Invincible Over the World
Chapter 106 - 106 106 I am his Laozi

106: Chapter 106: I am his Laozi 106: Chapter 106: I am his Laozi Huang Xiaolong and Marquis Fei Hou had left long ago when a cold gust swept past; Chen Li was shocked awake and hurried away.

As she passed by Liu Mu’s corpse, she stumbled over it and fell, landing face-first into the dirt.

Tears mixed with the soil on her face, creating a grimy mess.

Sobbing, Chen Li scrambled to her feet and fled, heading towards the Outer Kingdom City, just like Huang Xiaolong and Marquis Fei Hou.

Two days later.

Huang Xiaolong and Marquis Fei Hou stood before the gates of a massive city.

Unable to contain his excitement, Marquis Fei Hou thought, “Seven years have passed, finally back!”

The gates of Outer Kingdom City seemed unchanged, just as they had been before.

“Let’s go in,” Huang Xiaolong said after a moment.

Marquis Fei Hou suppressed his excitement and solemnly nodded in agreement.

The two entered the city.

As they walked through the bustling streets, following the crowd and observing the lively shops around, Marquis Fei Hou felt nostalgic.

Seven years had passed, and while Outer Kingdom City was as bustling as ever, many of the shops had changed facades, and some buildings had been renovated, making them somewhat unfamiliar.

Huang Xiaolong observed the lively streets around Outer Kingdom City and nodded to himself.

In comparison to Luotong Royal City, the Outer Kingdom City was much busier, and both its architecture and layout surpassed that of Luotong Royal City.

With two days remaining until Marquis Fei Hou’s grandson’s wedding, since they had already arrived in Outer Kingdom City, there was no rush to proceed to the Fei Residence; they walked leisurely.

More than two hours later, as it neared noon and they passed by a large restaurant, Marquis Fei Hou paused.

Turning to Huang Xiaolong with a smile, he said, “Young Master, this Grand Delight Restaurant is one of the top three restaurants in the Outer Kingdom City.

Their Fiery Fire Wine is unparalleled; it’s even better than the Snow Moon Wine from Delicious Restaurant in Luotong Royal City.

Shall we go in for a drink?”

Huang Xiaolong nodded and smiled, “Fiery Fire Wine?

Great, let’s give it a taste.”

And so, Huang Xiaolong and Marquis Fei Hou entered the Grand Delight Restaurant.

Upon entering, Huang Xiaolong looked around; the first floor was incredibly noisy, with over a hundred tables, all of them occupied.

Just then, a middle-aged man dressed like an owner hurried towards Marquis Fei Hou, his face lighting up with surprise, “Are you Marquis Fei Hou?!”

Marquis Fei Hou nodded with a smile, “Boss Chen, it’s been years!

Your restaurant is thriving even more now.”

This middle-aged man was indeed the restaurant’s owner, who Marquis Fei Hou used to visit often to drink Fiery Fire Wine; the two were old acquaintances.

“Heh, Marquis Fei Hou is joking,” laughed Boss Chen.

“It has been years, and Marquis Fei Hou seems even younger than before while I, on the other hand, have gotten much older.” Then, gesturing upstairs, he said, “Please, Marquis Fei Hou, come upstairs.

I’ll have someone arrange a seat for you!”

Marquis Fei Hou nodded, and he proceeded to the second floor with Huang Xiaolong.

The second floor was boisterously noisy as well, nearly devoid of empty seats, but the restaurant owner quickly had seats arranged for the two of them.

Shortly after Huang Xiaolong and Marquis Fei Hou sat down, the drinks and dishes were served.

Two jugs of wine were brought in; the jugs were large and accompanied by specially made cups that were fiery red, resembling molten lava.

Huang Xiaolong poured himself a cup; the aroma was intoxicating, and as the drink flowed down his throat, a spicy rush followed the sweet mellow taste, igniting a sense of fiery blood pumping through his veins, evoking a carefree pleasure.

“Excellent wine!” Huang Xiaolong exclaimed.

Huang Xiaolong and Marquis Fei Hou kept drinking cheerfully.

While they continued to enjoy their drinks, nearby patrons also started conversing.

“Did you hear?

The King himself personally appointed Yang An as a Marquis!”

“Tsk, tsk, Yang An is just twenty-one years old, right?

To be a Marquis at twenty-one, this must be a first in our Outer Kingdom.

I reckon it won’t be long before he is made a Duke!”

“Well, it’s because Yang An is the top prodigious talent in our Outer Kingdom; he reached the Ninth Stage Late Stage Peak just a year ago.

With his pace of cultivation, I believe he could break through to the Tenth Rank this year!”

“A twenty-one-year-old at Tenth Rank, too monstrous!

In a few years, Yang An will head to the Broken Blade Empire to participate in the Imperial City Battle.

With his talent, he might even have a chance to seize a spot in the top ten!”

The crowd around was bustling with discussion; on the second floor, at dozens of tables, nearly every conversation was about Yang An.

“Oh, Yang An?” Huang Xiaolong felt a stir in his heart upon hearing this.

“I didn’t expect that Yang An has already become a Marquis!” At that moment, Fei Hou sighed, “When I left, Yang An had just broken through to the Eighth Stage.”

Huang Xiaolong looked at Fei Hou.

Fei Hou explained to Huang Xiaolong, “Young Master, Yang An’s Martial Soul is the Twelfth Level Peak Roaring Sky Divine Lion, the number one monstrous talent of our Outer Kingdom.

He is currently studying at the Outer Domain Academy and might even go with the Young Master to participate in the Imperial City Battle in the Broken Blade Empire.”

“Twelfth Level Peak Martial Soul, Roaring Sky Divine Lion,” Huang Xiaolong nodded in acknowledgement.

Apart from Jiang Teng, his senior brother Chen Tianqi, and the Great Emperor of Broken Blade Empire, this was the fourth person he had heard of possessing a Super Martial Soul.

However, Jiang Teng’s Bright Holy Tiger is an Eleventh-level First-class Martial Soul, while Yang An’s talent surpasses that of Jiang Teng by quite a bit.

Huang Xiaolong and Fei Hou toasted over drinks while listening to the ongoing discussions around them.

After a while, they paid the bill and left the restaurant.

The restaurant owner offered them a half-price discount and personally saw Huang Xiaolong and Fei Hou out.

After leaving the restaurant, Huang Xiaolong and Fei Hou proceed directly to the Fei Residence.

More than an hour later, the two arrived on the main street in front of the Fei Residence.

Although it was still two days away from Fei Ming’s wedding day, the area in front of the Fei Residence’s gates was bustling with activity, filled with a continuous stream of carriages and horses.

Clearly, these were nobles coming to pay their visits and congratulations.

Standing on the street in front of the Fei Residence, Fei Hou looked at the gates of the Fei Residence, his heart unable to calm down for a long time.

As he and Huang Xiaolong approached the Fei Residence, he couldn’t contain his excitement.

However, just as Fei Hou and Huang Xiaolong were about to enter through the gates of the Fei Residence, the two guards stationed there suddenly reached out to stop them, “Who are you two, and what business do you have at the Fei Residence?”

Fei Hou was stunned, “You don’t recognize me?”

The two guards looked Fei Hou up and down, one of them laughing, “Old man, who do you think you are that we should recognize you?”

Fei Hou was taken aback, his brows knitting together.

He had left the Fei Residence seven years ago; it seemed these two guards must have been recruited during the past few years and so did not recognize him.

He turned around, looking somewhat embarrassedly at Huang Xiaolong.

He had not expected such an embarrassing incident even before entering the Fei Residence.

Huang Xiaolong smiled but remained silent; this was something only Fei Hou could resolve.

At that moment, Fei Hou said to the guard, “Call your family head out.”

The guard laughed and responded, “Calling our family head out?

Old man, you seem to be mistaken about the situation.

Our family head is not someone you can just meet whenever you want.”

“I am his father!” Fei Hou couldn’t help but retort angrily.

However, the two guards misinterpreted Fei Hou’s words as an insult toward their family head, causing their expressions to turn cold.

“Old man, are you here to cause trouble?

You’ve gone blind, not seeing where you are!”
