Chapter 625 - 625 621 Li Zhaojun's Transformation

625: Chapter 621 Li Zhaojun’s Transformation 625: Chapter 621 Li Zhaojun’s Transformation Ye Fan’s heart uncontrollably thundered upon hearing those words.

However, he quickly regained his composure and feigned severity, “Stop joking.

Come on, sit back down.”

“How boring!” Mo Xiaoyan pouted slightly, released Ye Fan, and returned to the passenger seat.

Next, Ye Fan started the car, turned it around, exited the neighborhood, and drove Mo Xiaoyan home.

After dropping Mo Xiaoyan off in front of the villa where she lived, Ye Fan drove straight away to check into the Dingsheng International Hotel.

In the morning, Ye Fan spent an hour or two at Hua Hai Martial Arts Hall before leaving to find Li Zhaojun in the Royal Forest Bay community.

Seeing Li Zhaojun again, Ye Fan frowned.

It wasn’t that Li Zhaojun had become less attractive, but rather that she had grown even more beautiful, so much so that it was intimidating—her brilliance was mesmerizing.

Yet, this beauty gave Ye Fan a sense of unreality, as if she was a celestial being who occasionally descended from the heavenly palace.

Cold and aloof, untouched by worldly matters, ready to ride the wind away at any moment.

Although the winter in Hua Hai city wasn’t as cold as in that northern part, Li Zhaojun wore only a thin, snowy white long dress, showing no sign of feeling cold, but still giving off an even more distant and remote aura, as if she were miles away.

Could it be because she was following Master Qing Lian in her spiritual cultivation?

Ye Fan couldn’t help but speculate in his mind.

“Hehe, Zhao Jun.” Ye Fan came back to his senses, relaxed his brows, put on a smile, and called out as he took two steps forward to reach for her delicate hand.

As he grasped that delicate hand, Ye Fan immediately felt a faint chill.

He couldn’t help but ask with concern, “It’s so cold, why aren’t you wearing more clothes?

Your hands are cold.”

“I’m not cold,” Li Zhaojun said, a faint smile appearing on her serene face.

Yet, Ye Fan still felt that her smile seemed distant and cold, markedly different from a month ago.

Li Zhaojun then subtly withdrew her hand and turned to say, “Let’s go inside.”

“Mhm.” Ye Fan responded, walking shoulder to shoulder with Li Zhaojun into the villa’s grand entrance hall.

Walking beside Li Zhaojun, Ye Fan had intended to make casual conversation, but as the words reached his lips, he felt unable to express them, for he found his own words trivial beside the aloof Li Zhaojun.

Upon entering the grand hall, Ye Fan immediately smelled a calming sandalwood fragrance, and then saw Master Qing Lian seated on a sofa.

In front of her, on the upper left side of the coffee table, was a bronze incense burner with wisps of light, wafting smoke that spread throughout the villa.

Master Qing Lian was still breathtakingly beautiful, dressed in vintage clothes with a distinguished aura, exuding a transcendent, celestial presence.

Ye Fan quickly approached and greeted Master Qing Lian, “Master Qing Lian.”

Master Qing Lian slightly turned her head and nodded slightly toward Ye Fan, “Ye Fan.”

After Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun seated themselves, Ye Fan made small talk, “Master Qing Lian, have you been comfortable staying here?”

“Ah, it’s okay,” replied Master Qing Lian.

After exchanging a few pleasantries, Master Qing Lian did not obstruct the reunion of husband and wife Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun, allowing them to go upstairs.

Upon reaching the second floor and entering the room, Ye Fan eagerly embraced Li Zhaojun’s slender waist, longing for some intimacy.

Yet, he quickly realized that Li Zhaojun’s response was somewhat cold.

“What’s wrong?” Ye Fan stopped, slightly pulling away to gaze into Li Zhaojun’s ever-more-stunning face and her eyes, as serene and cool as the moon.

Li Zhaojun said indifferently, “It’s nothing.”

Ye Fan, however, did not think so.

Before his trip to Mingde County, although Li Zhaojun was usually aloof and kept others at a distance in public, she was still affectionate when alone with him.

“Did I do something to upset you?” he asked, feeling somewhat guilty.

Li Zhaojun gently shook her head, “No.

Let’s continue.”

Saying this, she closed her eyes, serene and cool as the moon, waiting for Ye Fan’s kiss.

Ye Fan’s lips touched hers, kissing Li Zhaojun’s delicate lips for a while, but he felt they were cool.

Something seemed wrong, and finally, he himself no longer felt passionate and stopped the unilateral fervent kissing.

Pulling Li Zhaojun’s somewhat icy hand to sit at the edge of the bed, Ye Fan asked, “Zhao Jun, are you angry that I haven’t come to see you for a long time?”

“No,” Li Zhaojun replied calmly.

Ye Fan probed, “Then why do I feel you are not very happy to see me?”

“Don’t overthink it,” Li Zhaojun said.

“Maybe you’re just not used to my usual self after not seeing me for a long time?”

Ye Fan reluctantly nodded; he understood Li Zhaojun’s personality well enough.

Since she said she wasn’t angry with him, it must be true.

However, Li Zhaojun’s explanation did not ease his confusion.

He asked, “By the way, how are your training sessions with Master Qing Lian going?”

“The progress is good and not affected by my late start in training,” Li Zhaojun replied.

“Can you reach that level in half a year?” Ye Fan asked.

“I should be able to,” Li Zhaojun responded, aware of what Ye Fan meant, but her beautiful face was still cold and clear.

Ye Fan felt a surge of happiness, but a sense of unease lingered in his heart.

Subsequently, Ye Fan made small talk with Li Zhaojun.

After about half an hour, Ye Fan felt that Li Zhaojun finally seemed a bit “warmer.”

Moved by the emotion, Ye Fan kissed Li Zhaojun passionately again.

This time, Li Zhaojun responded slightly.

The couple were affectionate in the room for over an hour and finally went downstairs to the dining room for lunch when it was time.

After lunch, Master Qing Lian did not interfere with Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun being affectionate and went back to her room.

Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun sat on the sofa in the lobby chatting.

“Ye Fan, since you rarely come back, I plan to have my eldest sister and second sister come over for dinner tonight,” Li Zhaojun said as if she remembered something.

“That sounds great.

It’s more lively with more people, and I miss seeing Aunt Rong and the rest,” Ye Fan said with a smile.

“Uh-huh,” Li Zhaojun responded and added, “I plan to use this opportunity to tell them about our real relationship.”

Ye Fan’s smile stiffened, and it took him a moment to recover, forcing a laugh, “Heh, that should be done.”

Li Zhaojun’s face remained cold, seemingly unaware of Ye Fan’s change in expression, and continued, “You call them.”

“Uh-huh,” Ye Fan nodded somewhat mechanically.

“You should call them now.

I need to train later,” Li Zhaojun finished speaking, stood up, and her graceful, chilly figure ascended the stairs.

After Li Zhaojun went upstairs, Ye Fan sat on the sofa, his expression revealing a bitter smile.

He dared not imagine how Tantai Wanrong would react upon finding out he was already married, and moreover, to Li Zhaojun.

Even though he always considered himself strong and brave, he felt somewhat unable to face it.

However, since Li Zhaojun had already brought it up, he had no choice but to agree.

In fact, when they last parted, Li Zhaojun had already allowed him to delay.
