Chapter 365 - 365 - End of the Freshman Year

The end of an academic year in the Academe of Gnosis has always been a huge event not only for the students but the institution itself. It may be just the end of a year for me but for the others students, it marks the end of their stay here and the start of their lives as a working citizen. The women would also be required to set up and manage their own households and families either with their birth family's support or with their own abilities.

For the freshmen students which technically includes me and the others that were brought here, it was a crucial time for us since the academe will finally give us our batch rank based on the academe points we have saved so far. This ranking is like a sneak peak of our possible ranking by the time we graduate at the end of our second year here. The amount of our academe points will also decide how much monetary support we will receive from the Athanoviya government and the academe's management once we step out to the real world.

The academe points according to the information in the booklet I got from the admissions office before, can be earned through various ways. It includes the points you earn from attending and completing classes, passing exams, getting certified for certain professions or training, earning money legally while outside the academe (includes the money you get from the immersions or even part time jobs) as well as building a household and adding members to it.

This world encourages polyamory and has been trying all possible ways to push for more children to be born each year. In this light, the academe uses the academe point system to encourage behaviors that would result to that final goal and also as their support for the rules of this world. The booklet has a long list of both simple and even some controversial activities that a student can do to earn points which was tallied weakly. I guess, the registration bracelet that all students wear from their first day in the academe or maybe the existence of some hidden spell that the grandmaster casted on all the stufents help this institution monitor all activities and then assign points accurately.

In a nutshell, a female student can get extra points through activities she does that have somewhat a connection to a man. It can be either by kissing or hugging someone, marrying a man, having children born between such union and even taking official concubines as well. The attendant assigned to the student can also help their master to earn more points if they prefer, that is if they have a good relationship, I guess.

As for me, I have already opted not to take any points that Arthur has earned from the tasks he has completed from the academe. I have also been making sure not to ever miss giving him his regular salary of academe points every end of the week for completing chores and serving my husbands in my villa. What he doesn't know is that I also regularly add a little bit of extra to his account to make sure he beats the challenge I gave him at the end of my second year here. You can say that it was just like how one can give tips to servers in modern day restaurants for a job well done.

You can say that it was just me wanting for him to learn how to be a better person but I do intend to accept him in the end. If he did not have enough to buy his own freedom, I will gladly cover any missing amounts so I can bring him with me. It is a secret though for now and I am honestly curious if he could do it or not.

As for the ranking, I honestly do not care much about it. If possible, I wouldn't even want to include my name on the list. I am also not interested in telling the whole school, how many academe points have I earned so far but I do not have a choice because I am an officially registered student of Gnosis.

Since I wanted to live quietly, I thought of requesting for a favor from the grandmaster. Though I could not totally remove my name, I requested to conceal a huge part of my academe points so that I would appear as a regular student who just ranks somewhere in the middle, not excellent but also not too shabby.

As for the points, I am not able to hide the fact that I already have Ioannis and Dimitri as my husbands and that I have Arthur as my attendant. Everybody witnessed as Ioannis' belly grew bigger over the months that he was staying here before so I can't hide having children with my first husband. I only intend to claim I only have one child though. As for the other husbands that were staying outside the academe, I chose to hide their existence for now for privacy and safety purposes.

I was quite brave to ask for this favor since my in-laws are technically the government in this empire and I also have the academe grandmaster on my side. As a result, I did not face any difficulty at all in getting the approval for my request for partial concealment of my information.

As for the points I got from the classes I have completed and the certificates I have earned, I intend to be transparent with that. As for the intimate activities I did with my men, that also would be added up. I couldn't help but wince though as it will definitely tell everyone who would see it that I was extremely active on the intimacy side of things.

I have to appear truthful for most part to at least show the other students that the ranking is perfectly fair. All students will have their points shown on a board and if someone clicks on the name of the person, a breakdown of where their points come from will be available for the public to see. Once they see mine, I think I will be getting a lot of looks that show interest, disgust, envy or even knowing looks for the whole of next year. That would really be uncomfortable but I do not have a choice.

All of Ioannis' unused points were also given to me with his consent. That would also be included in the academe points breakdown under my name. I also allowed the academe to show the amount of money I earned throughmy adventure work. I concealed my deal with the magic tower, the existence of my corporation (Halcyon) as well as the patents under my name for all the things I have created and registered.

The number of freshman students for this year is actually high. Though only 27 came from earth, the academe also accepts enrollees from the empire as well as the territories and kingdoms that are considered friends or allies. This made the current batch to be almost 300 people in total.

When the semester finally ended and the announcement was made, I got rank 169 which is somewhere in the middle range so I am quite happy. I tried to check the details of the academe points under my name and I couldn't help but cover my face with my hand.

Dimitri wanted to check it but I pulled him away from the board and distracted him by mentioning about our plans to visit Arista during the semestral break. We have also agreed to do pur official honeymoon at that time too.

My little distraction work and he forgot to check my details. It doesn't mean that the other students and the other people from my villa did not check it out though.

I quickly sneaked away from the crowd and went back to the villa with Dimitri. Once inside the villa, I sat down on one of the comfy chairs in the living room. Dimitri watched me in confusion and asked, "Now, can you tell me why you did not want me to see your academe points?"

I looked at him with a smile and answered mysteriously, "Let us just say that the details there aren't real. I can't discuss it with you as of the moment but I'll tell you once we are in Arista. Would that be fine?"

Dimitri nodded his head in understanding. Right after our short conversation, the other people in my villa arrived with confused faces as well. Once they are in through the door, they all looked at me for a few seconds. Yren couldn't take it anymore and asked, "Shouldn't you be in rank 1, my wife? I am quite sure your points would even be enough to let you graduate early than others."

I smiled at the others and answered, "It is already enough that all of you know my real rank. It was good that you immediately noticed that the ranking information under my name is not true. Well, let's just say that I don't want the other students to be disheartened with the discrepancy in my academe points to the rest of the freshman student population."
