Li Man Ni stuck her tongue out at Lin Fei.

"Man Ni, I’m off now!"

Lin Fei waved goodbye to Li Man Ni.

"Fei, remember, you can’t go around talking about this!"

Li Man Ni reminded Lin Fei shyly, with her cheeks flushed.

Lin Fei said with a chuckle, patting his chest in assurance.

Lin Fei cycled away from Li Man Ni’s mountain villa quickly on his bike.

He did not hurry home but cycled towards Fengyu Town instead.

Since he had nothing better to do, he decided to go to town to buy some laundry detergent, salt, and soy sauce.

The mountain road was bumpy, full of twists and turns, uneven, and riddled with potholes. Lin Fei rode very cautiously.

Still, when he hit some especially rough patches, the bike bounced violently, giving Lin Fei quite an uncomfortable jolt.

After leaving the mountain village road and reaching the county road, Lin Fei sped up and soon arrived at Fengyu Town. He located a general store, bought detergent, salt, and soy sauce, and then started back toward the village.

As Lin Fei was about to take the turn off into the mountain village road, a white Porsche sedan suddenly came speeding around the bend.

"Roar..."

The Porsche lost control and crashed into a poplar tree off the roadside, making a loud bang.

The Porsche was going so fast and the impact was so powerful that it hit a poplar tree thick enough to require hugging to get your arms around it.

Luckily, the tree was large and sturdy enough to not break upon impact. As the front of the Porsche wedged into a large fork in the tree, it prevented the car from flipping into the river below.

Now, the Porsche came to a halt, its front half hanging in mid-air. Fortunately, the back half, being heavier, seemed to keep the situation relatively stable for the moment.

"Ahh..."

A young female driver screamed from inside the Porsche.

"Holy shit!"

Witnessing this scene, Lin Fei was also terrified. He immediately stopped his bicycle and ran to the edge of the Porsche. The female driver in the driver’s seat looked disheveled, with a pale face and sweating profusely, clearly frightened out of her wits.
