Chapter 372: Chapter 372 - The expected confrontation
I quickly reappeared at the small plaza in the middle of the palace garden after leaving me and Laerad’s little love hut. As I opened my eyes, what welcomed me were the four supposed fiancés that were glaring at me earlier during the first meet and greet with Dimitri.
They seemed to have unanimously decided to stake out here at the plaze and not leave till I come back from my visit at Laerad’s place. I could only imaging how suprised they must have been when Dimitri decided to return on his own earlier and had to wait amidst their irritation for my return.
I looked at each of them for brief second or two then started walking forward to exit the plaza, making my way towards the palace. I have only taken a few steps when Luxiel called out to me, "You know we are all here waiting for you to talk to us, right? Where are you planning to go?!"
I stopped walking but did not look back. I replied in a nonchalant manner, "For one, I don’t want to talk while standing in the middle of this plaza. Second, I don’t mind talking with everybody but I want to be in a better place while doing it. You pick the place and just let me know once you have decided. I will be busy in the next couple of days since I am on a honeymoon despite all this drama."
I continued walking leisurely, passing through the beautiful palace gardens. From the plaza, I heard Altair’s creepy chuckle as well as Samir’s loud and exasperated sigh. From the weight of the footsteps, it should be Luxiel stomping all of his irritation and annoyance on the innocent grounds of the plaza. As for Touya, I heard him click his tongue then also sigh heavily for the first time since I met him which was quite rare for someone who despises showing his emotions.

Conversations at the Teleportation Plaza
Once Luna was out of their sights, the four mystiques couldn’t help but reveal the real expressions on their faces. None of them was feeling calm at the moment. Another marriage means another man they had to compete with for attention and had no choice but to co-exist with in the future.
They clearly heard from Dimitri as he was telling his stories happily to Ioannis that it was a marriage between her and "Aurum and the others". Does that mean she married multiple husbands in once go while she was away from Eineos? Where does that put them in the list then when even the main consort position has already been assigned?!
Samir inhaled deeply as he spoke with a helpless tone, "She indeed say that we are simply together to work on rebuilding Eineos. She never showed me any interest even before she woke up all of you. She treated me like an employee, not even an acquaintance even after several months of being with her. She has drawn a very clear line from the start so it is useless for us to argue with her about anything."
Luxiel, finally showing his fiery temper stomped his feet even more angrily while cursing under his breath. He was angry and very jealous. No man wants his woman to accept more men no matter how long they are already together. What more if the man was in his situation, someone who is nothing but a fiancé in name only.
Touya who rarely spoke his mind, suddenly spoke to everyone, his voice no longer gently and calm like it used to, "I already told all of you. She doesn’t care about what we are all feeling or what we think about her life decisions. We are technically strangers to her that were simply branded as fiancés. You all know that title doesn’t hold any weight for her based on how she has been interacting with us from the start."
Luxiel scoffed and argued with Touya as he said with gritted teeth, "Are you saying that because she doesn’t care, we also shouldn’t? Are you fine that she is just keeping us because we are useful? With how grim things are looking right now, we will all stay as titular fiancés for the rest of our lives! If you are okay with that, I am not!"
Altair’s creepy laugh echoed in the plaza as he said, "You three never fail to amuse me even back then! I don’t know if it was because we have slept for too long but it seems that you have forgotten that none of us wanted the engagement back then but now you are all acting so aggrieved and bullied since she married a man she liked for herself. We all wanted to just die with everybody else during the war rather than being put to sleep and marry when we wake up. This is just the best joke I have had in centuries!"
Altair’s filter less tirade shook the other three men and they stared blankly at him. Taking advantage of how stunned they were when slapped with the bare truth, he teleported straight away where Luna was to tell her that he wanted to talk to her in private.
The reactions of the three guys were a bit delayed and before they knew it, Altair has teleported some place else. They all cursed under their breaths as to how Altair was so untruthful and cunning. It turns out that he wanted to be the first to privately talk to her by distracting them through saying that none of them wanted the engagement!
None of them realized that everything Altair had just said were facts. He did not lie about anything. Only the cunning man was able to realize that all their feelings about the engagement have changed the moment they met Luna.

After leisurely walking for a few minutes, I finally reached the palace, went in and sat comfortably in the living room. I was just enjoying the silence of finally being alone when two plump infants suddenly appeared out of thin air and landed in a bouncy manner on my lap at the same time. I panicked and immediately hugged the both of them before they could roll to the floor.
I looked at the two children who were giggling to their hearts content and at the same time, I heard hurried footsteps coming down the stairs. When I looked to the direction where the sound was coming from, I saw Ioannis who was in hurry but when he saw that the twins are with me, he sighed in relief.
Before I could ask, he started explaining, "I have no idea how they learned that. It just happened one day about a week ago. They disappeared from their cribs. I was so panicked and I was running around the palace like I was about to lose my mind. I totally forgot to use my mana to sense them first and when I finally stopped and tried it, it turns out that they were just in the newly built playroom down the hallway from our bedroom. When I opened the door, I saw them playing happily as if they did not almost kill their father from worry."
Ioannis finally approached the area where I was sitting, sat beside me and leaned on my shoulder weakly. I leaned my cheek on his head and rubbed my face on it. He asked softly, "What happened with Dimitri? Why did he come back to the palace alone?"
I replied with a soft voice, "He requested for some time alone so I sent him back first. I talked about some important things with Laerad too. Dimitri asked for the truth so I told him that there were other children who are about to be born to me. It started with Laerad, seeing he’s obviously pregnant and all then I had to tell him about Kayden, the other mystiques and those orbs in the room of beginnings too."
Ioannis hummed in understanding and murmured, "That is indeed a lot to take in. I guess I was just so open to anything back then. In my mind, the only thing that mattered was that I have to be agreeable and obedient so you will keep me with you. I still cried and felt angry back then but I am not brave enough to ask for personal time. I was scared that you would really leave me here in Eieneos and go some place else."
I chuckled and replied, "Why would I leave you here all alone? It is our honeymoon at that time and besides, my parents were here at that time so you weren’t technically alone."
He bumped my arm with his shoulder and scolded me a bit, "That’s what makes it even more scary! What if they question me about what I did for you to leave me behind?"
Before I could answer, I heard a cough and an "excuse me" from one corner of the living room. As I looked, Altair was standing there watching me with the twins on my lap and Ioannis leaning on my shoulder with a glint of amusement in his eyes.
He spoke immediately, "Sorry to interrupt but this is kind of important. Luna can I talk to you in private. My chosen place is my private residence in the Casimir territory. Can we leave now before the other three guys appear?"
I chuckled a bit but still nodded my head. I placed the twins on Ioannis’ lap as my main consort stared at Altair as if he is the greatest nuisance in the world for interrupting our time together. Altair gave his usual smirk and nod to Ioannis and the guy simply looked away, not feeling a shred of guilt at all. I only shook my head on how far we still have to go for everyone to be able to co-exist under the same roof.
They are already like this even when I haven’t officially married any of these four fiancés of mine. I can only hope that the days ahead will be better and more peaceful than it is now.
As Altair saw that I gave the twins to Ioannis, he walked quickly towards me in large strides. He grabbed my hand just in time as the the front door of the palace burst open with a bang due to the other three guys’ pushing it with no care. The last thing I heard was the startled cries of the twins and their father. Amidst all the sudden chaos, Altair successfully whisked me away to the Casimir territory with a very timely teleportation.
