Chapter 1030: Chapter 1029: Golden Scale Armor
Yusuf Zuck, having calmed his mind, soon entered a state of utmost focus, in which he thought of nothing else but ceaselessly copying texts on the water’s surface, constantly striving for greater speed. For only by surpassing the limits of speed could he achieve the feat of making characters fall upon the water without dispersing.
While he devoted himself to training, Aiden Wilkinson stood motionless in the courtyard, seemingly silently accompanying him.
Yet between the two, there was no interaction, not a word was exchanged.
In this manner, after seven days had passed, Aiden Wilkinson finally took the initiative to interrupt Yusuf, summoning him into the courtyard and said indifferently, "You need to balance work and rest. Cultivation is endless, and so you must relax your mind appropriately, allowing yourself to ponder other matters. Wait here for me." With that said, Aiden Wilkinson pressed lightly with the tip of her foot, then in an instant, leaped into the lake and vanished in a flash.
Yusuf, surprised, glanced at the lake. When he probed with his Divine Sense, he found powerful energy fluctuations at the bottom of the lake, beyond his ability to detect.
An hour passed, and Aiden Wilkinson did not return.
Two hours passed, and she still had not returned.
It wasn’t until six hours had passed that she finally emerged from the lake surface.
"Splash—" Her hair and entire body were soaked, and there was frost in her hair; her face was also deathly pale. Because she wore a white dress, which had become see-through upon getting wet, Yusuf could clearly see the sculpted curves of her body, even some contours and protruding points were unmistakably visible.
As she emerged, a smile seemed to be on her face, as if she was excited, but when she saw Yusuf staring directly at her chest, she couldn’t help but shiver, nearly fainting right there on the water’s surface.
"Turn around, or your eyes will suffer!" she quickly barked.
"Ah, ah, alright, alright!" Yusuf too was startled, and so he immediately turned around!
Behind Yusuf’s back, Aiden Wilkinson glared furiously at him several times, her cheeks also blushed like apples, and her heart pounded chaotically.
She had taught many students before, but Zayden Newton made her feel entirely different. She found herself nervous around him, even filled with distracting thoughts. It seemed as if he had plucked a chord deep within her heart without her realizing when it happened.
She bit her lip lightly, a total mess inside. Of course, she didn’t forget to quickly dry her wet clothes and swiftly take an Elixir to counteract the damage from the freezing water.
"Take this, drink it, then go practice your writing!" A moment later, having regained her color and her clothes now dry, she spoke with a stern voice, maintaining her teacher’s image, pretending to be cold as ice, reverting back to her formidable self, but she handed over a porcelain bottle nonetheless.
"Yes, Teacher, thank you!" Yusuf did not even ask about it, immediately drinking the contents of the bottle.
The liquid was like an amber fluid but not wine, more like the sweet scent of drone royal spoon. As it went down his throat, he felt his entire body burning up instantaneously, incredibly hot. However, as the liquid entered his stomach, he couldn’t help but hum softly, a pleasant sensation.
Also, he found his soul had grown much stronger, every cell in his body seemed nourished, giving him a feeling of boundless vitality and endless strength.
"Hmm..." Engrossed in savoring and comfortably enjoying this sensation, suddenly he felt a bit of itchiness on one of his arms. When he instinctively scratched it, he was shocked to find that there was a hard crust on his arm, like scales.
On closer inspection, his scalp tingled instantly—it was scales, golden scales. He had actually grown scales on his body!
"Teacher, what did you give me to drink..." Yusuf’s voice trembled.
"Why so many questions? It will disappear soon, go practice your writing!" Aiden Wilkinson said, a teasing smile in her scolding voice.
"Oh, it will be gone soon? Then I’ll go practice writing!" He knew this was Aiden Wilkinson’s kindness; whatever she gave him couldn’t be simple, so if Aiden Wilkinson wished not to explain, he wouldn’t ask further.
Between them, there had already developed a very mysterious connection.
When Yusuf Zuck leaped onto the water’s surface, the golden scales on his arm indeed disappeared without a trace, not even Telekinesis could detect any clues, as if they had never appeared at all.
He continued to practice his calligraphy, wanting to think of nothing else.
Thus, after another seven days passed, Aiden Wilkinson called him back to the small courtyard and told him that he could wander nearby, find something to eat, relax his mind and spirit during the few hours she would spend in the lake, but he was forbidden from entering her room—if he dared, she would gouge out his eyes!
She even mimicked a threatening gesture to frighten him!
"Teacher, isn’t it very cold below? Maybe you shouldn’t go down. I don’t want to turn into a fish!" Yusuf Zuck said with a gloomy face, knowing Aiden Wilkinson must be going to get that liquid for him again, then make him grow scales!
"Shut up. Are you the teacher or am I?" Aiden Wilkinson glared at him before leaping back into the lake again!
Yusuf Zuck really wanted to follow her, but he thought better of it and refrained.
This time, she stayed submerged longer, not surfacing until after more than seven hours, her hair and face covered with white frost, visibly shivering from the cold, and her wet clothes still semi-transparent!
Yusuf Zuck no longer harbored any inappropriate thoughts; as soon as she emerged, he immediately turned around and called out loudly, "Teacher, this is for you!" He casually threw a cloak towards her, made of pure fur and adorned with a collar.
"Drink this." Without saying anything else, Aiden Wilkinson walked up behind him and forcefully stuffed a porcelain bottle into his hand.
Yusuf Zuck hesitated this time, not because he was afraid of growing scales, but rather he found it difficult to drink. That liquid was obtained by Aiden Wilkinson through much hardship, he didn’t know what had happened down there, and he knew nothing about it, so he couldn’t bear to drink it!
"Teacher..."
"Shut up!" Before Yusuf Zuck could finish, she commanded, "Since you call me teacher, then don’t ask anything. Drink it down and go practice your calligraphy!"
"Thank you, teacher. I will drink it!" Yusuf Zuck took a deep breath and drank all the liquid again, and this time, it seemed there was even more!
"Huuh~" Just like last time, after drinking, his entire body felt comfortable, and his arm began to itch again, and this time, most of his arm itched. He rolled up his sleeve for a look, and saw that half of his arm was covered with shiny golden scales.
Yusuf Zuck wanted to understand what these scales were all about, so he immediately used Telekinesis to probe them!
However, the moment he probed with Telekinesis, a strong light reflected back into the depths of his mind, striking directly at his soul.
"Puh~" Yusuf Zuck felt sweetness in his throat and nearly vomited blood, the intense pain making his whole body tremble!
"Serves you right, now go practice your calligraphy!" Aiden Wilkinson showed not a trace of pity on the surface, even glaring at him, but her heart ached unbearably.
Yusuf Zuck silently returned to the water’s surface to continue practicing his calligraphy!
In this manner, day after day, every seven days, a year and a half passed, and Yusuf Zuck’s entire body became completely covered with scales, which, of course, were also hidden inside his body, invisible to the naked eye and Telekinesis.
Aiden Wilkinson had grown thin, her entire frame noticeably more slender, and she appeared utterly exhausted. Only after Yusuf Zuck’s body was completely covered with scales did she finally sit down in a chair in the courtyard, looking at him blankly for a moment before slowly saying, "These scales are also known as Golden Scale Armor, capable of defending against attacks from Magic Treasures and Divine Sense Attacks, and these scales will also grow stronger with the increase of your Cultivation Level. With this Golden Scale Armor, at least at present, no Ultimate Immortal of the Ninth Grade can harm you. When your Cultivation Level reaches the Ninth Grade of Great Luo, not even a Profound Immortal can necessarily break your body or harm your soul, and since this armor has integrated into your flesh and blood, becoming one with you, it will automatically appear should your body incur any damage."
"I’m very tired now, you may leave."
