500: Chapter 496: Taking a Walk with Li Zhaojun (Three More) 500: Chapter 496: Taking a Walk with Li Zhaojun (Three More) After a while, Zhao Tianya finished in the restroom and came out, and Li Zhaojun immediately went in.
With a relaxed look, Zhao Tianya’s gaze swept over the luxuriously decorated living room.
Seeing Ye Fan sitting there, she smiled and walked over gracefully, then flopped her beautiful body onto another soft leather sofa.
“Giggle, so comfortable,” she said lounging on the sofa, stretching leisurely.
She then turned her sparkling eyes to Ye Fan and crooked her finger at him.
Ye Fan, of course, wouldn’t actually go over and asked, “What’s up?”
“Auntie’s thirsty, shouldn’t you get me a glass of water?” Zhao Tianya teased him with an air of self-importance.
Ye Fan glared at Zhao Tianya, annoyed, and couldn’t be bothered with her.
“Giggle, giggle, giggle,” Zhao Tianya laughed flirtatiously, knowing full well why Ye Fan was glaring at her.
Yet she purposefully said, “You’re not still upset because I beat you to the restroom just now, are you?
That’s not right, you know, we ought to respect our elders.”
Right then, Tantai Wanrong walked out of the master bedroom with elegant composure and smiled, “Tian Ya, are you bullying little Fan again because of your seniority?”
Hearing Tantai Wanrong’s voice, Zhao Tianya immediately sat up straight and giggled, “I asked him to get me a glass of water, and he was utterly indifferent.
If you asked, he would bustlingly fetch it for you.
Why the big difference?”
Tantai Wanrong walked over to Ye Fan, elegantly took a seat beside him, and lightly laughed with a touch of pride, “I treat little Fan with sincerity, so of course he responds to me with the same.
You always play tricks on little Fan, so it would be odd if he showed you a happy face.”
Then she turned to Ye Fan and smiled, “Little Fan, you drove for so long just now; you must be tired.”
“Heh, it was nothing,” Ye Fan said with a smile.
“Hey, I can say that too,” Zhao Tianya called out and then said to Ye Fan, “Little Fan, you drove for so long just now; you must be tired.
Later at dinner, Auntie will reward you with a roasted duck leg, alright?”
Ye Fan couldn’t help but roll his eyes and said, “Nothing you say is ever pleasant to hear.”
“Giggle, seems you think little of a roasted duck leg.
How about this, come over here, and your auntie will give your shoulders a rub,” teased Zhao Tianya with a flirtatious laugh, “Don’t miss out on the rare chance.”
Ye Fan stood up, but instead of walking towards Zhao Tianya, he passed her by and continued towards the restroom.
As it happened, Li Zhaojun had already come out of the restroom.
After resting for a little over half an hour, Li Zhaojun, Tantai Wanrong, and Zhao Tianya changed into a new set of clothes for going out and then went together to the hotel’s dining hall for a meal.
On this trip, Li Zhaojun and the others weren’t set on visiting any particular scenic spot like most people would be, but instead were just playing around casually.
If they ended up having fun in the hotel, they might just stay and play there without going anywhere else.
So after lunch, when they got back to the presidential suite, they were planning to take a nice nap with no set time for when to get up and go out.
Around three in the afternoon, Li Zhaojun and the girls finally got up, got ready, and went out for a trip.
Of course, Ye Fan was driving, and the destination was not any popular attraction, but the Zhijiang campus of Zhejiang University.
When Ye Fan first heard they were going to a university campus for fun, he thought Tantai Wanrong and the others had kind of quirky tastes.
Though universities are a gathering place of culture, isn’t the environment roughly the same at every one of them?
If one had to say any were somewhat interesting, it would be those historically rich and meaningful campuses like Tsinghua or Peking University.
But to drive all the way to Hangzhou and actually visit an obscure campus.
However, it wasn’t until Ye Fan drove into Zhejiang University’s Zhijiang Campus that he realized he had been mistaken, and he couldn’t help but admire Tantai Wanrong and the others for choosing such a place to hang out.
The campus was built on a hill, with plentiful trees, quaint buildings, and a picturesque landscape, exuding a serene tranquility.
Ye Fan and his companions strolled down the shady campus paths.
It was the weekend, and every now and then they would see vibrant, bespectacled college students sitting under the shade of trees or on the benches across the lawn, deeply engrossed in their books, creating an exceptionally pleasing and picturesque scene.
Taking a stroll in the Zhejiang University Zhijiang Campus, Ye Fan was prepared mentally to follow behind Li Zhaojun and the other four women as a lone bodyguard.
However, when the actual walk took place, Tantai Wanrong didn’t stick with Li Zhaojun and Zhao Tianya, but rather lingered a few meters behind, walking with Ye Fan instead.
As for Qin Mengyao, although she had intended to stay by Tantai Wanrong’s side to keep an eye on Ye Fan, Tantai Wanrong had dispatched her to the front to join Li Zhaojun and Zhao Tianya.
Walking side by side with Tantai Wanrong, the two of them were relatively close, their shoulders brushing occasionally as they walked and chatted softly.
This was Ye Fan’s first time walking and talking with Tantai Wanrong, and he found the experience quite pleasant, especially since being close allowed him to catch whiffs of Tantai Wanrong’s mature and alluring fragrance.
In addition, he occasionally exaggerated the swinging motion of his upper body as he walked, allowing his arm to lightly brush against Tantai Wanrong’s smooth and soft shoulders.
Tantai Wanrong did not seem to mind, appearing not to notice.
After about half an hour of walking together, Li Zhaojun deliberately fell back to walk with Tantai Wanrong.
After exchanging a few words with Li Zhaojun, Tantai Wanrong quickened her pace and moved ahead to walk with Zhao Tianya and Qin Mengyao, leaving Ye Fan to walk with Li Zhaojun.
Although Li Zhaojun had intended to take a walk with Ye Fan, she did not initiate conversation.
The two walked in silence for a while before Ye Fan felt compelled to start a topic.
Li Zhaojun caught on, and they began to engage in slow and casual conversation, creating a fairly relaxed atmosphere.
They talked in hushed tones, walking closely together, though they still kept a certain distance compared to his earlier proximity to Tantai Wanrong.
“Which school did you attend for university?” Li Zhaojun asked.
As they chatted, the topic gradually shifted to university studies.
“Strictly speaking, I never attended university,” Ye Fan replied.
Li Zhaojun was taken aback and stopped in her tracks, looking at Ye Fan with disbelief.
If she hadn’t known before that Ye Fan wasn’t just a spoiled rich kid, she wouldn’t have been so surprised, but now with that knowledge, her astonishment was unavoidable.
Considering Ye Fan hailed from the distinguished Ye family, how could he have possibly not attended university?
At the very least, he would have obtained some sort of academic degree.
It made no sense at all.
Ye Fan said with a light smile, “I have no reason to lie to you.
I was enrolled in the military and in university at the same time, registered at the National Defense University.
I’d only go back to school to take exams once a year.”
The National Defense University is the finest military academy in the country, focusing on grooming high-ranking military officers.
The senior commanders who emerge from there will be the future leaders and supreme commanders of warfare.
Officers from the National Defense University are almost exclusively elites, the pillars of the nation.
“To be honest, I am quite unfamiliar with the campus environment of civilian universities here,” Ye Fan added.
“I’ve never stayed in one.”
