Ye Fan curled his lips and said indifferently, “Then you buy them.”

“But I’ll really buy them, you know!” Mo Xiaoyan saw Ye Fan’s indifferent look and, finding her threat useless, her brows instantly furrowed as she said, “I’m serious about buying them, okay?”

“Go ahead,” Ye Fan thought to himself with inward laughter, maintaining a calm demeanor.

“Humph, don’t think I really don’t dare to buy them!” Mo Xiaoyan said indignantly, letting go of Ye Fan’s arm and walking up to the Chanel counter cashier.

“Hello, how can I assist you?” the cashier asked politely.

Mo Xiaoyan said, “I want to buy out your entire store.

Please tally up how much it will cost, and then I’ll pay by card!”

The cashier was momentarily stunned and then apologized with a timid smile, “Miss, you must be joking.”

“Who’s joking with you?

Hurry up and tally it, I’m serious about buying!” retorted Mo Xiaoyan.

The cashier smiled and shook her head, “I’m sorry, we don’t sell out all our merchandise at once, that’s against our policy because we have other customers to consider.

Miss, please take your time selecting your favorite perfume or cosmetics, then you can bring them to pay, alright?”

“I’m really buying!” insisted Mo Xiaoyan.

The cashier just smiled politely and shook her head.

Ye Fan, standing behind, couldn’t hold back his laughter any longer.

Hearing Ye Fan’s laughter, Mo Xiaoyan turned around angrily and upon seeing him trying to suppress his amusement, made an inviting gesture.

She immediately became infuriated to the point of steam almost coming out of her ears.

“Do you even know how to do business?

I want to buy out your entire store!” Mo Xiaoyan turned back to the cashier and raised her voice a notch or two.

The cashier still smiled and shook her head politely, “That’s against our policy, there are other customers we need to attend to.”

“Humph, I’m never buying Chanel products again!” Mo Xiaoyan fumed, turning to leave, “So inflexible!”

She walked back to Ye Fan, who was still there trying to suppress his laughter.

Pouting, Mo Xiaoyan said, “Don’t laugh!”

Ye Fan laughed even more joyfully.

Stomping her foot, Mo Xiaoyan grasped Ye Fan’s arm forcefully and said defiantly, “I refuse to believe there’s not a single store that will sell out everything to me!”

With that, she pulled Ye Fan towards another brand counter.

Ye Fan’s smile turned a bit stiff because Mo Xiaoyan, in her anger, was gripping his arm so tightly that a considerable softness was pressing distinctly against it.

“Hello, I’m looking for the person in charge here,” Mo Xiaoyan said to a sales associate at the Estée Lauder counter.

“Sure, one moment please,” the associate replied.

Soon, a female store manager from not far away came over and asked, “Sir, miss, how may I help you both?”

“I want to buy everything here, have someone tally the total so I can pay by card,” demanded Mo Xiaoyan.

The store manager glanced at Mo Xiaoyan and then at Ye Fan, who was tightly held by the arm, mistaking them for a couple quarreling.

Politely refusing, she said, “I’m sorry, that’s against our regulations as we have other customers.

Please take your time to choose…”

Mo Xiaoyan did not wait for the store manager to finish speaking and walked away, visibly annoyed and still dragging Ye Fan along.

On their way to the third makeup counter, Ye Fan, containing his laughter, said, “You won’t be able to buy anything this way.

Wouldn’t it be better to just pick out a few items honestly?”

“I insist on buying it this way, to drain you financially!” retorted Mo Xiaoyan.

The responses they got from the third international brand makeup counter were much the same as the first two, all assuming Mo Xiaoyan and Ye Fan were a young couple having a tiff, not wanting to suffer the consequences.

“The people selling cosmetics are all so rigid, I won’t buy any cosmetics!

Let’s go upstairs and buy other stuff!” declared Mo Xiaoyan, visibly upset.

Thus, she tight-gripped Ye Fan’s arm and took the elevator to the second floor.

The outcome remained unchanged.

After touring all the floors, Mo Xiaoyan still hadn’t bought a single thing.

Ye Fan’s face was sore from too much smiling.

“They don’t even want the chance to make money.

I give up on buying!” Mo Xiaoyan said a bit annoyed, “Let’s go to a KTV!”

“Really not buying anything?” Ye Fan couldn’t help but ask in surprise.

He had already prepared himself for a spending spree.

“I’m not buying!” reaffirmed Mo Xiaoyan.

“Maybe you should buy something.

It shouldn’t be a wasted trip,” Ye Fan advised.

“I said no!” Mo Xiaoyan persisted angrily.

“Alright then,” Ye Fan said with a smile, “But I need to buy a few things.

We can’t just leave empty-handed.”

“What are you going to buy?” asked Mo Xiaoyan.

Ye Fan turned to look at Mo Xiaoyan for a moment, then his eyes settled on her smooth, snowy neck and he smiled, “Let’s buy two scarves, winter is coming.”

And so, Ye Fan and Mo Xiaoyan went back to the floor selling scarves and other textiles.

About half an hour later, Ye Fan had bought four scarves, one for men and three for women, spending over forty thousand dollars.

“Here, this one is for you,” Ye Fan said as he handed one of the scarves to Mo Xiaoyan.

Mo Xiaoyan took the scarf, then her gaze fell on the other two women’s scarves in Ye Fan’s hand, and pouting with rosy lips, she complained, “That’s so unfair, even though I accompanied you shopping, you bought two for my sister and only one for me.”

“Ah, you’re wronging me,” Ye Fan chuckled, “One of the scarves indeed is for your sister, but the other is for my mother.”

Hearing this, Mo Xiaoyan commented, “I didn’t realize you were so filial.”

Then she reached out to hold Ye Fan’s arm and asked, “Anything else you want to buy?”

“That’s it,” Ye Fan replied.

“Then let’s head to the KTV.

But there’s one condition I’d like to change!” Mo Xiaoyan said.

“What’s the change?” Ye Fan asked.

“I haven’t bought anything tonight, which is too lenient on you,” Mo Xiaoyan explained, “So, after we go to KTV, when we return will be up to me.

You are not allowed to leave until I say we go— and not even if the sky falls down!”

“Alright,” Ye Fan agreed with an easy smile.

It was still early, and they had only shopped for roughly an hour.

Ye Fan estimated that by eleven or midnight, Mo Xiaoyan would likely be tired and not up for staying out too late.

Following that, the two took the elevator back down the shopping mall and headed to the parking lot.

All the way down, Mo Xiaoyan was still clutching onto Ye Fan’s arm, which he had become accustomed to and didn’t comment on.

They drove to a high-end KTV and opened a lavishly decorated mini couples’ private room.

With various snacks, finger foods, and fruit plates served, Mo Xiaoyan even ordered ten bottles of premium red wine in one go, clearly intending to drink and sing until daylight.
