Chapter 765: Chapter 761: Meeting Tantai Wanrong
The next morning, Ye Fan continued his visit to Huayang Martial Arts Academy. Having some rare free time, he wanted to spend a couple more days with Lu Xiaoman.
However, inside the Huayang Martial Arts Academy, Mo Xiaoyan was nowhere to be seen.
Usually, by this time, Mo Xiaoyan would come to the academy to hang out, and then join Ye Fan and Lu Xiaoman for lunch and dinner as the third wheel.
While indulging in their sweet nothings, Lu Xiaoman took the initiative to tell Ye Fan that Mo Xiaoyan had been busy and hadn’t come to hang out at the academy these past few days.
Upon hearing this, Ye Fan thought to himself, “Could it be that my words last night had an effect?”
Around ten in the morning, Ye Fan received a phone call from Shen Yan.
“Ye Fan,” China’s Good Voice is starting to form teams, and then we’ll have song rehearsals. Do you want to participate?” Shen Yan asked over the phone.
After the blind auditions of “China’s Good Voice,” the first phase was the selection within mentor teams, where contestants were paired up and performed a song together in a knockout round.
Ye Fan replied directly, “I don’t plan on participating. The contract states that I just need to perform on stage during the competitions. For the first round of knockouts that require a duet, isn’t there a format where we sing different parts? Just use that format. Let my opponent sing the first half, and I’ll sing the second half.”
It wasn’t that he was trying to act like a big shot; he simply couldn’t afford to spend time on rehearsing songs.
Firstly, it was impossible for him to take a leave of over a month for “China’s Good Voice.” Secondly, he didn’t want to make too many appearances and risk revealing his identity. Lastly, he didn’t really care much about participating in “China’s Good Voice,” or to put it another way, he didn’t place much importance on the music.
“Alright. I’ll get in touch with them,” said Shen Yan.
The next morning, Ye Fan paid a visit to Gu Lan Martial Arts Academy.
He had originally told Lin Yuehua, Gu Youlan, and others that he would frequently visit Gu Lan Martial Arts Academy, but his trip to Africa delayed him for a few months.
He took the opportunity to visit now that he had some spare time.
When he arrived at Gu Lan Martial Arts Academy, Ye Fan not only met Lin Yuehua but also saw Gu Youlan and Gu Shuang. Of course, Lin Yuehua was mainly in charge of hosting him.
Entering Lin Yuehua’s practice room that came with an adjoining rest area, both sat cross-legged face to face, with a coffee table between them.
In fact, before going to Africa, Ye Fan had visited Gu Lan Martial Arts Academy once. At the time, he sang his new song for Lin Yuehua to hear.
They spent about two hours chatting over tea, mainly discussing ancient martial arts training and music.
After leaving Gu Lan Martial Arts Academy, Ye Fan drove back to Huayang Martial Arts Academy and took Lu Xiaoman out for a meal.
At half-past five in the afternoon, Ye Fan began to leave the academy alone, heading to Baiyun Community to have dinner at Tantai Wanrong’s house.
It had been a long while since he had seen Tantai Wanrong, and Ye Fan felt both eager and a bit nervous.
He had wanted to see Tantai Wanrong earlier, but these past few days weren’t weekends, and Tantai Wanrong happened to be busy with lots of work. He could only postpone it until this Saturday evening.
Finally, driving up to the gate of Baiyun Community, since he had called in advance, Qin Mengyao was already waiting for him at the entrance.
As Qin Mengyao sat down in the passenger seat and cheerfully called out, “Brother Fan,”
Ye Fan responded with a smile and took a moment to observe Qin Mengyao, noticing that the previously bald girl now had a head of sleek, black, long hair. Additionally, she wore a pair of pink-framed glasses—the change was really quite significant; no wonder they say a girl changes eighteen times between childhood and womanhood.
“You’re nearsighted?” Ye Fan couldn’t help but ask.
“Do I look good with glasses?” Qin Mengyao deliberately adjusted her glasses with her delicate fingers, but purposefully thrust her chest forward.
“Yeah, you look much nicer,” Ye Fan nodded. He naturally noticed Qin Mengyao’s chest-thrusting gesture, and he couldn’t help thinking, they seemed to have grown quite a bit, giving a sense of rolling hills.
Only then did Qin Mengyao smile and say, “I’ve been studying really hard lately, so I’ve stayed up late and gotten nearsighted.”
“Indeed, you need to work hard.” Ye Fan remembered that Qin Mengyao was going to take her high school exams this year and nodded, “Good luck!”
After that, Ye Fan started the car and entered the residential complex.
Driving to Tantai Wanrong’s building, they got out of the car, Ye Fan carrying a gift in his right hand, while Qin Mengyao intimately linked her arm with his left, and they walked toward the stairs together.
A few minutes later, Ye Fan finally saw Tantai Wanrong.
Unlike previous visits for meals at Tantai Wanrong’s place, this time she had already cooked the food. As Qin Mengyao used her key to open the door, Tantai Wanrong helped open it.
As the door swung open, Ye Fan was dazzled by the sight.
There stood Tantai Wanrong, her stunningly beautiful face with gentle elegance, wearing a light and casual long dress. Her chest was full and high, with the neckline of her dress slightly low, revealing a bit of creamy white skin. Her figure remained tall and slender without losing its voluptuousness, and her whole aura was even more elegant and noble.
“Hehe, Auntie Wanrong,” Ye Fan came back to his senses, took a deep breath in secret, and greeted her with a smile.
Tantai Wanrong also smiled elegantly, “Come in, Xiaofan.”
After saying that, she gracefully turned around and walked inside.
Ye Fan followed her in, and his gaze involuntarily fell on Tantai Wanrong’s back. The light and casual long dress, although loose, revealed the full and resilient curves of her body with every step she took, oozing fatal attraction.
In Tantai Wanrong’s home, Ye Fan didn’t quite see himself as a guest and found a spot for the gift himself.
“Have a seat and take a break, then we’ll have dinner,” Tantai Wanrong said, slightly twisting her body towards Ye Fan.
“Alright,” Ye Fan replied.
Sitting on the sofa, Tantai Wanrong elegantly started to make tea. Ye Fan hadn’t seen her for so long; he was captivated by her graceful and dignified movements as she made tea.
Just then, he suddenly felt his foot get kicked.
He quickly snapped back to his senses and turned to look, seeing Qin Mengyao glaring at him with a warning in her almond-shaped eyes.
Ye Fan couldn’t help but smile and pinched Qin Mengyao’s cheek, while she pouted and swatted his hand away with her small hand.
Tantai Wanrong, while making tea, caught sight of Ye Fan pinching Qin Mengyao’s cheek and her swatting his hand away with a peripheral glance, and she couldn’t help but let a smile appear.
Once the tea was ready, the three of them chatted casually and relaxedly while enjoying the tea. The conversation was mainly between Ye Fan and Tantai Wanrong, with Qin Mengyao chiming in occasionally.
After sitting for about seven or eight minutes, they finally got up and went to the dining room for dinner.
The food had been kept warm, and as it was summer, there was no need to worry about it getting cold.
At the table, in addition to two meat dishes specially made for Ye Fan by Tantai Wanrong, the rest were vegetarian dishes.
As they sat down at the table, Ye Fan suddenly remembered that Zhao Tianya hadn’t arrived. Just as he was about to ask, he stopped himself. Since Tantai Wanrong had asked to start the meal, perhaps she had not called Zhao Tianya or Zhao Tianya wasn’t free at that moment. Why should he ask unnecessarily? Without Zhao Tianya around, he found his meal to be even more comfortable and at ease.
