Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Buying a Car

A white convertible BMW MINI and a roadster were snapped up by Yusuf Zuck for a premium before 4 p.m.

That’s right, to buy an in-stock vehicle, a premium is necessary, or else one might wait from a few weeks to several months.

Yusuf Zuck couldn’t wait any longer. Call him a spendthrift, or say he completely looks the nouveau riche, he paid by card—over two million for two cars, and the 4S dealership was responsible for the license and registration.

Dream Morrow and Samuel Ross didn’t know who the Mini was for, but both were envious.

Yusuf Zuck joked in response, promising that in no more than two years, they could afford Land Rovers too.

The three of them drove one each, with Dream Morrow in his Buick, Samuel Ross in the MINI, and Yusuf Zuck in the Land Rover, arriving at the Ruiz Family market at dusk.

Yusuf Zuck wasn’t planning to introduce Samuel Ross and Dream Morrow to Louise Garrett right away, so after delivering the car to Ruiz Family market, he sent them away to familiarize themselves quickly with the layout of Beijing Institute and be prepared in advance.

Samuel Ross and Dream Morrow didn’t object, they were eager to enjoy their newly purchased houses and sort out their rooms.

A few minutes later, Yusuf Zuck entered Bright Jade Hall, where the owner Hao was out, leaving only Louise Garrett and two female waitresses eating fast food on the first floor.

"Yusuf Zuck? Have you finished what you needed to do? Have you eaten?" Upon seeing Yusuf Zuck come in, Louise Garrett immediately stood up, and the two waitresses also offered him a smile—they were familiar with him from his frequent visits.

In the parking lot outside the Ruiz Family market, she saw two brand-new cars, one a robust Land Rover Discovery, and the other a delicate BMW MINI.

"Thank you." When Yusuf Zuck placed the car keys in her hand, she couldn’t help but feel excited. Despite having been a high-level white-collar worker for years with a driver’s license ready, she had only recently bought a house and hadn’t planned on buying a car so soon, and if she did, she would need a loan.

But she hadn’t expected that Yusuf Zuck would buy her a MINI after a day out—though not expensive, the car was small and refined, ideal for a girl to drive.

"Don’t be polite with me. Use this car for now, and we can switch it up once you’re ready for a change." Despite Yusuf Zuck’s newfound wealth, a few tens of millions in Beijing is at best considered mid-level wealth. To put it bluntly, even a single handbag of Mia’s could be worth two of his MINIs, so he could afford to splurge on a small scale, but truly high-end items were still out of his reach.

"I won’t get tired of it—it’s more than enough," said Louise Garrett contentedly.

"Want to get in and give it a try?" Yusuf Zuck suggested.

Louise Garrett shook her head and said, "I’m a bit rusty. You should drive to a quiet place with few cars first, then I’ll practice."

"That works, let’s head to the outer ring road to find a quiet spot to practice." Yusuf Zuck promptly took the driver’s seat.

They soon hit the road, weaving through the congested streets of Beijing. It wasn’t until 7:30 p.m. that they found a suitable place to practice driving on the outer ring road, and Louise Garrett took the driver’s seat while Yusuf Zuck sat in the passenger seat.

Louise Garrett had driven before, her only issue being a bit of rustiness. Plus, the MINI was easy to handle, so in about half an hour, she became increasingly proficient.

"Has your aunt left?" While driving back, Yusuf Zuck once again asked the question, while simultaneously scanning Louise Garrett’s body with telekinesis.

"What for?" Louise Garrett was taken aback by Yusuf Zuck’s question, but soon shot him a look.

"What do you think I’m asking for?" Yusuf Zuck said with a naughty grin.

"Giggles..." Louise Garrett burst into laughter hearing Yusuf Zuck’s words.

As Louise Garrett laughed, Yusuf Zuck looked at her dryly. After she had finished laughing, she leaned in close to Yusuf Zuck’s ear and whispered a few words.

"You said it, stop the car!" Hearing her whisper, Yusuf Zuck felt a surge of mischief and immediately commanded her to pull over—he wanted car sex!

And she complied obediently, parking the car on the side of the outer ring road.

As soon as the car stopped, Yusuf Zuck eagerly lay down.

Half an hour later, Yusuf Zuck helped to neaten her messy hair and said, "Thank you."

She gave a seductive smile, "It was my choice. Also, I have something serious to talk to you about." Louise Garrett thought for a moment and said, "I looked around Ruiz Family market today and saw a few shops up for transfer, including one for a complete buyout in the miscellaneous zone. It’s larger than Uncle Hao’s on one side, with mostly stationery items, some porcelain, paintings, with no Jade Artifacts. Of course, even with paintings, don’t expect any valuable treasures. The shop is asking for three million for a three-year lease."

"Yeah, I’m quite interested since we can continue to operate while renovating, not wasting any time."

"Only three million, not much. I’ll check it out tomorrow," Yusuf Zuck excitedly said.

"Alright." Louise Garrett nodded, "Actually, the antique business is easy to manage if you do it right. As long as you have a steady customer base and ensure the authenticity of the antiques you sell, the business will grow."

Yusuf Zuck smiled and said, "Then I’ll handle sourcing, and you take care of sales."

"Sure," Louise Garrett nodded obediently.

Just as they were heading back, Yusuf Zuck’s phone rang, with Lara Tuff appearing on the display as Mia.

Seeing the word Mia, Yusuf Zuck’s head started to ache, yet he couldn’t ignore the call.

As the call connected, before Yusuf Zuck could speak, Mia spoke coldly, "It’s 9:30 p.m. now. Can you tell me why you’re not home yet and what you’ve been up to?"

Yusuf Zuck glanced reflexively at Louise Garrett after hearing Mia’s words, but she seemed to be focused on driving, as if she hadn’t heard.

"Madam, since when do I have to report my activities to you?" Yusuf Zuck said, bemused.

"You definitely need to report to me. I have to keep an eye on you for Ms. Wilcox, so get yourself back here within an hour. And let’s talk about money while you’re at it, by the way, bring some roasted pork or something—I haven’t had dinner yet!"

With a "click," the call ended, she didn’t give Yusuf Zuck a chance to make excuses.

Yusuf Zuck put his phone in his pocket and after some thought, he explained, "That’s my boss’s classmate. I beat up her bodyguard before, and she has been targeting me ever since."

"Uh-huh. You drive. It’ll be faster if we get back soon." Louise Garrett smiled and pulled the car over to the side of the road, motioning for Yusuf Zuck to take the wheel.
