Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System -
Chapter 473 - 473: Hierarchy in the Blue Ring Region
From what Su Yu told Necro, the Blue Ring Region was ruled over by her family—the Blue Legion Household. Below them were the Six Regional Families, each one a powerhouse in every marketable industry.
Equal to the Six Regional Families, but not officially recognized by the Orthodox Faction, were those sanctioned by the Unorthodox Faction. They were known as the Yunsheng Alliance and were very formidable.
Then there were the dozens of Sects scattered around the territories of the powerhouse factions. They were limited to Grade 6, but even that meant they possessed experts of the Foundation Establishment Realm.
Below the Sects were random factions and families or evil organizations. In the eyes of the Regional Families and Yunsheng Alliance, though, these people were nothing.
And to the Blue Legion Household, everything below them were little more than puppets playing the roles of nobles.
Necro went silent.
"Hoho~, do you finally realize how great my family is?" Su Yu took the opportunity to gloat, using this as revenge for how he treated her before. "You know, if you admit your mistakes now, this big sister doesn't mind ensuring your safety!"
"The Blue Legion Family does indeed sound very impressive," said Necro. "But if they're really as invincible as you say, why is it that you were left to your own devices in the middle of the Great Forest of Jagga?"
Su Yu froze in place. Beads of sweat materialized as she averted her gaze.
"W-Well, you see… I…"
"You ran away, didn't you?" Necro asked, having figured it all out in an instant. "I've heard of such a trend happening among the High-born human heirs. To think I'd meet a case like that today."
Su Yu's expression twisted in embarrassment as she lightly punched his arm.
"S-Shudup, you jerk…!" she grumbled. "And it isn't like that! I simply felt like taking Lolipop for a stroll, you see!"
"You left without an entourage and lost control of your pet," Necro added his own commentary to fill in what she left out. "Either your family doesn't care about you, or you really are a little rebel."
"Y-You…" Su Yu wore a frustrated expression.
Yet it quickly morphed into one of sadness. She sniffled while rubbing her moist eyes, her lips quivering.
"Did I misspeak?" asked Necro. "If so, I'm sorry. I'm still adjusting to the conversational habits of humans."
"...No, it's not you," Su Yu said through sniffles, wiping her nose and eyes. "You were right the first time around. I ran away…"
"And your family?"
"They… don't care about me… I-I hate when you're right…"
The both of them stopped talking. This lasted for a while, only coming to an end when Necro said, "If you want to talk about it, I don't mind listening."
'This is what a good human would do.'
"No… You would be bored to death by what I'd have to say…" Su Yu smiled self-deprecatively. "A-Anyway, the Gate Guards returned with officials and a representative of my family. It's time to go."
With an unreadable expression, Necro watched as the pained young girl ran off toward the approaching figures.
'This noble heir is different from what I had imagined them to be like,' Necro thought. 'I wonder if the rest of them are like this as well.'
Speaking of the devil:
"Who the hell is that raggedy bumpkin??" a suave young man with medium-length blond hair scoffed as he peeked out from the approaching group. "Where did cousin pick this brat up from?"
This young man was Branch a relative of the Blue Legion Household and was currently a VIP guest in River Mountain City. His name was Han Tianfeng. 16 years of age. Average cultivation talent. And a well-renowned good-for-nothing famous for taking advantage of his family's status to bully anyone he wanted to.
Upon reaching the group, Su Yu scanned them with her eyes. Most of them were unimportant figures, but she nonetheless greeted them appropriately.
"My name is Su Yu, and I am the 6th Young Lady of the Blue Legion Household's Main Family. It's my pleasure to meet you all."
She curtsied.
The officials appreciated this gesture. They'd be lying if they said they weren't originally afraid this girl would turn out to be like their current 'Guest,' who had more than overstayed his welcome.
"Please, please, Young Lady Su Yu, it's our highest honor to be encountering you here today." River Mountain City's Mayor cupped his hands, his Foundation Establishment Realm cultivation put on the benchwarmer so as to not frighten Su Yu. "If you'd have us, we'd be more than willing to accommodate your stay here, and even take care of your…"
The Mayor was obviously trying to clarify the relationship between Su Yu and Necro. However, she didn't know what to say.
Were they merely unrelated strangers?
Or just acquaintances…?
"Friend." Necro took everyone by surprise by speaking up first. "That is what I am to Young Miss Su Yu."
"You dare lie-!?" Han Tianfeng scowled, but was interrupted by Su Yu, who smiled brighter than the sun while saying:
"That's right! He's my friend, and his name is Necro!"
She looked so proud over stating this.
"V-Very well then," said the River Mountain City Mayor. "Please follow us as well, Young Lord Necro."
"But as for your Wyvern…" He seemed hesitant to mention this, afraid to anger the 6th Young Lady, but it had to be said.
The Wyvern was, after all, very huge and scary. Bringing it into a city as populated as River Mountain City would be…
THUD!
"Stay." Necro set Lolipop down and gave her a simple yet scary command. "I'll untie you. But if you leave this general area, I'll have to… do something regrettable."
"!!!"
The green-scaled Wyvern fearfully shook her head. She sat in place, staring straight ahead as if to prove how much of a good girl she'd be.
"Good." Necro's 'friendly' smile vanished as he turned around to face the stunned crowd. "What is it?"
"Nothing, nothing…"
This young boy was unbelievably cute and didn't appear very strong. However, if he could so easily make a descendant of dragons so subservient, he was certainly not as simple as he seemed.
