"Manager Bai, I went to confront Zhou right away," the project supervisor said angrily. "He just ridiculed me. They had the numbers, and I was alone; I couldn’t argue with them and had to move on to the next prospect!"

The man in his forties sighed deeply.

Originally, he had planned to work hard on this matter, to not let down Bai Xiaosheng’s previous protection of him, and to show Assistant Qian and Mr. Wang that the people in their project were doers.

Who would have expected such an unlucky start!

Bai Xiaosheng fell silent for a moment before suddenly asking, "Does this Chen Daya’s construction team have any sort of backing?"

He always felt that the whole affair smelled fishy.

The project supervisor slapped his thigh, "I was just thinking, I needed to discuss this with you! I’ve been running around half the day hearing that Zhou’s construction team is backed by Xiangdong Group! How unlucky are we to have picked people from Xiangdong!"

Xiangdong Group had been contending with Century Construction for two or three years, and had suppressed them multiple times, which was widely known.
