Chapter 491: Chapter 491: He’s Feeding My Sister the Enchantment Soup Again_1

Ariel received a phone call from Bai Xiaosheng, and when she heard that Ron Team was still reluctant and resistant to working with Kelson, her heart chilled.

If it had been another boss, they might have forced the employees to collaborate for the sake of that ten million euros.

But Bai Xiaosheng wouldn’t do that, as he had both an employment relationship and a friendship with Ron.

Moreover, Bai Xiaosheng valued relationships very highly, even more so than money.

It seemed that this cooperation was likely to evaporate into nothing...

Ariel sighed.

In truth, they were willing to spend ten million euros to buy data, not only to facilitate cooperation with that company in UH Country but also to strengthen ties with Bai Xiaosheng and to further repair the relationship with Ron Team.

In the future, everyone would have deeper cooperation.

In light of long-term cooperation, the current ten million euros really meant little.

But unexpectedly, they were still unable to sway Ron and his people.

Just as Ariel felt hopeless, Bai Xiaosheng shifted the conversation and actually told her that he had a way to resolve the differences and disputes between the two parties.

"Sheng, what can you do?" Ariel couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise.

She had immense respect for Bai Xiaosheng’s intellect, even candidly admitting to her brother that Bai Xiaosheng was superior to her.

Kevin agreed with this as well.

Bai Xiaosheng would never boast or talk big—if he said he had a way, then the feasibility of this method must be very high!

"This method might require you to spend a bit more," Bai Xiaosheng detailed over the phone to Ariel.

"Okay, I understand now! I can’t believe I didn’t think of it!" Ariel was excited, "No, even if I had thought of it, actually, without you mediating, it wouldn’t have been as effective! Thank you!"

On the other end of the phone, Bai Xiaosheng laughed, "How far we can go, we can only do our best and leave the rest to fate. I hope both you and I can have less discord and more amicable cooperation!"

"Okay!" Ariel replied with a single word, yet it seemed to contain all her emotions.

After hanging up the phone, Bai Xiaosheng returned to his desk and leisurely began eating his midnight snack, seemingly lost in thought as well.

"Speaking of which, I might soon need Kelson’s help to accelerate the work progress for Zhongjing Media. I hope the cooperation will be pleasant this time," Bai Xiaosheng muttered to himself, then lowered his head and started eating heartily.

When Bai Xiaosheng and Ariel talked on the phone, it was nearly eleven o’clock at night on his side. In Ariel’s city, it was seven in the morning.

She and her brother were not in Europe, but in Seattle, where they had a branch company and a villa.

When Ariel called Bai Xiaosheng, she was sitting at the dining table with gleaming cutlery and clean plates in front of her, not yet having breakfast.

Another set was laid opposite her, for Kevin, who had not come downstairs yet.

Lately, Kevin had also been extremely busy, getting up at five in the morning and dealing with some work first.

Ariel had just hung up the phone when Kevin came downstairs, stretching and yawning.

He was already dressed and ready to head to the company after eating.

The servant brought breakfast, and Ariel ordered plenty.

As Kevin sat down and rubbed his face, he saw Ariel across from him cutting sausages with a knife and fork, relishing her meal. Her plate was filled with grilled tomatoes, fried eggs, sausages, bacon, tomato-sauced beans, fried potato chunks, and a Danish pastry.

A pure English breakfast.

"You’re eating quite a bit, you must be in a good mood today," Kevin said, a bit surprised, as he sipped his coffee.

Ariel raised an eyebrow elegantly placing a bite of grilled sausage in her mouth to chew, "Your appetite would be as good as mine if things were about to be resolved."

Kevin almost sprayed out his coffee and quickly wiped his mouth with a napkin, asking urgently, "What do you mean? What are you talking about?!"

"I called Bai Xiaosheng," Ariel said.

"What, he convinced the Ron Team to provide us with data and market reports?" Kevin asked, his excitement intermingled with surprise.

"Not yet," Ariel shook her head.

"Not yet? Then what are you so happy about...," Kevin suddenly felt a bit disheartened.

There was a deep conflict between the Ron Team and them; in his view, it was something that wouldn’t be resolved in a short time. If it couldn’t be resolved, then not only this time, but they could also forget about any future collaboration.

Such an excellent team had recently published a global data report on Tengyun Network. The report was just the tip of the iceberg, yet it shocked the industry and even sparked considerable conversation in Europe.

Many big companies regretted not having discovered them earlier to bring them under their wing.

After recognizing the true value of the Ron Team, Kevin regretted it so much his guts turned green.

If he had known earlier, he would have done everything possible to secure the team.

Now, man’s plans are inferior to those of heaven. The Ron Team went to the East and ended up in Bai Xiaosheng’s hands, bearing a grudge for what they had done.

If it weren’t for Bai Xiaosheng, they could’ve gone all-in, using drastic measures to force the Ron Team to hand over what they wanted!

If it weren’t for Bai Xiaosheng, with a different boss, as long as promising benefits, it would have been entirely possible to make them get the Ron Team to do their bidding.

Bai Xiaosheng, whom they couldn’t bypass, was a guy with considerable influence and one that placed great value on loyalty; once you angered him, you really didn’t know what would happen.

In Zhongjing of the East, Chen Jiuzheng had suffered setbacks time and again, and the Zhongjing Media General Manager, Song Changkong, even lost his position.

When Kevin heard about it, he genuinely took a sharp intake of breath.

Now, with Bai Xiaosheng being the general manager of their biggest Eastern partner, Zhongjing Media, he felt an added sense of awe.

"Ten million euros of goodwill couldn’t sway them, huh? It seems this time, we can’t pin our hopes on the Ron Team. Otherwise, we should look for partners in UE Country or America. But those people, they’re nothing but vampires!" Kevin muttered dejectedly, fiercely cutting his bacon with his knife and fork.

This time, their collaboration with UH Country was more about strategy than making money, but that didn’t mean they were willing to pour too much into it and be caught in a trap.

"Bai Xiaosheng is a very good boss; he respects his employees’ opinions a lot," Ariel said.

"Yes, so respectful, he doesn’t even want to earn money," Kevin muttered.

"But he’s also my friend!" Ariel’s beautiful eyes sparkled with a touching light as she spoke.

"And then what, my sister..." Kevin drawled lazily.

"He taught me a method," Ariel said with a smile, "If we succeed on our end, perhaps the conflict with the Ron Team might be resolved! Not just this time, even future cooperation would be much simpler!"

"What!" Kevin had been about to eat his bacon but put it down again.

His face was full of surprise as he urged Ariel in a very rushed tone, "What exactly is the method, come on, tell me!"

"In our eyes, business is cruel, one can resort to any means to achieve the end! But actually, if you think about it the other way around, there’s another way!" Ariel said mysteriously, "Love can dissolve all."

Kevin squinted, his face lined with frustration.

Bai Xiaosheng, what the hell, have you been feeding my sister your love potion again?!
