Chapter 119: Chapter 119: The Fight Begins【Twelve Updates】
"Slap—Slap—" When Wumao was propped up by two men in suits, another man in a suit delivered a hard slap on each side of his face, causing Wumao to ’puff’ out a mouthful of blood. The man slapping had a strong arm; after two slaps, not only were Wumao’s eyes seeing stars, but his teeth were also loosened, filling his mouth with blood.
"I’ll ask again, where is he? Where does he live?" Bud Trujillo asked from the car, taking a drag on his cigarette.
"I don’t... don’t... don’t know, you... you... motherfucker, if you have the guts, smack me to death." Wumao was a man with balls, so he would rather die than bend.
Although he was just a small fry who came to the city from the countryside to work and had nothing, he had a stubborn streak, and this wasn’t something that could be beaten out of him.
Bud Trujillo flicked his cigarette ash: "Hit him again..."
"Slap—Slap—" Again, two more heavy slaps, and this time, Wumao spat out three teeth.
"Where does he live? Where?" Bud Trujillo continued the previous line of questioning.
"I don’t know." Perhaps because his teeth were knocked out, Wumao managed to say these words without stuttering.
"Hit him again..." Bud Trujillo continued coldly.
"Stop." Suddenly, just as the man in the suit was about to continue hitting Wumao, a group of about a dozen uniformed security guards burst through the revolving door, led by Qiu Wu.
Qiu Wu was also with Samuel Ross. After Ross left, he recommended Qiu Wu, so now the head of security was him.
He led the security guards out, each holding a baton, and surrounded the three cars.
Bud Trujillo smirked maliciously, seeing only a bunch of country bumpkins who were security guards; they were trash in his eyes, not even worthy of shining his shoes.
"Okay, I’ll stop hitting him. Now, I ask you, do you know where Yusuf Zuck is? Where does he live?" Bud Trujillo asked Qiu Wu with a smile.
Qiu Wu did not answer Bud Trujillo but instead asked Wumao, "What’s going on?"
"This... this... this guy was asking about Yusuf Zuck, I said I didn’t know, and he told someone to smack my face." When Wumao spoke, there was still blood foam in his mouth, and he was lisping.
"Yusuf Zuck has resigned. We really don’t know where he went, nor where he lives. However, you’re in the wrong for hitting people. We live in a society governed by law, and this is the Emperor’s capital. For doing this, you owe my brother here five thousand yuan. Let’s call it even with today’s incident!" Qiu Wu gripped the baton tightly; he was furious. Now that he was the head of Security, if he didn’t stand up for his subordinate who got hit, who would respect him in the future?
"Motherfucker, do you think I’ll pay him five thousand yuan? You must have made a mistake. Damn it." Bud Trujillo was amused to anger by these country bumpkins. A bunch of rural security guards trying to extort money from him was laughable; they clearly had no idea who Bud Trujillo was.
"No money?" Qiu Wu’s eyebrows raised, and he clenched his teeth: "Hit him, beat him to a pulp!"
"Fuck your mother!" The security guards weren’t the kind to take a loss. They eked out a living in the capital, and although they were poor, they stuck together because that was the only way to avoid being bullied.
At Qiu Wu’s command, more than a dozen security guards swung their batons and savagely beat the men in black, with Qiu Wu and Floyd Hart rushing at Bud Trujillo!
At this moment, Bud Trujillo was shocked; these little security guards dared to stand up to him? This truly was a case of the sun rising in the west!
"Fight, beat them to death!" Once he recovered, Bud Trujillo was both furious and anxious. He had just been beaten by someone named Yusuf Zuck, and now these ignorant security guards wanted to hit him. If he didn’t beat these guards today, he wouldn’t be able to hang around in the capital anymore.
A few more men in suits jumped out of the car, charging at Qiu Wu and Floyd Hart. At the same time, the men in suits pulled out baseball bats from the cars and joined the fray against the security guards.
Some passersby called the police, and the cashier at the service desk also reported the incident to the authorities as soon as they became aware of the situation.
Soon, the security guards were injured; the baseball bats were brutally ruthless, striking arms or legs and, at the least, causing numbness, or at worst, breaking bones outright.
Of course, a few of the suited men also got hurt. The security guards were trained fighters and outnumbered their opponents, so several of the suited men were beaten badly, their heads bloodied and split open.
Bud Trujillo was smart. When he felt it was about right, he immediately shouted, "Scatter, let’s go."
"Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh~" The suited men quickly retreated, jumping into their vehicles as they moved.
"Motherfuckers, these bumpkins. Next time we’ll bring more people and wrap them all up in dumplings at once." Bud Trujillo cursed nonstop in the car. Actually, he had only come to Fengdu to find Yusuf Zuck; he had not intended to get into a gang fight. If a gang fight had been his intention, he certainly wouldn’t have brought merely seven or eight guys.
"Our guys aren’t badly hurt, right?" After finishing his rant, Bud Trujillo asked.
"Not bad, no broken bones, just superficial wounds. We didn’t suffer much, those little shits took the hits, several of them got bones broken."
"Mmm, that’s good. Later you all find a place to bandage up and then disperse. Don’t show your faces for the next few days, goddamn bad luck," Bud Trujillo cursed and said.
"Yes, boss." These suited men were also security guards, plucked from nightclubs and clubs that he operated. Of course, those he selected were trusted and had earned his approval. After the fight, they would all return to their respective positions.
The upper echelons of Fengdu were disturbed, and the police were deployed. It took about six or seven minutes for the officers from the nearby police station to arrive, and an ambulance showed up as well, taking away those who were injured for treatment. Those who weren’t injured were interviewed, and the police opened a case.
When queried, Wu intentionally told the full truth, claiming that some people, probably from the underworld, had come looking for someone—a security guard named Yusuf Zuck who had been fired. When they claimed ignorance, the men began to assault them.
The staff at the police station reviewed nearby surveillance footage and took statements, finally asking them to wait for further notice and assuring them that they would solve the case quickly and capture those thugs.
Indeed, in the eyes of the police, the security guards were the victims. After all, this was Fengdu, and someone came here to assault people. Hence, it wasn’t the security guards’ fault. Moreover, Fengdu was a foreign-invested enterprise, so they had to take it seriously.
Around two in the morning, just as Yusuf Zuck had fallen asleep, his phone suddenly rang. It was Samuel Ross calling.
"Yusuf Zuck, there’s been trouble in the security department," Samuel Ross said soberly on the phone. "Two hours ago, two cars showed up looking for you, asking for you. At that time, they beat up Mole, even knocked out his teeth. Later, Wu and some others got into a scuffle with these individuals, and five of our colleagues got seriously injured, suffering broken arms or ribs. They’re now in Jishuitan Hospital."
"What?" Hearing Samuel Ross’s words, Yusuf Zuck shot up in bed, instantly wide awake.
Samuel Ross continued, "Judging by Wu’s description, I don’t think these guys were from Brother Dao’s crew."
"Son of a bitch." Yusuf Zuck’s gaze turned extremely cold. These men were probably Bud Trujillo’s bunch, but they might also be Brother Dao’s people.
"Be careful lately; someone is searching for you everywhere," Samuel Ross cautioned him.
"Got it. I won’t go to the hospital. You visit them for me. Comfort the injured colleagues with twenty thousand each, and the others with five thousand. Front the money for now, I’ll pay you back later." Yusuf Zuck was known for his loyalty because, one way or the other, this was all stemming from him. Without him, his colleagues from the security department wouldn’t have suffered this undeserved disaster. So, he felt it was right to make a gesture, and he was also checking to see if the company would take any action.
If the company wouldn’t cover the medical costs, he would bear the expense himself.
After hanging up with Samuel Ross, Yusuf Zuck started getting dressed. He was going to find Bud Trujillo, to find Brother Dao.
