Inheritance of Two Trillion
Chapter 1247 - 1204: What the Hell!

Chapter 1247: Chapter 1204: What the Hell!

An Zaiyi watched Lin Weiwei stride away, her figure svelte and her waist swaying like a willow branch in the wind.

His heart couldn’t resist a tickle of delight.

"Once that Bai Xiaosheng is completely ruined and out of the picture, I must win over that wench and have her work as my assistant! Then we’ll see how close she gets to me... If I do well enough this round, would Sir Shen and the others reward me with something? It wouldn’t be too much to ask for, would it?"

An Zaiyi was quite pleased with himself as he took another hard look at Lin Weiwei’s retreating figure before withdrawing his gaze and pushing through the door.

Before entering, An Zaiyi took special care to adjust his emotions and facial expression.

In light of Lin Weiwei’s "reminder," he felt that he should appear deeply aggrieved and exhausted, perhaps even somber.

After all, he had gone out to scout for information on behalf of everyone.

Upon his entry, the group of Affairs Officers quite predictably flocked around him.

"Old An, did you find out anything?!"

"What’s the word from the other groups, what do they say?!"

"Just now, Assistant Lin came to tell us that there will be a meeting soon, and Senior Affairs Officer Sheng said he’d resolve our issues. What do you think?!"

"I have no idea what plan Senior Affairs Officer Sheng might come up with..."

...

Everyone was chattering with many questions.

An Zaiyi cleared his throat gravely twice, raised his hand, and gestured for silence.

"Besides us, the situation for the other groups is just as bad, if not worse. I’ve heard that another five Affairs Officers have been punished by headquarters, that’s thirty people in total now! It’s like one-fourth to one-fifth of our entire number!" An Zaiyi spoke with a heavy tone, "And that’s just in two days! This time, the headquarters is really out to discipline us harshly!"

To tell the truth, those last five were added by An Zaiyi’s own suggestion to Shen Peishen.

But, these fools here would never know!

An Zaiyi watched the expressions on their faces.

After he spoke, the others’ faces immediately turned quite ugly.

An Zaiyi snickered to himself, feeling a rush of triumph.

"This time, Senior Affairs Officer Sheng has called us for a meeting, and I suppose it’s an attempt to settle this matter, but I can’t think of how! I’ve heard that until now, he has not reached an agreement with headquarters, or my guess is, he has not spoken with them at all. If he had, would the follow-up punishments still be happening? At the very least, they should be paused. Don’t you agree?"

An Zaiyi was gauging everyone’s emotions to see if their anger was still boiling.

Expressions of shock and fury surfaced on their faces.

It seems the rage is still alive and well!

Excellent!

Since Bai Xiaosheng has convened us, let’s go and see what his plan is!

Then, if we find any slip-ups in his words, I can lead the charge in rebuking him!

And just like that, my job here would be done!

An Zaiyi felt exquisitely smug internally but maintained a serious demeanor, "However, we should still hear him out first, and if when the time comes, Senior Affairs Officer Sheng can’t give us a satisfactory response, then if we’re not content, it’s not too late to make a reasoned argument!"

An Zaiyi thought it was best not to constantly spread discontent about Bai Xiaosheng; it was essential to appear neutral!

In doing so, he believed his persuasiveness would be greater.

Being so calculated made An Zaiyi feel clever.

The greatest success for a "traitor" is achieving their aim undetected!

"Before this, I had no idea that I had the potential to be a spy!"

An Zaiyi couldn’t help but silently praise himself.

In a blink of an eye, it was the time Lin Weiwei had informed them about.

An Zaiyi accompanied the crowd toward Bai Xiaosheng’s office.

That place, which had once been almost completely Han Hefei’s private space, was well-equipped with diverse rooms—fitness, reading, working—there was more than one meeting room.

After taking the elevator up, An Zaiyi and the others discovered Lin Weiwei waiting by the elevators, joined by people from two other groups, totaling thirty to forty individuals.

Thankfully, the Shenhe Building was grand in design with an expansive layout, and Han Hefei’s floor had an open elevator area connected to a small atrium – it could fit a crowd, not just dozens but hundreds of people.

"Everyone please wait a moment, and once everyone is here, we’ll head over together," Lin Weiwei explained.

An Zaiyi didn’t play any games and exchanged a meaningful glance with the "insiders" from those two groups before quieting down.

Yu Shuli, Zeng Yiran was also among the crowd, giving An Zaiyi an indifferent look.

An Zaiyi sneered inwardly.

"You’re about to be fired, so what are you acting so high and mighty for! When I hold a high position in the company, enjoying the best of everything, and you? At best, you’d be scraping by with a petty job at some small company outside, worse off than an Affairs Assistant! Pah! Serves you right for siding with Bai Xiaosheng! Clueless fools!"

Among those waiting, the individuals who had received punishment notices from the company were all looking troubled and anxious, talking amongst themselves.

The consolation offered by others didn’t carry an aloof and carefree attitude, as they knew the next could very well be them!

A somber mood pervaded, with hints of fear, anxiety, and confusion in people’s eyes.

They were helpless about both the present and the future.

Even if there was a resolution this time, could they still stand by Bai Xiaosheng afterward?

Following this ordeal, many had already made a reluctant and guilty choice in their hearts...

In future, it would be best to be neutral and self-protective.

For Shen Peishen and his ilk, this was undoubtedly welcome news.

After waiting for barely ten minutes, everyone had arrived.

Lin Weiwei led them straight to a place.

An Zaiyi squeezed to the front, closely following behind Lin Weiwei.

Seeing the direction they were headed, An Zaiyi exclaimed in surprise, "Aren’t we going to Sheng’s Senior Affairs Officer’s office?"

"The temporary office of the Senior Affairs Officer Sheng may seem large, but it still feels small with so many people standing. This time we’re heading to the conference rooms, one large and one small, which should be enough," Lin Weiwei explained to him.

Inhaling the faint scent of the beauty and listening to her explanation meant just for him, An Zaiyi felt extremely content inside.

When they arrived outside the doors of the two offices, Lei Ying was already waiting there, along with a few others standing with him.

These were the absolute loyalists that Bai Xiaosheng and Chen Yucheng had called for, those with firm stances even if they were to be dismissed.

"Next, I’m going to divide the group. Everyone listen to my arrangements," Lei Ying picked up the paper in his hand, "An Zaiyi, small conference room."

Lei Ying looked at An Zaiyi.

The first one was himself, An Zaiyi was also surprised but smiled without rushing to move, "Senior Affairs Officer Sheng wants to see us, why separate us to meet? This isn’t appropriate."

Lei Ying put down the paper in his hand, looked at him coldly and impatiently said, "With so many people, it’s all a huge crowd, how can you express your opinions with everyone speaking at once? If you don’t want to participate, you can leave."

An Zaiyi felt embarrassed and had no choice but to step into the small conference room.

"He Qingyang, the large conference room!" Lei Ying called out.

Lin Weiwei added, "There are many people, so please move quickly."

Those whose names were called walked quickly into the large conference room.

"Guo Ba’an, small conference room."

A short man, learning from the previous example, quickly entered the small conference room.

Lei Ying continued to call out names.

Lin Weiwei urged them on.

In a moment, each conference room had six people in it.

Inside the small conference room, An Zaiyi initially chatted with Guo Ba’an who followed him in, but upon inadvertently lifting his head to glance at the people distributed across the seats, he suddenly froze.

"What’s going on, they’re all ’one of us’!" An Zaiyi instantly realized something was amiss.

After the sixth person entered, An Zaiyi suddenly stood up and strode towards the door.

This was no coincidence!

Why were all six of them in the small conference room, and why did they enter one after another?

As An Zaiyi moved, the others also sensed that something was off and got up to head towards the door.

The sixth person rushed to pull on that door, only to find that it had been locked from the outside.

This door was completely soundproofed!

After all, this was Han Hefei’s private small conference room, with exceptional privacy!

Even if they were to pound on the door inside, no one outside could hear them!

Outside the door, Lei Ying stood with his back against it, one hand behind his back, secretly pulling out a key, while the other hand holding the list hung down. Smiling at the crowd, he said, "Reading on like this will take a long time. I suddenly feel like you should first go into the large conference room. If it’s too crowded, then come out and find me to arrange."

The crowd suspected nothing, nodding in agreement and moving towards the large conference room.

Inside the large conference room, there were enough seats for several dozen more people; there simply wasn’t an issue of not having enough space.

Lin Weiwei was the last to enter, giving Lei Ying a deep look before closing the door to the large conference room.

Lei Ying turned his head to look at the small conference room.

Shortly, he would go inside and have a good talk with those six people.

"Having to deal with six people at once, and to break them down psychologically rather than just knock them out, is quite the challenge for a brute like me," Lei Ying muttered softly to himself with a smile, glancing at the five elite Affairs Officers standing by.

They were standing there not to maintain order, but to support him!

After patiently waiting a few more minutes, Lei Ying glanced at the time, signaled to those people, turned around, opened the door to the small conference room, and stepped inside.

"What is the meaning of this? Why have only the six of us been put in here? This is illegal imprisonment; it’s against the law!"

"Am I right or not?"

As soon as he entered, An Zaiyi lashed out in anger.

But in Lei Ying’s eyes, this was merely bluster.

Probably An Zaiyi and the others had figured out during these few minutes why only they were in there.

They had exposed themselves.

An Zaiyi was simply trying to muster some morale.

Lei Ying, without wasting words, smiled and walked over to a table next to him, suddenly lifting one leg over his head and delivering a powerful downward kick.

The sturdy table was split in half right down the middle.

An Zaiyi and the others watched, astonished.

Even those who came in with Lei Ying were dumbfounded.

So the assistant to the Senior Affairs Officer was this fierce!

"I’m a rough person; I’ve been involved with the underworld, served as a mercenary abroad, fought in battles and killed, and now I’ve joined the corporate world, where I hoped to communicate with everyone in a civilized manner."

Lei Ying’s gaze was sharp as he smiled and asked, "Or would you prefer a different method?"

An Zaiyi swallowed hard, seriously saying, "We should sit down and talk!"
