Chapter 1188: Chapter 1187: The Stone Giant that Instantly Kills Everything

Watching a top-tier Demon Emperor die from a tiny scorpion’s poison, everyone became cautious. Previously, they hadn’t cared much about birds or insects, but now, it seemed they had to avoid them.

Moreover, the solemn bald thief should have known about the danger here, yet he hadn’t said anything, so many Demon Emperors from the Demon World glared at him fiercely.

Tyler Nash left, Paisley Kirk left, Mia left, and so did the Emperor of the Skies, Zyair Petty, Thunder Emperor, Five-clawed Golden Dragon Emperor, the Demon Clan’s Holy Woman, and so on; everyone split up and embarked on their own paths.

The land here was vast and even a small scorpion possessed such poison, indicating that despite the dangers, the area must also be filled with countless treasures.

...

At the same time, Yusuf Zuck, with his clone and Porter Burch, entered the second level of the Main God Palace.

This second level was not filled with birdsong and flowers with blue skies over the Jade Sea, but a deep stone corridor, flanked by stone walls, with a stone ceiling, approximately seven or eight meters wide and almost twenty meters high.

This was a giant corridor, a corridor leading to an unknown destination.

Yusuf Zuck knocked on the stone walls on either side and discovered that the stones in the walls had slight energy fluctuations, which also protected the walls, making it impossible to break through by brute force.

"Stay close to me," Yusuf Zuck signaled Porter Burch as his clone swiftly darted forward.

Having a clone allowed him to detect danger and even enter deadly places worry-free, thus his clone was highly useful.

He and Porter Burch, feeling somewhat relieved, followed closely behind the clone while also walking quickly.

This stone corridor was long and winding, much like a maze.

Indeed, this Stone Man Array was a Maze Formation; only those who made it through the maze could enter the third level.

After his clone had been walking ahead for over ten minutes, it reached a three-way junction, leading in three different directions.

"Go right." Without hesitation, the clone darted into the passage on the right because, whether it was a path to safety or peril, the clone had no fear.

Meanwhile, Yusuf Zuck and Porter Burch stopped at the junction, waiting for information from the clone.

Half an hour later, the clone suddenly stopped because there was a door in front of it, and standing in front of that door was a stone figure over ten meters tall.

This stone figure stood silently in front of the door, like the statues of terracotta warriors, without breath or heartbeat, merely a sculpture.

However, Yusuf Zuck knew it was not a sculpture; it was a living Stone Giant, as the Bird Man had told him that the Stone Giants lacked brains!

Beyond that door might be the passage of the maze, so Yusuf Zuck did not want to miss it and thus began to move forward cautiously.

"Buzz—" All of a sudden, just as he had taken a few small steps, the entire stone corridor shook, and he saw the Stone Giant suddenly open its eyes!

"Go, go, go!" Yusuf Zuck tried to sneak past before the Stone Giant could react.

However, his wish was thwarted because, as he dashed forward, the Stone Giant suddenly swung its fist, aiming right at his head!

Yusuf Zuck was shocked; how could this Stone Man punch so quickly? It seemed to compress space, and in less than a thousandth of a second, the fist was already upon him, and he realized there was nowhere to hide!

"I’ll fight." Yusuf Zuck gritted his teeth and forcefully swung up his arms!

"Boom—"

"Crack, crack, crack—" In a clash, he was sent flying, then suffered a crushing fracture in both arms, flipping seven or eight times in the air before hitting the ground!

Meanwhile, he stared in horror, understanding that although this was his clone, it had the same strength as his true body, yet it wasn’t even a match for one move from this Stone Giant?

"Oh no, his speed is so fast!" Just when Yusuf Zuck was shocked, a stone foot stomped down, its speed so blindingly quick that he didn’t even have a chance to react.

Yusuf Zuck wanted to cry without tears. What kind of damned place was this?

In fact, this was the Main God Palace, and how could there possibly be any weaklings or trash in the Main God Palace?

Nadia Berger had once said, even if a Divine King from the Heavenly Realm entered, there would be restrictions. In other words, even a Divine King might not be able to defeat this Stone Giant, otherwise, if someone killed the Stone Giant, there wouldn’t be any remaining here.

That meant the Stone Giants here were invincible!

Yusuf Zuck’s mind raced, and as he watched his surroundings go dark, and as the giant foot descended, he shouted urgently, "Time halt!"

"Whoosh—" The stone foot stopped just inches from his nose. In that instant, he rolled over, leaped up swiftly, stepped onto the giant’s shoulder, then with a bound, rushed through the stone door.

"Boom—" A sound that shook the sky and earth came from outside; it was the noise of the Stone Giant’s foot hitting the ground. This Stone Giant could even break through his time halt!

However, Yusuf Zuck was successful, for he had entered through the door.

But... just when he entered, the scene inside left him stupefied because it was a dead end, a room with just one door, surrounded by stone walls everywhere else without even a table in sight.

Completely empty!

"Damn!" He cursed loudly, realizing this was a dead end of the maze, deliberately created by the designer of the maze, so he turned around and left!

"Swish—" As he took a step forward, a gust of wind also fanned toward his head. Yusuf Zuck didn’t dare to fight back, knowing he couldn’t win; the opponent was stone, and there were energy fluctuations on it, obviously, it was something extraordinary, perhaps even a Divine Artifact might not be able to destroy the stone body of the Stone Man!

"Time halt!" he shouted again, repeating the old trick.

However, this time his time halt failed.

Indeed, this Stone Giant was too strange; it could be halted the first time, but not the second!

Yusuf Zuck was scared out of his wits because the Stone Giant’s palm was already coming down.

"Boom—" Without any surprise, his clone was shattered, instantly killed!

This was the supreme Stone Giant, annihilating everything in sight.

"Sigh—" Just as the clone was shattered, Yusuf Zuck’s real self at the fork in the road couldn’t help but turn pale with fright.

What kind of cursed place was this, where Stone Men were so powerful?

"Master, how it did go?" Piel asked.

"Dead, but the path on the right is a dead end," Yusuf Zuck said with a grim look. "I’ll try the other two paths." Immediately, he created another clone, dressed it, and sent it down the left path.

Shortly after, the clone returned and then entered the middle path.

All three paths were exactly the same; at the end of each path was a door, and in front of each door stood a Stone Giant!

That meant two paths were false, with only one being the real path.

He didn’t let the clone continue the venture because even if the clone found the real path, taking Piel with him might still be too risky.

So the urgent task was to find a way to defeat the Stone Giant, at least discover its weakness, otherwise they couldn’t proceed. After all, this was just the first junction on the second level of the Stone Man Array, and who knew how many junctions were inside!

He must find a way to handle this; blind marching forward was not an option.
