Chapter 50: Only I Am Worthy Of Arthur (1) [Dark Chapter]
(Warning ⚠️ Yandere Torture)
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaah! Please, someone help me!"
"Shh." The soft hiss of a woman echoed through a prison cell. No, it looked more like a torture chamber.
"Why? Why the hell are you doing this?" the voice that screamed asked, tears streaming down her face.
The beautiful woman smiled. "You did well pretending you were fine."
The voice tried to move from the chair she was bound to, but it only rattled slightly. "Please, Unnie, I beg you, just let me go."
Nathira smiled warmly, as though she wasn’t holding a pair of scissors. "Anna, why do you sound like I’m hurting you?" Her smile softened. "We’re just playing a fun game called ’first time.’"
Anna had been crying for days now, but even then, her tears refused to stop. "Unnie, I told you, it was illusion magic I used. I didn’t actually do it with him."
Nathira nodded. "I know that. I’ve known since that day."
"Then why...?"
Nathira placed a finger over the lips of the bloodied Anna. "Because you still lied to darling, you vile demon." She let out a slow breath. "And just so you know, I’ve been holding back because of husband."
She turned to Anna’s nails, which had grown a little. "Didn’t I remove that yesterday? You demons really are different."
She grinned and pulled the nail out without flinching.
Anna screamed as pain surged through her. But the more she screamed, the more the chair electrocuted her.
"Please, I told you everything... I was sent to keep an eye on the academy, but my feelings for Arthur are real."
Nathira’s gaze darkened, then she grabbed Anna’s tongue and tugged. "Didn’t I tell you not to say his name?"
Anna held back her scream and nodded.
’Darling, you really do make foolish decisions.’
Arthur might have the innate talent to know who had positive feelings for him through the system, but that didn’t mean he could tell if those feelings were twisted.
An obsession.
From the moment Nathira entered the academy, she could sense it.
A girl who sat in the spectator’s seat, watching Arthur.
At that moment, she knew this wasn’t what people called love at first sight.
No, it was an obsession.
An obsession that came from someone’s blood.
A certain subspecies of succubus that took the life force needed for growth from a single person.
In their lifetime, they fall in love only once. After that, they can’t fall in love again. Their love isn’t slow and gentle—it’s like a fire. Once ignited, it never fades.
And Anna was from that race. Arthur had become that obsession.
But for that race to absorb life force properly, the man had to love them completely. And at that point, Arthur didn’t even know her.
So she kidnapped him and used illusion magic to make him obsessed with her body.
Unluckily for her, Arthur didn’t yield so easily and had only developed faint feelings for her.
However, Nathira saw through the scheme. She was a Supreme, after all, and nothing escaped her eyes.
She couldn’t just tell Arthur that everything he felt was an illusion, and that the girl was a demon.
Arthur might have gotten angry and killed her on the spot, but there was still the chance he wouldn’t do anything. Once he developed even mild feelings for someone, and they returned those feelings strongly, he was prone to falling for them.
That’s why she needed to handle things alone.
First, make sure she chose when Arthur would actually lose his first time. Second, monitor who he interacted with.
Then, she’d use the remaining time to torture Anna to her heart’s content—for both lying to Arthur and making her feel pain.
Or perhaps... just for getting too close to him.
Nathira smiled softly. "Everything is for you, husband. Any girl who approaches you with ill intentions, I’ll kill them."

(Inside Arthur’s Room)
After Ayla had told him about his mom, he’d agreed to take her in, and they formed the first core members of his faction.
And though a little cringe, they came up with a name:
The Twelve Zodiacs.
Each of them took one of the zodiac titles, with him being Aquarius.
’Well, things went rather well.’
His other problem was Cecilia and Ellie, but after giving it some thought, he realized they weren’t the only ones with tension between them.
Maybe it was because a lot of things that weren’t in the game were happening, but he couldn’t help reflecting on everything.
Nathira was a yandere who had waited a thousand years for him. No matter how much he tried to downplay it, it had been gnawing at him that she wasn’t his first.
That was the main reason he hadn’t touched any of the girls.
But the problem was, she herself seemed to be taking it too lightly.
The Nathira he knew would’ve killed Anna on the spot, regardless of what he had said.
So it didn’t make sense that she didn’t. Plus, Anna was a nonexistent character in the game—so how come there was suddenly so much of her now?
He rubbed the bridge of his nose. ’What if Anna is dangerous?’
There was definitely such a possibility.
And if she was dangerous, then it made sense why she was being so quiet.
It also explained why, after yesterday, she vanished—and even her hair and eye color changed.
There was no reason to distrust Nathira. That meant Anna really did have something off about her.
If Nathira found out that day, it would explain why she just took Anna away.
Even then, her lack of response was still odd. And the fact that, even with her domain that could cover the whole school, she didn’t find him...
’Wait, wait, wait...’ Arthur felt a cold sweat form on his temples as he sat up. ’Maybe... I never lost my first time...’
If he never lost it to begin with, then it made sense why Nathira had simply walked away, and why he hadn’t been dreaming or obsessing over it.
Several inconsistencies began to align.
There was no way Anna could’ve slipped something into his drink back at the banquet.
He had only assumed so because it was the most convenient answer. But considering how secure the academy was, it was impossible.
And Anna was a lower rank than him, so there was no way she could’ve snuck up on him.
Even if she could, she wouldn’t have had time to prepare even the teleportation spell that took him to her room.
Arthur started piecing it all together.
Right now, no matter how much he wanted to deny it, he was playing more of a protagonist role than Ha-joon.
That meant all the evil organizations would be targeting him.
If a demonic race like that succubus subspecies fell for him, the system would still register it as affection points.
Anna was from that clan. She fell in love with him, and the system recorded it accordingly.
But since she needed his life force to grow, she needed him to fall for her before she slept with him.
And the thing most men fall for easily?
A woman’s body.
So she used a demonic art to trap him in an illusion. And once he was hypnotized, she made him perform the act with nothing—just like how succubi affect dreams.
However, since he didn’t fall for her like she hoped, she wanted to get closer. Still, Nathira, as a Supreme, must have sensed everything...
Arthur forced a smile. "I’m such a fool..."
He placed his hand on his head as if overwhelmed. "I’m sorry, Nathira."
Once again, he had relied on her to protect him.
He stood from his bed and grabbed his blazer.
Maybe he was overthinking things, and he hoped he was.
But if it was all real, then he had to take care of it.
"I think I’ve gotten weak-minded," he muttered as he left the room.
