Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix
Chapter 1235 - 1235: Esper path

Esper Path: Embark on the journey of Psy, delving deep into the mysteries of Extra Sensory Perception (ESP). Develop heightened psychic abilities, allowing you to perceive and manipulate the world beyond the limits of conventional senses. Wisdom and Intelligence + 50 per level.

Level 1: Telepathy - Initiate your psychic journey with the ability to communicate telepathically with others. Higher levels increase the distance that you can start communications and the number of people that you can talk to at the same time. Cost; 100 mana per second.

Level 5: Telekinesis Manipulate and move objects with the power of your mind, bypassing physical contact. Cost; 100 mana per second.

Level 10: Psychometry Gain insights into the history of objects or people by touching them. Cost; 100 mana per second.

Rain was quite surprised that he managed to pull that off with the help of Sakaki. Those skills didn't look much like magic, after all. Regardless, he immediately began to work with it. Thanks to that, he soon got used to talking with more than one person at a time. He also could make everyone talk with each other. It was like creating a magic chat room.

"I just wished that this path would have things like Clairvoyance or Foresight," Rain said. "But I guess that is a bit too much."

"Aren't they the same?" Nigel asked.

"Not exactly," Sakaki said. "Definition: Foresight is the ability to predict or anticipate future events based on rational analysis, careful consideration of available information, and an understanding of trends or patterns. Foresight relies on logical reasoning, data analysis, and an understanding of cause-and-effect relationships.

It involves making educated guesses or predictions about what might happen in the future based on the information at hand. Clairvoyance, on the other hand, is often associated with the paranormal or supernatural. It refers to the alleged ability to perceive information about events or objects beyond the scope of normal human senses, often involving extrasensory perception.

Clairvoyance is thought to operate through means other than the traditional senses, such as seeing or sensing things that are not visible or apparent to others. It is often considered a psychic or intuitive ability rather than a rational and analytical process.

"Putting that aside… everyone is having a hard time unlocking this path," Rain said.

"Just learning the first skill is enough since the path is complete," Sakaki said. "However, all the skills require only the use of mana, and their effects are off the charts; one would need a high intelligence and wisdom to pull it off. Even those who have them will have a hard time unlocking the path."

That makes sense… Even now, compatibility is important. Rain didn't unlock a single path related to archery until now, and that showed how bad he was at it… even though he practiced a fair bit when he went to school… for two months.

In any case, to make Telepathy level up as much as possible, Rain kept it active all the time. He even planned to keep the chat room active for everyone to use, but soon, he changed his mind when he realized that, eventually, people would feel too lazy to open their mouths.

"... Hmm, I wonder if I can use this to learn how to read minds," Rain thought.

"I wonder how come you suddenly reached that throughout… your head works in weird ways," Sakaki said. "I don't think that something like that will actually work on reading the minds of your prisoners."

Rain nodded… the king in the shadow's knowledge and experience was incomplete, and the robot master had some seals even in his soul to avoid having his mind read. Still, it wasn't completely hopeless. As long as Telepathy keeps leveling up, it will eventually overpower such things as seals or defensive spells.

"The next group arrived," Terra said while looking in the distance. "It is Seadrei this time… what are we going to do? Calling him to come here will alert the demons, right?"

"It is fine, if a fight were to happen, we will just endure it and decrease the number of the enemies while we use the base in our favor," Rain declared. "We need to keep fighting as much as possible, after all, if we want to leave this hell hole within a year."

Arel observed the group with a mix of surprise and admiration. Despite the difficult battles they had faced, the chaotic territories they had ventured into, and the formidable foes they had fought, the determination to escape the zone within a year was still a goal that resonated strongly within each member.

Their commitment seemed unshaken, and Arel couldn't help but feel a genuine sense of amazement at their spirit.

Even in a world tainted by chaos and darkness, where survival was a daily struggle, the group's resolve to break free from the confines of the crazy realm was unwavering. Arel had witnessed their courage in the face of overwhelming odds, but this desire to escape within a year added a new layer of astonishment.

"Hmm, it seems that many things happened in a short window of time," Seadrei said after he talked with everyone. "This place is truly ruthless… with that in mind, we should kill all the enemies as soon as possible and escape the prison."

"... That is our goal, but it seems that you didn't get the enormous task that this is," Rain said. "There are hundreds of enemies like the king in the shadows here, perhaps even stronger."

"I am aware of it, but I am still willing to take risks to defeat some of those enemies by myself," Seadrei said. "I suggest that you do the same as well. With your current power and your relic, that should be easy for you."

Rain wondered if Seadrei had hit his head somewhere… It had been a while since he had been this unreasonable. Something must have happened, but he didn't say anything regarding their base in the previous zone, and only half an hour had passed since the previous group had left before them… they also looked fairly fine when they landed in that zone.
