"Hold on a sec," Yusuf Zuck interrupted, "The Nether World has three layers? Isn’t there supposed to be eighteen levels of Hell?"

"Eighteen levels? Who said that? Has The Nether World been redeveloped?" Fatty asked, puzzled.

Yusuf Zuck had a face full of disbelief, redevelopment, my foot. Real estate now?

"So why are there three layers now?" Yusuf Zuck pressed on.

"They have always been three layers. The eighteen levels you mentioned are from the Buddhist texts, right? That’s all deceptive. However, there are indeed eighteen levels of punitive prisons, where you are punished based on the sins committed in the Mortal Realm. The suffering intensifies the further down you go, and as souls are extremely sensitive, the pain they endure is unbearably excruciating. The last level of punitive prison has a sentence that reaches ’gai’!"

"What’s ’gai’?" Yusuf Zuck asked, still confused.

"You don’t know?" Fatty said exasperatedly, "It’s a conversion rate. I know many levels in your Mortal Realm use numbers for conversion. Mr. Li and I have discussed this before."

"You have units like one, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand, a million, ten million, and a hundred million, don’t you?"

"It’s the same for these punitive prisons. After a billion comes ten billion, hundred billion, thousand billion, and trillions. Once you reach trillion years, it upgrades to ’zhao,’ then onto ten, hundred, thousand, million ’zhao,’ and then the numbers beyond that are ’jing’, and beyond ’jing’ comes ’gai’!"
