Chapter 952: Chapter 11 The Newbie of the Nepal Team
The residential area’s buildings were all made of high-strength metal; even after such an explosion, it only resulted in a distorted passage and seepage without collapse. Tang Zheng had planned to wait until the smoke cleared to pass through, but the handheld radar suddenly set off an alert, and three red dots lit up.
"We can’t wait any longer." Tang Zheng turned on his tactical flashlight and put on a gas mask, ready to rush over for reconnaissance and capture the enemy.
Team members showed up as green triangles on the radar, and so far, that’s what Tang Zheng had observed.
"Shall we go around?" Teng Yuangxiang held onto Tang Zheng, her face pleading, the female university student was also scared, as those red dots were clearly unknown enemies.
"It’s safe here for now. If you don’t want to go, just wait here for a while, then follow the markers I’ve laid out and catch up." Tang Zheng had just broken free from Teng Yuangxiang’s grip and took a step when the woman clung to him again.
"Please don’t leave us behind," Teng Yuangxiang began to act weak, "Do you really have the heart to abandon two women? We’ll be eaten by bugs."
"Don’t worry, the maze is too chaotic; the three ’red dots’ won’t find their way here anytime soon. Besides, with the numbers even, they’ll have to weigh the pros and cons even if they plan to attack. I’ll have enough time to find them and kill them," Tang Zheng freed himself from Teng Yuangxiang and charged into the passage. He couldn’t give up this opportunity, as it was the closest the red dots had ever been.
"Tang Zheng." Teng Yuangxiang called out, but to no avail. The female university student hesitated for a moment but still followed him.
"Heh, your beauty trap failed, didn’t it? You should look at yourself; he doesn’t lack women. How could he possibly like a shameless bitch like you?" Zhou Peng, seeing Tang Zheng leave, immediately lashed out with abusive words, mocking Teng Yuangxiang. He hadn’t forgotten how this woman had ridiculed and beaten him, even tying a bomb collar around his neck.
"I am a bitch, and I just want to roll in the sheets with him. What business is it of yours?" Teng Yuangxiang cursed back, her eyes darting around; she noticed Zhou Peng’s bad intentions.
"Rape her, then toss the corpse away, claiming she was eaten by bugs," Zhou Peng, rebuked by the woman and looking at Teng Yuangxiang’s breasts emphasized by her tight clothes, couldn’t control himself any longer and reached out to grab her right~breast.
"Go to hell." Teng Yuangxiang kicked out with her high-heeled boots, striking Zhou Peng in the crotch, then she ran screaming, "Help, murder!"
"Bitch!" Zhou Peng chased her a few steps but then, cringing in pain, bent over and clutched his groin, his fingers having only grazed the tip of Teng Yuangxiang’s buttocks before she escaped.
"What should I do now? She’s definitely going to report this." Zhou Peng viciously slapped himself, regretting bitterly. Then, thinking of the brief slipperiness he felt when he touched her, a thick jealousy surged in his heart.
"Damn it, why isn’t it me?" Zhou Peng punched the ground in fury. The image of a naked Teng Yuangxiang being ravaged by Tang Zheng surfaced in his mind, nearly driving him insane.
"If you’re not satisfied, then go take her back!" A cold voice suddenly rang out, startling Zhou Peng.
"Who?" Before Zhou Peng could hide, his hair was grabbed and his head violently slammed against the wall. He didn’t dare to resist, with a dagger pressing against his eye, nearly piercing the eyeball.
"Tsk, tsk, you don’t have a choice now, do you? A newbie who leaves the team in this kind of environment has only one path: death," said a man holding Zhou Peng, his voice unnaturally high-pitched, almost like a castrato’s.
Zhou Peng didn’t even dare to breathe heavily as he stared at the dagger, swallowing hard in fear that a careless prick would strike. He also saw the man’s face in front of him, clearly a Southeast Asian.
"Good, would you like to cooperate?" The man from Nepal smiled when Zhou Peng nodded, setting his conditions, "I’m only interested in well-off Conquerors, so you just have to touch that man once, and it’s mission accomplished. Then those two women, I’ll catch them for you to dispose of as you please."
The dark-skinned man’s fingertips glowed as he traced a few lines on Zhou Peng’s right arm, a totem lit up and then disappeared.
Even though the man let him go, Zhou Peng’s face was extremely grim; he didn’t know what that was, but it didn’t seem like anything good.
"Don’t worry, as long as the combat plan succeeds, I will help you remove this crude bomb collar," the man patted Zhou Peng on the shoulder and stepped back, "Don’t think about running away, or I’ll slaughter you."
Zhou Peng entered the passage, struggling intensely within. The man before him couldn’t be trusted, but if Teng Yuangxiang told others about what happened earlier, Tang Zheng would surely beat him up and use him as cannon fodder with no chance of a comeback. If he listened to the man, not only could he get his revenge, but he would even get to play with Teng Yuangxiang’s body.
"Screw it, I’m going to die anyway!" Zhou Peng decided recklessly, his eyes growing fierce.
"Idiot!" The Nepalese man muttered, keenly sensing the change in Zhou Peng’s mindset. He especially enjoyed this type of bait.
"Wait, why didn’t you show up on the radar?" Zhou Peng suddenly stopped and turned to ask.
"Because I haven’t turned on the handheld radar," the man didn’t mind telling him, the Silver Trojan still had an evil taste, with only one percent of the radars coming with an instruction manual.
Tang Zheng moved quickly, swiftly approaching the three red dots, and they, too, saw the red dot that represented Tang Zheng. Perhaps thinking that three against one gave them an advantage, they boldly made contact.
"Hmm? Interesting," noticing the enemy’s movement, Tang Zheng became less eager and began conserving energy, while he waited for the female university student who was catching up.
When the female university student saw Tang Zheng, she breathed a sigh of relief and collapsed to the ground. She had never run such a distance before and felt on the verge of collapse.
"Eh, we’re short one person?" The sudden disappearance of a red dot on the radar screen made Tang Zheng frown involuntarily.
"Dead, he must be dead," the female university student attempted to showcase her deductive skills, but alas, it was too superficial.
"It’s possible, but what about other reasons?" Tang Zheng suddenly realized that he had yet to explore all the functions of the handheld radar, took the one from the female university student, and turned it off.
On the screen, the green triangle representing her vanished.
"I see," Tang Zheng handed the handheld radar back to the female university student, "Can you still walk?"
"Wait, don’t leave me behind." Anxious shouts from Teng Yuangxiang came through the passage, along with the clacking sound of thigh-high boots on the ground.
Tang Zheng recalled the nearby terrain and dismissed the idea of setting bomb traps. Of course, he wouldn’t rush to find those three red dots either. If they had set up traps, he might fall into one. However, judging from their rash actions, they were undoubtedly three newbies.
"I’m coming, I’m coming." Teng Yuangxiang arrived panting and, seeing Tang Zheng squatting in the passage, let out a sigh of relief, and immediately began to act coquettishly, "Tang Zheng, that Zhou Peng tried to rape me."
"Quiet, and turn off your handheld radar." Tang Zheng took out a few hand grenades and handed them to the women, "These are fake, but they will emit smoke to scare the enemy."
"Haven’t killed them yet?" Teng Yuangxiang glanced at the handheld radar and saw two red dots still present, feeling uneasy.
"Even if we can’t fight on the battlefield I had in mind, we must try to avoid appearing on their traveled paths and always be wary of hidden landmines," Tang Zheng said, ignoring her, speaking to himself. The female university student’s eyes lit up, wanting to remember these words, while Teng Yuangxiang pretended to be pitiful to gain sympathy.
"Hmm, if we had enough bombs, we could set up some traps, detonate a few times, and make those unknown enemies more cautious and wear them down," Tang Zheng sighed. His reserves had been greatly depleted during the Death Thorns incident; otherwise, he could have annihilated the enemies and made them as skittish as scared birds.
"Don’t worry, I’ll slaughter them." The confidence in Tang Zheng’s words made the two women feel much safer.
Thud, thud, thud, the dull sound of rifle fire passed through the passage, hitting the trio’s eardrums; Teng Yuangxiang instinctively grabbed Tang Zheng’s arm.
"They’re coming, they’re coming!" The female university student’s voice trembled.
"Let’s go, back off," Tang Zheng instantly led them back into the hive room, "Go, find a room to hide in."
"Wait." Observing the dust on the ground, Tang Zheng realized they might leave footprints, so he called them to stop, then picked up each woman and tossed them into a small room.
"Damn it, feigning weakness?" Tang Zheng took out a bag of reserve plasma, pierced it, and sprinkled it over his abdomen, then let the rest drip on the ground at the entrance of the passage. Afterward, he ran into a small room and placed a remote control bomb there.
The three Nepalese saw that the red dot representing Tang Zheng had stopped and became more cautious, slowly advancing while recovering their strength.
Before the men could arrive, two hand grenades were thrown in, followed by intimidating gunfire.
"He’s wounded; might be bitten by the bugs," the Nepalese cheered up upon discovering the blood on the ground and began to underestimate the enemy.
"Idiot, do you see any bug corpses?" a man growled, then shoved his companion towards the hive room.
"So there’s a smart one!" While he praised him verbally, Tang Zheng felt much more at ease since the opponents’ weapons were of poor quality; by the sound of the gunfire, he could tell they had newbie equipment, and as for the grenades, they were probably provided by the Conquerors.
Watching the unlucky guy who got pushed in, Tang Zheng abandoned the idea of shooting and prepared to capture a live one instead.
"Nobody’s here!" The man shouted nervously, beckoning his companions to come in fast.
"Nonsense, that red dot is nearby and hasn’t moved. Forget it, let’s go in together and kill him." The Nepalese didn’t trust each other, and at this time, it was better to stick together.
"Hello there, gentlemen!" Knowing their newbie identity, Tang Zheng was far from polite; he pulled the trigger, and with a magnetic storm ball, he blew the left leg of the man to the left into broken flesh.
A shrill scream immediately reverberated in the room. Newbies are indeed cowardly; facing danger, they immediately cower, wanting to flee. Tang Zheng wouldn’t give them the chance, fired another shot, and the entire lower half of another unlucky guy was obliterated.
