Invincible Young Master in the City
Chapter 102 - 102 098 Trying on Clothes

102: Chapter 098: Trying on Clothes 102: Chapter 098: Trying on Clothes As soon as they entered Wanda Mall, Ye Fan immediately felt that the mall was somewhat upscale, with central air conditioning throughout the whole building, and the floor so polished, it reflected the lights and casted people’s shadows.

The key was in the people walking inside—every person was dressed impeccably.

The men either looked like successful businessmen or spoiled rich second-generations, while the women were all young and beautiful.

Even the shop assistants were easy on the eyes!

The first floor primarily sold gold and silver jewelry and high-end cosmetics, so Ye Fan followed Tantai Wanrong and Qin Mengyao directly to the elevator up to the third floor.

Approaching a men’s clothing brand store, Tantai Wanrong and Qin Mengyao were helping Ye Fan find suitable clothing when Ye Fan himself walked over to the display wall and casually checked a shirt’s price.

The original price was 999 yuan, with a 15% discount!

Ye Fan frowned slightly, immediately put down the price tag, and briskly walked towards Tantai Wanrong.

“Auntie Wanrong, I don’t like the clothes here.” Walking up beside Tantai Wanrong, Ye Fan bluntly stated.

Tantai Wanrong paused from browsing, turned her head and asked, “You don’t like the style of the clothes here?

Then let’s check out another store.”

“That’s not what I mean.” Ye Fan shook his head, “It’s because the clothes here are a bit ridiculously expensive.

I don’t like clothes that are too expensive; I feel they’re restrictive and not suited to my personality.”

“Besides, I’m a pretty rugged person.

My clothes easily get torn and dirty.

These clothes, if worn by me, would probably not last six months.”

Tantai Wanrong looked seriously at Ye Fan.

Ye Fan continued, “It’s really not about the cost.

I’m thinking of buying a few outfits that are around one or two hundred yuan each.

I believe that grade of clothing would be comfortable to wear and look decent enough.”

While Ye Fan and Tantai Wanrong were talking, Qin Mengyao had already walked over and was standing by, listening.

Tantai Wanrong nodded slightly and said, “Since that’s the case, we’ll head over to Hailan Home in a bit.

But…”

She smiled briefly, then continued, “Since we’re here, we should still buy two outfits.

You don’t have to wear them daily, just save them for when you need to present a good image.

For example, the next time I introduce you to a girlfriend, you can dress up nicely; it’ll add a lot of points.”

“Alright.” Ye Fan nodded.

He wasn’t a fussy person, plus, a couple thousand yuan for clothes wasn’t a big deal for him.

Seeing Ye Fan agree so easily, Tantai Wanrong was slightly pleased, gently patting his left arm twice with her delicate hand before turning around to continue helping him choose clothes.

“Hehe, Brother Ye, let’s keep looking for clothes together.” Qin Mengyao held onto Ye Fan’s right arm with both her hands, giggling as she insistently pulled him elsewhere.

Ye Fan knew what Qin Mengyao meant, so he followed her to another display wall.

After moving away from Tantai Wanrong, Ye Fan spoke in a soft voice, “Alright, drop the act.

Is there a need to be so cautious?”

Qin Mengyao let go of Ye Fan’s arm, giggling, “If you weren’t coveting my aunt, why care about my being cautious?”

“What did you tell me Thursday night?

You turned around and asked my aunt out to buy clothes.”

Ye Fan gave a wry smile and said, “You misunderstood me.

I just wanted to find someone to accompany me to buy a few outfits.”

“Then why didn’t you call me?

My aunt is busy with work; do you really have the nerve to bother her?” Qin Mengyao said skeptically.

Ye Fan pursed his lips and replied, “I’m not familiar with you, why would I call you?

Besides, your taste is questionable.

What if you picked out some non-mainstream outfits for me?

How would I wear them?”

“You?” Qin Mengyao became irritated and suddenly stomped hard on Ye Fan’s foot.

“Hiss—”

Ye Fan inhaled sharply, bearing the pain without shouting, stepped back, and said, “Why are you stomping on people?”

“Because you deserved it.

Humph!” Qin Mengyao pretended to be haughty and turned her face away as she walked off.

Ye Fan watched Qin Mengyao’s graceful departure, muttering, “This is so bizarre.”

About three or four minutes later, Tantai Wanrong had picked out a set of clothes.

As she was about to take them over for Ye Fan to try on, Meng Yao had already swiftly intercepted her with a giggle and said, “Auntie, I’ll take the clothes over for Brother Ye to try on, and you can continue looking.”

Seeing how “harmoniously” Qin Mengyao was interacting with Ye Fan, Tantai Wanrong smiled and said, “Alright then.

I’ll pick a few more sets – this one might not fit him.”

With that, she handed the clothes to Meng Yao.

Meng Yao took the clothes, turned around, and walked toward Ye Fan, her face filled with a triumphant little smile.

Standing in front of Ye Fan, who was sitting on a lounge sofa, she said, “Stand up, let’s try on this set first.”

Ye Fan got up, and Meng Yao had already walked toward the changing rooms.

The store was quite spacious; the changing rooms were not on the same wall as the main clothing display, separated by some obstacles in between.

Stopping in front of the last empty changing room, Meng Yao turned around and handed the clothes to Ye Fan.

He took the clothes and entered the changing room, then casually locked the door.

As he locked the door, Meng Yao quickly glanced outside, then whooshed into the changing room and immediately locked the door from inside.

Looking down at Meng Yao, Ye Fan asked in confusion, “Why are you coming in here when I’m changing clothes?”

“I’m asking you,” Meng Yao said, tilting her head up and staring intently into Ye Fan’s eyes, “what did you mean earlier when you said you didn’t know me well?”

Ye Fan was embarrassed and irked that she had burst into the changing room just to ask such a trivial question.

He responded impatiently, “I misspoke earlier.

You know me very well.

Now, please leave, I need to change clothes.”

Saying that, he took a step forward to open the door and usher Meng Yao out.

Meng Yao immediately stepped back and used her back to block the door latch.

“What are you trying to do?” Ye Fan frowned.

“You’re brushing me off!” Meng Yao huffed.

Seeing the seriousness on Meng Yao’s face, Ye Fan seriously replied, “Alright, I’ll tell you earnestly, we know each other very well.

We’ve drunk together, sung karaoke together, raced cars together, and even fought together.

Is that good enough?”

“Humph, humph,” Meng Yao snorted twice, her expression softening.

“Can you leave now?” Ye Fan said, “Or are you planning to stay here and help me change?”

Suddenly, Meng Yao giggled and looked Ye Fan up and down, playfully saying, “Sure.”

Ye Fan rolled his eyes, not believing for a second that Meng Yao would really help him change, so he decided to challenge her bluff, laughing, “Haha, you agreed, then come on.”

“Really want me to help you change?” Meng Yao’s cheeks turned pink as she said.

Ye Fan felt inwardly pleased, knowing Meng Yao was about to contradict herself, and added, “Exactly.

If you help me change, it means you aren’t familiar with me.”

Meng Yao lightly bit her soft pink lip, then looked up and rolled her eyes around Ye Fan’s face before suddenly giggling, “Alright then, I’ll help you change!”

With that, she took the clothes from Ye Fan’s hands, turned around, and hung them on the wall, ready to help Ye Fan change.
