Chapter 30: Entering The Pacific Blue Star Evolution Path Rankings

At the same time as Jin conversed with the President of Astranova Industries, in the Virtual World center area of Pacific Blue Star, crowds were gathered.

Each and every person that could enter the Virtual World was at least a Level 2 Cosmic Citizen. And right now, all of them were staring up at a massive glowing tablet, inscribed with names and Evolutionary Paths.

The Pacific Blue Evolutionary Path Rankings Tablet.

There was a version of it in both the real world and the mirrored Virtual World. On it were the names of 100 Evolutionary Paths, which were the top 100 Evolutionary Paths to ever come out of Pacific Blue Star. Each Path, evidence of the blood, sweat, and tears that talented scientists put their all into creating, was also attached with the name of the Path’s Founder.

But contrary to how the rankings on the Tablet had been for centuries, there was now... an additional name.

Although changes in the range of the Top 100 Evolutionary Paths were common, a new addition to the million-year-old Tablet was anything but a usual occurrence.

"Ranked 97th, Martial Dao Evolutionary Path, Rank 3..."

As Level 2 and above Citizens began to read off the details of the new addition, they got around to the name of the Founder.

"The Benefactor," someone said, marveling at the contents of the 1st Chapter of the Evolutionary Path he just purchased for 6,666 Cosmic Human Coins. "The act of refining a vital part of yourself, Essence Refinement, is quite amazing. As opposed to other Evolutionary Paths that require specific resources, Bloodlines, or Physiques to practice, this Martial Dao Path has much more versatility."

Someone else sighed. "It’s only unfortunate that the Evolution Path only has the 1st Chapter. I’m already a good bit into the 2nd Rank, so even if I converted to this Path, I wouldn’t become any stronger."

"But isn’t that also something incredulous?" a Peak Rank 2 Evolver retorted. "This Evolution Path is only Rank 1, yet it was evaluated by the Goddess of Wisdom as Rank 3. This is unprecedented."

This got everyone thinking.

The man who just spoke was right; how could a Rank 1 Evolution Path automatically become a Rank 3, even being placed among the Top 100 Evolution Paths in all of Pacific Blue Star’s vast history? Something about this wasn’t adding up.

However, that was only until someone glossed over the final sections of the Martial Dao Path’s 1st Chapter.

"Dantian Formation Realm... This is..."

The act of condensing your energy or Essence enough to form a spherical Refinement Manager inside yourself, although simplistic in nature, was far more difficult to achieve in reality. Moreover, the ’Dantian,’ as it was called in the Martial Dao Evolution Path, was no ordinary micro-manager.

It was countless times better and more efficient than anything these Level 2 and Level 3 Citizens had ever seen before.

"So this is what made the Goddess of Wisdom determine this Evolution Path to have the potential to reach Rank 3. Truly profound."

"I have no doubt that this Martial Dao Evolution Path was developed by a famous Scientist Institute. Maybe Dr. Wu? Professor Kial, perhaps?"

"I also feel that only them and those of similar renown as them could create an Evolution Path like this one."

"I think I’ll have my grandson start cultivating with this Path!"

As thousands of high-level Citizens discussed the new Martial Dao Evolutionary Path, sending waves throughout Pacific Blue Star, the one who created it—someone far from what they imagined—just bid farewell to Valen and Zara.

"50 million Cosmic Human Coins," muttered Jin as he observed his account balance. This, being but a mere token of friendship from the President of Astranova Industries, went to show just how important a Level 3 Citizen was.

Even the big bosses of huge billion-dollar corporations were eager to befriend a Level 3 Citizen.

It should be noted that 50 million Cosmic Human Coins was no small amount. Being enough to support an average family in a good District for thousands of years, it could even be considered an astronomical amount.

Not only could Jin pay off his debt to the World Alliance Bank, he could also buy the houses that he was reluctant to browse with the meager 4-point-something million Coins that he had left after purchasing the Energy Orbs.

"What are your recommendations for somewhere quiet and spacious?" Jin asked a nervous Agent, who jumped in his skin after hearing his voice. fr\eewe.bn(o)v\el.c(o)m

"Y-Young Lord, I can show you the best among the best of our 40 to 50 million Coin Catalogue right now," the Agent said with a stutter. The other Agents and Managers around him prayed with all their might that he could appease the terrifying Level 3 Citizen. Only that way could they keep their jobs and their lives.

Although killing was strictly forbidden in most of the Cosmic Human Civilization’s territory, it was not impossible to alter the elements of one’s personal life. Doing such a sinister, underhanded thing would make those affected wish for death, as they’d lose everything.

Some even considered this method of vengeance and spite to be worse than death.

However, as it didn’t directly break any rules, the Three Goddesses allowed it to an extent.

Of course, if things got out of hand and internal strife escalated, the Goddesses would intervene. Thus, most wouldn’t take things this far in their journey of revenge.

However, one could never be too cautious...
