Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Here’s Something for You to Eat
"Shen Jie’s arrival time isn’t set in stone, so since you’re here, I think Shen Jie will probably come early today,"
Rose said with a light chuckle.
After confirming that Su Luo didn’t need anything else for the time being, Rose finally turned and left.
Su Luo watched Rose’s retreating figure and couldn’t help but remark, "Indeed, beauties always surround themselves with other beauties."
Aunt Shen was absolutely top-notch; Su Luo had rarely seen anyone more beautiful than her. Her best friend, Lin Ruoxi, was also beyond words—an impeccable ice queen and cold beauty with a matchless face and aura.
Even Rose, though not as beautiful as Aunt Shen and Lin Ruoxi, wasn’t much inferior and had a valiant charm about her that was unique.
Su Luo withdrew his gaze and returned to his room.
He checked the time and saw it was still early.
He locked the door from the inside to avoid any disturbances while he made Elixirs. Then, he used a pot to control the flames with True Qi and began mass-producing Qi Replenishing Pills.
Having plenty of experience by now, this Elixir-making session came effortlessly.
In less than four hours, Su Luo had exhausted all the herbs at his disposal.
In total, he had produced a whopping fifty-eight Qi Replenishing Pills.
By now, dusk had fallen.
Looking at his phone, Su Luo discovered that he had missed a call from Shen Qingzhi a few minutes earlier.
He had set his phone to silent mode to avoid interruptions while making Elixirs.
"Could it be that Aunt Shen has arrived?"
Su Luo’s eyes brightened as he stored all the Elixirs away, opened the door, and sure enough, there stood Shen Qingzhi outside.
She was dressed in a form-fitting long dress with high heels, exuding elegance tinged with maturity, and a hint of seductiveness showed through her refinement.
"Aunt Shen, please come in,"
Su Luo, though dazzled, did not forget the public nature of the place and quickly invited Shen Qingzhi into the room.
Shen Qingzhi strode in with long steps, her lovely eyebrows furrowing slightly, "What’s that smell?"
She had detected an unusual scent and looked at Su Luo, "I called you just now, and you didn’t answer. There was no response when I knocked at the door, either. You weren’t in here doing something sneaky, were you?"
Su Luo understood immediately and said irritably, "Knowing that you were coming, even if I were overwhelmed by lust, I would’ve surely controlled the urge and waited for you to solve it. How could I be doing anything sneaky."
Moreover, even if a man were to relieve himself, how could that be considered sneaky?
It’s perfectly normal!
Shen Qingzhi gave Su Luo a cold look, "So you want to see me just to sleep with me?"
"Of course not, I just missed you," Su Luo suddenly embraced Shen Qingzhi from behind and savored the warmth of her body and the faint fragrance of her hair.
That feeling was very satisfying for Su Luo.
Since his grandfather’s death, Su Luo no longer had any relatives, and Aunt Shen was the first woman he had been with. He saw her as his woman, not just out of desire, but he found that he truly had feelings for her.
And Shen Qingzhi had been kind to him, risking her life to save him and even now, making arrangements for him.
This made Su Luo feel an indescribable dependence on Shen Qingzhi.
However, Su Luo’s tender moment lasted less than three seconds before Shen Qingzhi interrupted coldly, "Really? If you just wanted to see me, what kind of reaction is this?"
Su Luo immediately knew what reaction Shen Qingzhi was referring to.
"Aunt Shen, I’m a normal man, still young and full of vitality, and it’s natural for my body to react when being close to you. If it didn’t, I would probably need to see a doctor," Su Luo said with a wry smile.
"If you’ve had enough hugging, let go," said Shen Qingzhi, somewhat unnaturally.
After holding Shen Qingzhi for a while and feeling content, Su Luo released her, "Aunt Shen, thank you."
Shen Qingzhi rolled her eyes at him and said icily, "Don’t thank me! Rose mentioned you asked for some cooking utensils. Were you cooking for yourself?"
"I was making Elixirs just now. But yes, I can cook too," Su Luo replied.
"Alchemy? Why does that sound so mystical?" Shen Qingzhi thought for a moment. Su Luo’s grandfather was a fortune-teller from Jiangbei, known as Su Xiazi, so it wasn’t unusual that Su Luo inherited some of his mystical ways. She didn’t dwell on it and instead asked, "Can you cook too?"
Su Luo nodded. "Not only can I cook, I’m also quite good at it."
"Perfect, I haven’t had dinner yet," Shen Qingzhi remarked.
Su Luo immediately responded, "Then I’ll make something for you to eat."
Shen Qingzhi replied irritably, "Can’t you be more serious for once? Why do you always have to make lewd jokes?"
Su Luo hurriedly explained, "I meant... I’ll go make a bowl of noodles for you to eat, not... that other kind of eating..."
The two interpretations could not have been more different.
Shen Qingzhi’s face instantly blushed, clearly misunderstanding Su Luo’s words.
"You didn’t mean you want to... you know..." Shen Qingzhi realized how strange her words sounded and corrected herself, "You didn’t mean you want to make me a bowl of noodles? All talk and no action?"
"Just wait," Su Luo said with a sly smile.
Seeing Aunt Shen display a bashful side typically associated with young girls was rare, and it excited Su Luo slightly.
Su Luo then entered the kitchen and got straight to work. After all, Rose had thought he was going to cook for himself. Along with the cooking utensils, she had also delivered some ingredients and an assortment of condiments.
Soon, Su Luo was carrying out two steaming bowls of tomato and egg noodles.
"It’s got it all—looks, aroma, and taste!"
Su Luo set the bowl of tomato and egg noodles in front of Shen Qingzhi, boasting proudly.
Shen Qingzhi scoffed, "The melon seller praises her own melons."
However, after tasting it, she stopped talking and focused on enjoying the noodles, eating with relish.
"How is it? My cooking isn’t bad, is it?" Su Luo asked.
"Not that great," Shen Qingzhi replied indifferently, yet she finished the entire bowl, leaving hardly any soup behind.
Su Luo was surprised to find that the plump, mature, and aristocratic Aunt Shen could also be so tsundere.
He was simply smitten!
"Aunt Shen, are you full now?" Su Luo inquired.
Shen Qingzhi nodded. She wasn’t just full but a bit overstuffed, as she usually didn’t eat that much.
"Now that we’ve met, I’ll be going. You just stay here for the time being and lay low," Shen Qingzhi intended to leave.
"Aunt Shen, here’s an elixir for you to take. It will ensure that you don’t fall ill for many years," Su Luo stopped her.
What he presented was naturally a Tempering Pill. Shen Qingzhi was an ordinary person, and after her body was tempered, she could stay free from illness for three to five years.
"Why do I feel like you’re really talking in riddles?" Shen Qingzhi frowned.
Su Luo said, "Aunt Shen, trust me, I would never harm you."
Shen Qingzhi hesitated for a moment but still accepted the elixir and placed it in her mouth.
Soon, Shen Qingzhi felt her body becoming sticky, as though she was sweating profusely after an intense workout.
"Aunt Shen, this is the elixir working to cleanse your meridians and cut your marrow, removing impurities and toxins from your body. It’s better than the best skincare product in the world. Go take a bath, and you’ll feel better afterward," Su Luo explained.
"Why do I suspect that you’re deliberately keeping me here to take a bath with bad intentions?" Shen Qingzhi frowned, staring at Su Luo.
Su Luo felt wronged. "I really don’t have those thoughts, I just wanted to..."
"Alright, I’ll trust you this one time." Without letting Su Luo finish, Shen Qingzhi turned and headed for the bathroom.
Soon, the sound of trickling water came from inside the bathroom. Through the frosted glass, one could vaguely see a very blurry silhouette.
"Stay calm, otherwise, I’ll really prove myself guilty of having impure intentions." Listening to the sound of the water, Su Luo felt as if his heart was being scratched by a cat’s claws, with an urge to rush in and join Aunt Shen for a love bath.
