yusuf Zuck said was true, being outsiders who have ventured into the domain of the Celestial Beasts, it was best not to stir up trouble, lest they invite disaster upon themselves.

The group of four bypassed the Snow Serpent’s territory they encountered earlier and continued to traverse across the mountains.

When they climbed to the middle of the mountain once again, they heard a sharp cry from the high skies.

Looking up, they saw a white eagle with black-edged wings circling in the sky.

"What a huge Snow Eagle!" Alden Baxter exclaimed quietly: "It must be at least thirty feet in length!"

"Everyone, be careful, we could very likely become the Snow Eagle’s prey!" Roman Berger warned.

"I used to have a brother who loved playing with eagles; he even had a very impressive Golden Eagle." Yusuf Zuck suddenly remembered Isaac Quintana, and wondered how they were faring back on Earth.

As the group moved on, they kept an eye on the Snow Eagle in the sky, constantly on guard, because if the Snow Eagle dived down, its huge talons could instantly snatch all four of them away.

Fortunately, the Snow Eagle hadn’t attacked them even as they crossed the second great mountain, and eventually, it flew away into the distance.

"All Celestial Beasts have a certain amount of intelligence; they are all spiritually aware." Roman Berger said: "Even though they cannot take human form, the high-level ones can even speak the human language and communicate with people."

"However, the majority of the Celestial Beasts see us divine beings as natural enemies, as many people like to hunt them for meat, medicine, clothing, or even to tame them as pets. And what’s more despicable is that some people go against humanity and mate with Celestial Beasts!"

Upon hearing Roman Berger’s words, Yusuf Zuck shivered, thinking that he himself had also slept with a demon before.

"Aren’t Celestial Beasts unable to take form? How does one mate with them then?" Alden Baxter asked, puzzled.

"Yeah, it’s precisely because they can’t take form that some people... you know!" Roman Berger winked.

"Holy crap, that’s evil, that’s beastly! Even if they haven’t assumed human form, yet, I have had dual cultivation with a few Demon Cultivators back in the Immortal Realm... The Demon Cultivators when transformed into humans were truly beautiful."

"Boss, have you ever slept with a demon?"

"Fuck my life, let’s hurry up and move!" Yusuf Zuck cursed angrily and also glared at Alden Baxter.

"My sister has been long married off, but if you fancy becoming my brother-in-law, when she ascends someday, I’ll let you two tie the knot!"

"It looks like we’re in trouble," Yusuf Zuck didn’t continue bantering with Alden Baxter, but suddenly stopped and gazed towards the top of another tall mountain.

The three followed Yusuf Zuck’s gaze towards the mountain peak, but after staring for a long time, they didn’t see any sign of trouble!

"There’s nothing there, nothing but snow white!"

"I didn’t see anything either?"

"The white glare is too blinding, and the distance is so far, we can’t see anything!"

All three shook their heads; they hadn’t seen anything.

Yusuf Zuck took a deep breath. He couldn’t see the danger with his naked eyes either because in these snow mountains, one’s eyes could only see so far. However, when he opened his third eye, the Eye of Heaven, he could see even beneath the snow, and even view things beyond dozens of mountain peaks. His third eye saw through everything!

On the opposing mountaintop, there was a wolf, a snow-white Snow Leopard, its gaze coldly fixed on them!

If not for his Eye of Heaven, Yusuf Zuck would never have spotted that Snow Leopard blending seamlessly into the snowy mountain!
