"Where is my Superior Immortal Spirit Stone?" Within Miss Fatty’s boudoir, all the maids and servants had left, leaving only Miss Fatty and Yusuf Zuck alone.

Yusuf Zuck got straight to the point. He had completed his task successfully, after all. The Chief Steward of the Shepherd Family had been rescued, and those Shepherds who had caused the trouble were all dead. Even the dozen or so Nascent Souls he had collected earlier had been burned to ash by him. Thus, the crisis facing the Shepherd Family was over.

"My husband, Gareth misspoke," Miss Fatty predictably began to renege. How could she possibly hand over the Superior Immortal Spirit Stone to Yusuf Zuck?

"Gareth only has one, which I had planned to ask my father for after this matter was settled, but who could have known that my father would die in the City Lord’s Mansion, and to keep me safe, had given his ring to the City Lord."

"Wait a minute..." Fatty was saying this when Yusuf Zuck suddenly stood up because, in that instant, he understood why Miss Fatty hadn’t pursued him, hadn’t divorced him, hadn’t screamed and shouted at him.

Yusuf Zuck felt slightly nauseous. This... sharing a bed? Could she not be so frightening?

"Gareth Cooke, this is pointless, isn’t it? Didn’t we agree before? After the matter was over, you would go your separate way, and I’d go mine. I just want the Superior Immortal Spirit Stones, and now I’ve helped you to kill your whole family, even though your father’s death was an accident. I didn’t know anything about it. Who knew your family had so many twists and turns?"

"Fine, I’m leaving. If you don’t divorce me, I’ll never return to this family again. We’ll each go our own way, becoming strangers from this point on!" With his goal achieved, Yusuf Zuck didn’t care about the whole divorce matter, because they hadn’t truly married in the first place. Shepherd Family just decided it so? There was no registration, was there? Surely, the Heavenly Origin City didn’t have a marriage registration office?

"As long as you’re in Heavenly Origin City for one day, as long as there’s no divorce letter on you, everyone in the city will think you are my husband. So, you can’t escape unless you leave Heavenly Origin City." Miss Fatty suddenly said, "Also, I don’t know how you came to know the City Lord, but I know him best: He is heartless and ungrateful. Yusuf Zuck stopped, not because of the negotiating with a tiger part, but because of that line about not having a divorce letter would make the people of Heavenly Origin City think he was Fatty’s husband.

This was troublesome; he had to stay in Heavenly Origin City for a while, right? At least a year or two?

"I heard you’re attending a banquet tonight? A private banquet just for you? Gathering the city’s nobility to introduce them to you? I’m well aware of what kind of person Brigham Shepherd is. "What do you need my help with?" Yusuf Zuck narrowed his eyes and asked.
