Chapter 826: Chapter 822 Loneliness

Ye Fan drove away from Yulin Bay Villa and onto the main road, surrounded by bright streetlights, a continuous stream of traffic, and shops on both sides of the street ablaze with lights. Goods were plentiful, with handsome men and beautiful women bustling about.

This largest city in China remains bustling even at night.

Yet, looking at all this liveliness, Ye Fan felt a sense of loneliness, as if the city’s prosperity was tens of thousands of miles away from him.

He drove through the crisscrossing streets, and for a moment, felt a sense of homelessness in this vast city.

A place with a wife who loves you is home.

It’s because of Li Zhaojun, Ye Fan knew very well, but there was nothing he could do about Li Zhaojun’s situation now.

He pulled over to the side of the road, took out his phone, intending to call Li Zhaojun, but when he found her name, he couldn’t bring himself to dial.

Annoyed, he tossed the phone aside, leaned back against the seat, and stared blankly at the car roof.

“Knock knock knock!”

A few minutes later, someone was knocking on the car window. Ye Fan turned his head and saw a female traffic cop standing outside.

“Sir, you can’t park here,” said the female traffic cop.

“Oh, sorry, I’ll leave right away.” Ye Fan smiled apologetically, started the engine, turned the car, and drove onto the main street.

He suddenly grabbed his phone and dialed Zhao Tianya’s number, “Hey, Sister Tian Ya, I want to drink.”

Zhao Tianya was visibly taken aback, but then she smiled, “Sure, where?”

“Let’s go to Tianfei, I’ll wait for you there,” Ye Fan said.

“Alright, I’ll be over in a bit,” Zhao Tianya said and hung up the phone.

Ye Fan sped up, heading towards Tianfei Night Club.

After half an hour, Ye Fan arrived at Tianfei Night Club.

He easily found a nice seat and sat down, ordering three bottles of red wine and some fruit plates. He asked the waiter for two crystal wine glasses, filled one glass to a third capacity, and placed it opposite him. He then filled his own glass to the brim.

He raised his glass and toasted the empty seat opposite him, then gently clinked it against the tabletop glass, and drank the overflowing glass of red wine in one gulp.

After emptying the glass in one gulp, he refilled it and repeated the previous action, finishing it in one go.

After drinking three glasses, he had already finished one bottle of red wine.

A waiter noticed and frowned slightly, wondering why someone would drink like this with red wine instead of beer. However, looking at the customer’s mannerism and skilled technique, he didn’t seem like someone who didn’t know how to drink red wine.

Probably here to drown his sorrows, thought the waiter. People like this either face setbacks in love or have temporary career troubles, but most of them aren’t short on money. They are quite common in nightclubs.

The waiter turned around and walked over to the dance floor, standing beside a young beauty dancing to the music. He said a few words and pointed at Ye Fan, who was drinking alone.

The beauty, wearing ultra-short denim shorts, smiled and tugged down her neckline, revealing a glaring whiteness, and charmingly swaggered over to Ye Fan’s side.

Ye Fan was about to open the second bottle of red wine when he saw a pair of straight, slender white legs standing opposite him.

The beauty bent down, smoothed her hair, “Hey, handsome, can I have a drink?”

Ye Fan didn’t raise his head and continued opening the wine.

The beauty did not give up and bent even lower, Ye Fan’s line of sight just happened to catch the whiteness and deep business line within her neckline.

He lifted his head.

The beauty smiled inwardly, feeling confident in her body and looks. She flirtatiously combed her sleek black hair behind her ear and said, “Drinking alone is so dull, I…”

Before she could finish her sentence, she saw Ye Fan’s eyes, where a flash of coldness passed through. Her heart suddenly froze, as if a hand had squeezed it hard.

Ye Fan’s gaze returned to normal and said blandly, “This isn’t your business, go away.”

The beauty stomped her foot angrily, but remembering the cold gaze that made her spine shiver, she hesitated for a moment and still left.

Was that an illusion just now? She thought as she walked, nearly bumping into someone as she wasn’t paying attention. As she passed by, she realized it was a woman: hanging an LV limited edition women’s bag from this year on her shoulder, wearing a body-hugging dress with a slit on the side close to her thighs, wrapped in black stockings on her slender yet voluptuous thighs, and high heels that complemented her tall figure.

This woman, whether it’s her looks, body, or outfit and style, could easily surpass most of the women present by a long shot.

As she walked past, her aura was overwhelming, like a nightclub queen, causing many men and women to instinctively focus their gaze on her.

The woman sat next to Ye Fan, almost pressing against him.

Even a fool could see that the relationship between these two was anything but ordinary.

The men turned away in disappointment, while the women curiously examined Ye Fan, wondering what was so special about this man to tame such a woman.

Zhao Tianya glanced at the wine glass on the opposite table that Ye Fan had placed. “Oh, did you invite someone else?”

Ye Fan chuckled, “That wine was poured for you.”

“Who are you fooling? This is a nightclub, not a sister’s house. Would I sit opposite you like a guest?” Zhao Tianya said, then turned to look at the beauty already in the dance floor, “That girl isn’t bad, why did you send her away?”

“Sister Tian Ya, don’t joke with me,” Ye Fan replied and asked the waiter for another wine glass, pouring Zhao Tianya half a glass of red wine.

“See, little trickster, you’re busted. If that glass wasn’t touched by anyone, why give me a new glass?” Zhao Tianya asked.

“Indeed it was touched,” Ye Fan said, “That woman’s hair brushed into the glass when she bent down.”

Zhao Tianya uttered an ‘oh’ before taking the glass Ye Fan handed her, “You’re quite thoughtful.”

Then she shook the glass slightly. The two raised their glasses and gently clinked them.

Zhao Tianya took a sip and leaned closer, her soft chest pressing against Ye Fan’s arm. “So, what’s bothering you? Why did you specifically come to drink?”

“Nothing, just felt like drinking,” Ye Fan replied, pouring himself half a glass again and drinking it down in one go.

“Red wine shouldn’t be drunk like that,” Zhao Tianya said sternly, “What’s really going on with you today?”

Ye Fan casually wrapped his arm around Zhao Tianya’s waist, pulling her into his embrace, “Sister Tian Ya, let’s avoid other topics today and just drink, okay?”

Zhao Tianya thought for a moment, then suddenly giggled, “Alright, alright, I won’t say anything, won’t ask anything, just drink with you!”
