Chapter 328: Chapter 328: When the Map is Unrolled, the Dagger is Revealed
Atop the stall stood two people, a man and a woman, who appeared to be a couple, and moreover, both were merely in their early thirties. In Su Luo’s perception, these two were actually Seventh-Grade Grandmasters.
Their strength was not weak.
However, it was unknown which Hidden Sect they originated from.
Upon hearing Su Luo’s inquiry, the man immediately said, "Everything here at our stall can be traded for either a technique or martial arts, as long as it’s at least Profound Grade Mid-Level."
"Profound Grade Mid-Level techniques or martial arts?" Su Luo was slightly astonished, not expecting that this couple was looking to trade for this.
In the Martial Arts World, whether it was techniques or martial arts, they were divided into four levels: Heaven, Earth, Profound, and Yellow, with each level further divided into Upper, Middle, and Lower Third Grades.
People of the same martial arts realm who possessed higher-ranked martial arts techniques would be able to unleash greater power, and their corresponding strength would be stronger as well.
This was quite the coincidence.
He just so happened to have the Remnant Volume of "Overlord Blade", which was also considered Profound Grade High-Level martial arts.
"I have a set of Profound Grade High-Level martial arts, though, it’s only a remnant volume," Su Luo said.
The owners of the stall, the couple, upon hearing these words, immediately turned their gaze towards Su Luo, a hint of surprise flashing in their eyes.
Truth be told, while Profound Grade techniques or martial arts weren’t exactly rare, they were still very precious and could serve as the foundation for establishing a sect. They hadn’t really held out much hope of trading for a Profound Grade technique today.
They had offered Profound Grade Mid-Level techniques merely to give the other party an opportunity to bargain.
And yet, this person had offered a Profound Grade High-Level martial arts right from the start?
Even though it was only a remnant volume, it was still Profound Grade High-Level martial arts, which instantly became attractive to the couple running the stall.
"Young man, what would you like to trade for?" the couple asked eagerly.
Through their reaction, Su Luo vaguely judged that this couple might not belong to a Hidden Sect, or else, people from a Hidden Sect would probably not be so excited over a Profound Grade High-Level martial arts remnant volume.
But whether they were from a Hidden Sect or not didn’t really affect Su Luo.
"I want those two stones," Su Luo pointed at the two stones that displayed Yin and Yang characteristics.
"These stones..." When they confirmed once again that Su Luo wanted the stones, the couple was somewhat dumbfounded, as those stones actually didn’t serve much use to martial artists; they merely took them along as free gifts.
The stall owner’s wife was just about to speak, but the husband interrupted, "These stones can be traded."
Su Luo smiled, "Friend, you wouldn’t possibly want to trade just these two stones for my Profound Grade martial arts, would you?"
"Of course not," the stall owner immediately laughed. "I always value sincerity and honesty in business! As for these stones, you name the quantity, and if I have that many, we’ll make the trade."
After looking at her husband for a moment, the stall owner’s wife also turned to Su Luo and smiled, "Yes, young man, you can name a number first, and we’ll see if we have that many."
"Ten thousand pieces!" Su Luo said with a light smile.
Ten thousand pieces?
The faces of the couple running the stall slightly changed, but then the stall owner said, "I’m sorry, young man, ten thousand pieces... we really don’t have that many. Together, the two types of stones amount to just over eight thousand pieces, about four thousand each. What do you say, are you willing to trade?"
"Over eight thousand?" Su Luo pondered for a moment and then said, "Over eight thousand pieces, that works for me."
"Then please follow us. We keep these stones at our home; we’ve only brought these two pieces with us." The couple promptly gathered the items from the stall and, taking Su Luo and Huang Qingyu, departed.
"Mr. Su, those two... seem a bit off," Huang Qingyu privately transmitted his thoughts to Su Luo using his spiritual power as a caution.
"I know," Su Luo nodded.
Huang Qingyu remained silent, simply following by Su Luo’s side.
On the way,
Su Luo learned that the couple who set up the stall both had the surname He, one was named He Wei and the other He Qinglian.
After leaving the Lotus Heart Temple,
Su Luo and Huang Qingyu followed the couple onto a carriage and drove off. Approximately half an hour later, they arrived at a sizable quadrangle dwelling in the rural suburbs.
The area it covered was fairly large.
"Brother Su, this is our home. The two types of stones you mentioned are here at our house. I’ll go get them for you now,"
said He Wei.
He Qinglian then led Su Luo and Huang Qingyu into the house, where she poured tea for both of them,"Please have some tea."
"Thank you," Su Luo took the tea and placed it on the table.
Huang Qingyu did the same.
Seeing that Su Luo and Huang Qingyu had not drunk their tea, He Qinglian slightly furrowed her brows. At this moment, He Wei entered the living room with a box in each hand.
"Brother Su, each of these boxes contains a hundred pieces of stone."
He Wei opened the two boxes.
Immediately, Su Luo sensed a strong surge of Yang energy and a rich Yin aura, each emanating from the stones within the boxes.
After that,
He Wei continued to bring over six more boxes filled with stones exuding intense Yang energy and Yin aura, making a total of eight boxes, all laid out before Su Luo’s eyes.
"Wife, get me a glass of water, I’m so thirsty," He Wei promptly said.
He Qinglian quickly poured tea and handed it to He Wei, who, lifting his teacup towards Su Luo and Huang Qingyu, said,"I’ll use this tea in place of wine to toast the two of you, in hopes that our trade is successful."
"Certainly," Su Luo and Huang Qingyu both smiled, each raising their teacup and downing it in one go.
Seeing this, both He Wei and He Qinglian smiled.
He Wei did not hurry to move more Yin Stones and Yang Stones; instead, he sat down for a bit and said,"Brother Su, these are one-eighth of the total. Please check the goods first. If you’re satisfied with their quality, then allow me to have a look at your Profound Grade High-Level martial arts, shall we?"
"No problem, I’ll recite a passage for you," Su Luo said calmly, seated,"The Blade represents the way of the overlord; with heaven and earth as the guide, hidden in formlessness, dominant within..."
He Wei and He Qinglian, the couple, listened, almost entranced.
However, Su Luo only recited a part and then stopped.
Still, He Wei and He Qinglian were very certain that the Remnant Volume of "Overlord Blade" Su Luo recited was definitely Profound Grade martial arts and, most likely, of the High-Level kind.
"Alright, continue moving these Yin Stones and Yang Stones; once you’ve gathered eight thousand, I will hand over the Remnant Volume of "Overlord Blade" to you," said Su Luo.
Only,
when He Wei returned, he did not bring more of the two types of stones Su Luo needed. Instead, he brought paper and pen and dropped all pretense, saying directly,
"Not to deceive you both, we have already poisoned the tea you just drank. Even a Great Grandmaster, after being poisoned, can only be at our mercy. If you do not wish to die here today, then write down the complete "Overlord Blade" and hand it over to us."
