Once their baskets were full, everyone headed home to clean the mud off the mushrooms and lay them out to dry before continuing to pick mushrooms in the forest.

By noon, after three trips, everyone was exhausted.

Once all the mushrooms were laid out to dry, they returned to the main house. They turned on the electric fan to cool off and drank several big gulps of chilled aged tea.

"Ah, I’m so tired. In this weather, it’s so hot... Picking mushrooms can be deadly..."

Qin Yun sighed.

"Yeah, it’s really hot and tiring. Wanting to make money is hard work!"

Lin Fei said with a smile.

They can’t finish all they pick and are drying the leftovers. Why don’t we buy the dried mushrooms from the villagers, and then you can sell them in the city for money?"

Since they had to do more work in the afternoon, they didn’t drink any alcohol for lunch.

After lunch, Lin Fei didn’t take a nap but instead grabbed a pole balance and some burlap sacks, hopped on his motorcycle, and went out—he was off to buy mushrooms.

Qin Yun and Li Xiaoyan, with their baskets, also headed out to the forest to continue picking mushrooms.

Lin Fei, riding his motorcycle, first headed to the house of his neighbor, Li Cuixing. If Li Cuixing’s husband, Lin Hai, wasn’t home, Lin Fei could have a bit of fun with Li Cuixing.

Lin Fei rode his motorcycle up to the doorstep of Li Cuixing’s house and parked, then he walked straight into her home to find Li Cuixing resting on a lounge chair.

Lin Fei had come to pick mushrooms, stopping by his neighbour Li Cuixing’s house with the intention of having a good time with her.

In the past few days when he had been in town, he had neglected the women in the village. Now that he was back, Lin Fei wanted to take good care of them.

Last night, Lin Fei took care of Qin Yun first, leaving them both unsatisfied, then went to Wu Xueqing’s, where they had an incredibly satisfying and thorough session.
