Chapter 1170 - 1169: The Arrival of Hugh Zuck

Chapter 1170: Chapter 1169: The Arrival of Hugh Zuck

Seven days later, the magma and flames from the eruption of Fuji Volcano had completely enveloped Japan. In the beginning, the public and local officials attempted to extinguish the fires. However, they soon discovered that the flames could not be put out with water or buried with soil, and they could even burn on the surface of water. Moreover, the spread of the fire was incredibly rapid.

The fire burned fiercely for seven days and seven nights, and after that period, there was no longer any life left on the Japanese islands. Even the buildings had turned to charred rubble. Viewed from satellite imagery, the area was just a pitch-black expanse!

As for the death toll? It was impossible to count. Although many people had fled their homes, they encountered tsunamis at sea and lightning storms in the air, among other calamities. Therefore, this extinction-level disaster sent shivers down the spines of people all around the world.

Of course, some believed it was the doing of the primitive man, Yusuf Zuck, but others refuted that even if Yusuf Zuck was a god, could he control the raging inferno, the tsunamis, or the lightning?

Therefore, it was deemed that the people of Japanese descent had incurred the wrath of the heavens; it was Heavenly Dao punishing them.

Seven days later, Devin King, along with Luciano, Alfredo Meskill, and others, took complete control of the military. Devin King had been a soldier and then had recruited some capable fanatics from underground organizations. The military was unconditionally assimilated by him. Following that, Devin King took control of the media and preached daily about restoration, about China, about a single party ruling and leading the world!

After half a month of preparation, propaganda, and military conquest, the new state was established. He also revived governance methods from thousands of years past, establishing a People’s Congress and a Political Consultative Conference.

The delegates of the People’s Congress, needless to say, were all fervent restorationists, while the members of the Political Consultative Conference were, absurdly, all Earth Immortals, ranging from level one to twelve.

Yusuf Zuck washed his hands of the matter and let Devin King and his cohort do as they pleased—it was none of his business.

However, he did hear that Luciano, Dream Morrow, Alfredo Meskill, and others were having a blast. They were members of the inaugural security guard force of the new China, traveling the world to eliminate those who opposed them.

By the way, Rafael Case also joined in, and this bastard appeared on TV several times, openly challenging anyone who dared to oppose them. "Stand up if you don’t comply, and I will exterminate your race. Don’t believe me? Just try!"

Thus, a temporary peace emerged under the oppression of violence.

Everyone knew it was incredibly difficult to change a mindset that had been entrenched for thousands of years. Despite the establishment of the new nation and the appearance of tranquility, there was, beneath the surface, a roiling undercurrent that might erupt into a large-scale uprising at any moment.

Ruth Wilcox had decided not to leave. She wanted her child to be born on Earth, in her homeland, so she moved into Pier Manor. Pier also brought in the best medical team, which was on call 24 hours a day, in preparation for the arrival of the new life.

After a brief appearance, Yusuf Zuck had completely vanished from the public eye. He took no part in the establishment of the nation and spent his days accompanied by the women of the manor, awaiting the birth of the new life.

In fact... he too wished for his first child to be born in his hometown, in his world, and so he also had no plans to leave.

...

Two months later, the atmosphere within Pier Manor was exceedingly tense. Many "Angels" in white robes were bustling in and out, busying themselves with their duties, while outside the manor, Yusuf Zuck paced incessantly. Luciano, Dream Morrow, Alfredo Meskill, and others, who were usually out assassinating, had also taken a day off to gather outside the villa.

Even Devin King, who managed countless affairs, had come.

Inside the palatial villa, Lily Case, Louise Garrett, and others were also anxiously waiting.

"Boss... Boss... What are you nervous about? The current issue is, you need to choose a name for the child!" In an attempt to distract Yusuf Zuck from his nervousness, Miles O’Brien approached him with a teasing smile.

"Right, you’ve got to pick a name!"

"It’s a boy, right? How about we give you some suggestions?" Devin King chimed in, joining the fun.

"Get lost, all of you! Your ’suggestions’ are worthless. A bunch of rough men reeking of blood—stay as far away as you can, don’t scare my child!" Yusuf Zuck rebuked them without mincing words.

"Pfft, who’s bloody? Who are you calling bloody?" Everyone rolled their eyes. When it came to being bloody, Yusuf Zuck, the old demon, was the ultimate executioner. Others might not know about the earthquakes and volcanic eruptions at Fuji Volcano, the lightning in the sky, or the tsunamis at sea, but they knew all too well. Yusuf Zuck almost exterminated the Japanese race, and that was truly bloody.

"I’m bloody, okay? I’m bloody—happy now?" Yusuf Zuck admitted with an awkward laugh. "I’ve already thought of a name."

"What’s the name?" Everyone knew that Ruth Wilcox’s child was a boy, no ultrasound needed.

Yusuf Zuck grinned proudly, "The name’s Hugh Zuck!"

"I puff–"

"Why don’t you call him Big Bird?"

"Big Chicken would work too!"

"And you say we’re the crude ones? You’re cruder than all of us!"

Everyone gave him a contemptuous look.

"Isn’t Hugh a nice name?" Yusuf touched his nose and said.

"If you dare to name him that, do you believe Ms. Wilcox will scratch you to death?"

"That’s true, she definitely wouldn’t agree!" Yusuf chuckled, everyone knew he was afraid of Ruth Wilcox.

"How about... how about... how about we call him Mouth?" Luciano suddenly had a stroke of inspiration.

"I’ll kick you to death." Yusuf knocked Luciano down with a kick, and the others piled on again, trying to get the better of him.

"Call him... call him... call him Dilan... Judson... Julian... Jackie..." Luciano, while being kicked by everyone, didn’t stop talking, and a stream of names burst from his mouth.

"Stop messing around, stop messing around, she’s given birth, she’s given birth..." Right then, Sara rushed out excitedly, "Brother, your wife has given birth, son, eight and a half pounds, his eyes started sparkling as soon as he was born!"

"Swoosh–" Yusuf dashed into the delivery room.

Inside the delivery room, inside a constant temperature sterile transparent glass chamber, a newborn with big, bright eyes, kicking and flailing wildly, was looking around with wide, curious eyes.

When Yusuf looked down, the wrinkled little baby suddenly stopped, and then looked at him curiously.

The child’s eyes indeed held a light, a spirit, especially lively, Yusuf even detected a hint of Chaotic Power on him!

"Goo goo goo–" Suddenly, the child started waggling his hands and feet while giggling.

"Ha ha ha–" Yusuf burst into hearty laughter, filled with unparalleled joy, at last he had his first son in life!

"Ruth, thank you!" Yusuf took Ruth Wilcox’s hand and said.

"Let’s name the child, whatever you pick is fine!" Ruth, though tired, was still a cultivator and so at this moment, she was the happiest.

"Really, I should name him? I’m not cultured? Didn’t finish high school, why don’t you do it?" Yusuf felt embarrassed, Ruth had studied abroad, her life experiences were exceptional, so surely the name she picked would be nice!

"I’m not the head of the family, and the child doesn’t carry the Wilcox name, so why should I name him? You go ahead, names like Cat or Dog are fine!" Ruth said with a mischievous smile.

"What Cat or Dog, alright then, I’ve decided, two names, one is Hugh, and the other is Calum!"

"Pfft–" Everyone in the room nearly fell over, what kind of names were these, Big Bull and Big Master? Could they say to the child in the future, "Come here, Master, have some candy?"

Ruth was covered in a forehead of black lines; she suddenly realized that letting Yusuf pick the name might have been a mistake?

"Calum doesn’t sound that nice; let’s go with Hugh. My son’s going to be extraordinary, it’s settled!" Yusuf decided firmly.

...

Meanwhile, as the room erupted in laughter and merriment, in the far reaches of the void, several streaks of light crossed, heading straight for Earth!
