Chapter 341 - 341 - Back from the Honeymoon

The less than two weeks that Kayden and I stayed in Eieneos went by quite fast. We did stay in the honeymoon suite most of the time much to the dismay of the other mystiques in the palace. I also made two more deposits of essences in the room of beginnings for both from me and husband number two due to all that.

Once the scheduled time to leave came, we teleported back to Hoffen City and straight inside Kayden's room in the Moonlight Inn. We were just in time for lunch on a busy Monday. My father-in-law immediately felt our presence and welcomed us with a huge smile on his face. It was then accompanied by a tight hug for each of us as if we were away for a very long time.

It may be almost three weeks in Eieneos but we were only away for less than three days in human realm time. He could just be happy that I made everything official for his son on my side of the family too.

I first brought Kayden to the restaurant to have lunch since we can't let the pregnant drama queen go hungry. As we ate lunch, Kayden kept scrunching his nose as if everything in the restaurant stinks. It was quite noticeable too how his preferences for food have changed.

Don't get me wrong. He has always been picky with the food he ate. It was just that this time it may have doubled. As expected, since the pregnancy period is shorter compared to humans with only 6 months to complete the full term, his pregnancy symptoms started quite early too.

I simply catered to each and every whim of Kayden as if I was used to it. I only gave him food that he feels like eating and put away anything that he said stinks too much.

My father-in-law was looking at Kayden and I from across the table with a lot of confusion. He did not ask any questions though since we are in a public place. He knew that some conversations have to be done behind closed doors for utmost secrecy.

After lunch, my father-in-law almost ran up the stairs while calling for me and Kayden to hurry up. We went straight to Kayden's room and my father-in-law closed the door with a bang. He even made sure it was locked securely so that nobody will disturb us.

I chuckled at all his antics. They are really father and child. No doubt about it.

I casted a spell silently to soundproof the room and avoid those from the outside from entering whether it was via teleportation or through the power of the mind. Once everything was set up, I nodded at my father-in-law and said, "Kayden will tell you the whole story."

Kayden slowly turned his head towards me with widened eyes. He should have never thought that I would push all of the storytelling on to him. Well, he's his own father so he better deal with all the upcoming questions. My father-in-law can be quite gossipy and he loved very detailed stories so this may take some time.

After about two hours or so of listening to the never-ending storytelling of the father and son, the gossips have finally ended. As expected, my father-in-law couldn't help but utter green jokes here and there making his own son very embarrassed. As for me, I pretended to be invisible and did not react to any of them.

After making sure that Kayden is already inside his room and resting comfortably, I finally had to bid him my goodbyes. My classes in the academe are from Tuesdays till Fridays. Living outside the academe is also not allowed for students so I promised more frequent visits instead. I bribed him a bit about bringing any food he wanted the next time I come.

Kayden nodded and reluctantly let me go although his eyes are beginning to tear up. I gave him a tight hug and a gentle kiss on the lips. I then teleported back to my villa inside the academe.

Upon appearing inside the villa, it was eerily quiet and the lights were dim. It is the middle of the afternoon so none of the other inhabitants have come back from their classes and tasks.

I went straight to my room for some peace and quiet. I casted a barrier around the room to make sure no one suddenly teleports or sends me telepathic messages for the next few hours.

For once in a very long while, I was able to have a full sleep of 8 hours. It was something that I wasn't able to do for so long since my brain just couldn't stop thinking. The sleep has lifted my spirits by quite a lot and now I am hungry.

When I went out of my room, only about 2 hours have passed and it is still an hour off before dinner. I still have the house all to myself so I opted to start cooking instead. I haven't done this for quite a while.

Before I knew it, I have cooked an impressive spread of dishes that filled the dining table. I have the same inventions installed in the house as the ones I placed in the community kitchen so I am not afraid of anything from spoiling if we are not able to eat them all.

Just as I finished cooking the last dish, Arthur arrived in a hurry since he is the official cook of the house. He was so preoccupied about dinner planning that he did not notice me peaking at him from the kitchen.

As he closed the main door after entering in a hurry, he started removing his outer clothing one by one until only his inner clothes are left. He must be planning to change into more appropriate clothes for kitchen duties.

I thought he would change the rest of hus clothes in his own room but even before he reached there, he ended up only wearing his measly underwear. He went in his room for barely 2 minutes and when he came out, he is already fully dressed.

He was mumbling and planning what to cook as he walked with his head down towards the kitchen. When he finally looked up, he saw me staring at him from the kitchen entrance with a smirk on my face. His eyes widened slowly, his face blushed then he fell on the floor in surprise. He stuttered as he asked, "When did you- Did you see- Why-"

Though none of his sentences were completed, I perfectly understood what he was trying to ask. I smiled at him and answered, "I have been here even before you came home. I saw everything. You were in sich a hurry that I did not have the time to announce my presence."

He nodded his head absentmindedly but still stood up and walked slowly towards the kitchen. He washed all the utensils, pots and pans that I used which is quite easy since I put some magical devices in the kitchen for that. I watched him as he busied himself with the cleaning while I sat on one of the chairs in the dining area.

Arthur was quick and he finished cleaning in under 10 minutes. Since there was nothing else to do, he had no choice but to sit on one of the dining chairs too. He chose the one which was several seats away from me though.

I couldn't help but chuckle and teasingly asked him, "Are you so scared of me that you had to sit so far away? I have seen everything on your body before."

He gulped loudly then coughed a bit to cover his embarassment. He replied with a shaky voice, "At that time, I was being punished then. My connection with you is different now."

I just smiled and stared at him for a few seconds until he felt uncomfortable. I added, "Our relationship is indeed different. Another thing that changed is that your body has become more muscular than last time."

His face reddened again and he responded, "I am now trying to win you over so I had to improve myself. I did not mean it! I know that it would seem like I am seducing you if I show you my naked body."

I laughed out loud at his answer. It is indeed true that since he is trying to get accepted as my husband, him showing his body may be misconstrued as an act to seduce.

Just as Arthur ended his sentence with the phrase "show you my naked body", all the other inhabitants of the house came through the door. It was definitely not the type of sentence you want others to hear from another man talking to their wife.

I saw Aurum's eyes widen as he looked at Arthur accusingly and then towards me in an irritated manner. Dimitri on the other hand just walked in as if nothing happened. He surely heard the whole conversation and not just the last phrase due to his keen senses.

Surprisingly, the prince of drama just breathed deeply and simply sat on one of the chairs in the dining area. Before any arguments could start, Arthur hurriedly told the whole context of our conversation and what happened earlier.

As the whole story ended, the eyes of Aurum still looked at me accusingly. Helios, Calyx, Yren and Xenos gave me a surprised look. Dimitri was trying to keep himself from laughing. As for Arthur, he was blushing like a tomato.

It was Yren who couldn't help but utter a side comment as he said, "I did not know you have a hobby of asking men to strip in front of you, my wife."

I couldn't help but burst out laughing as I answered, "I don't have such a hobby. Most of the men I meet remove their clothes without me telling them to do so."

Aurum dismissed the topic and said that we should just start eating dinner. I bet his gossipy nature wanted to ask how many does the word "them" pertain to.
