Chapter 800 - 63 Difficult Kill

Chapter 800: Chapter 63 Difficult Kill

The Monster’s bite immediately twisted Cheng Cheng’s cheeks as tears spill from her eyes, yet the little girl did not cry out. She didn’t want to cause her brother trouble—not wanting to be seen as a burden by everyone.

"Cheng Cheng, Platinum Queen," Lu Fan shouted loudly, reminding Cheng Cheng. He slapped his thigh, killing a Monster, but soon others climbed up.

The Monsters that shot out from the principal’s belly were like bees from a disturbed hive, swarming and nearly filling the entire corridor. They emitted shrill squeaks from their feeders as they crawled towards the survivors.

In just a few seconds, the survivors were nearly overwhelmed, with hundreds of Monsters crawling over them.

"To hell with you!" Sha Ou bellowed, his Telekinesis sweeping across the corridor. Some Monsters got hit as if by a broom, crashing into the Wall and bursting on impact. They left behind disgusting remains and viscous fluids that trickled down the Wall. A pungent, acid stench began to rise, filling everyone’s nostrils.

Because Sha Ou had opened his mouth to shout, a Monster took the opportunity to crawl inside. Sha Ou’s square-faced reflexes made him quickly shut it. He immediately felt the Monster’s limbs sliding around in his mouth, charging towards his throat. Too preoccupied to fight the enemy, Sha Ou bent down with his fingers in his mouth, unleashing his Telekinesis to fish it out.

If the Monster had reached his belly, it would have surely devoured his viscera.

"Don’t open your mouth," Sha Ou warned, but it was too late. Old Wang, seeing a Monster crawling into Sha Ou’s mouth and screaming in shock, gave the Monsters their chance, and one darted inside.

Old Wang instantly clamped his mouth shut, even biting off two of the Monster’s hind legs, but it was futile. The Monster dragged its mangled body and charged into his esophagus. Desperate, Old Wang crouched and gagged himself, trying to expel it, but to no avail.

"Old Wang, let me help," Sha Ou called, setting aside the task of killing the Monster principal to save him, but it was too slow.

Meiji saw Old Wang’s cheeks bulge like a big lump that moved around, stretching his throat, then slid down his esophagus into his chest. Wherever it went, the skin split, leaking blood.

Old Wang screamed in agony, drenched in sweat.

Sha Ou made it to Old Wang in two strides, grabbed his shoulder, tore open his Protective Clothing, about to use his Telekinesis to extract the roaming ’lump,’ when suddenly, with a wet pop, Old Wang’s belly burst open. The Monster, covered in blood, clenching a bit of viscera, leaped toward Sha Ou’s face.

With a smack, Sha Ou swung at the Monster, obliterating it on impact. Old Wang collapsed, blood dribbling from the corner of his mouth, blood and viscera oozing from his abdominal cavity.

Seeing this horrific scene, none of the women dared to speak, all holding their mouths shut tight.

"Tang Zheng, save him, help me save him," Sha Ou felt like he was going mad. In a short time, he had witnessed the deaths of two brothers.

Cheng Cheng unleashed her Ability, turning into diamond state once more, shattering those Monsters’ large Teeth.

Tang Zheng caught up to see Old Wang struggling to mouth a few last words, gripping Sha Ou’s arm, wanting to entrust the care of his son to him, but he no longer had the strength.

"Don’t worry, I’ll take care of your sister-in-law and nephew," Sha Ou comforted him and continued to roar at Tang Zheng, "Please save him, I’ll do anything for you."

Out of brotherhood, Sha Ou was willing to pay any price.

"Calm down; there’s no saving him." Without Gravity Suppression, Tang Zheng was helpless against these little Monsters. As for Old Wang’s injuries, even using a First Aid Kit worth a thousand Points would only delay the inevitable. Through the ruptures, the damage to the organs was clear.

"Girl, use your Phoenix to help me save him." Hearing Tang Zheng’s response, Sha Ou was still in denial and then remembered what Gu Xueqi had said.

Gu Xueqi hesitated. She was a good girl who hated all criminal acts, so she detested these gangsters. But seeing the loyalty and brotherhood among Sha Ou and Old Wang made her waver.

"If you save him, I’ll kowtow to you." Seeing Gu Xueqi’s hesitation, Sha Ou, already covered in many little Monsters, ignored them and suddenly knelt down to Gu Xueqi, bowing his head to her.

"Don’t do this." Gu Xueqi felt awkward but made her decision and hurriedly squatted beside Old Wang. She crossed her hands and pressed them on his abdomen.

An Orange-Red Light emanated from the palm of Gu Xiaohua’s left hand. A Young Phoenix emerged, darting into Old Wang’s open wound. It instantly became specks of Life Energy that spread out, stopping the bleeding, alleviating the pain, and stalling Old Wang’s injuries.

"Thank you, thank you," Sha Ou said gratefully as he saw the pain on Old Wang’s face subside and the twitching stop.

"I can only alleviate his pain and delay his death," Gu Xueqi, sweat-soaked, explained, "Part of his organs are missing; there’s nothing I can do."

Hearing that Old Wang was still going to die, Sha Ou’s expression darkened again.

"Sha Ou, you’re just making him suffer more. It would be better to end it quickly with a bullet," Pang Meiqin didn’t want to say it, but seeing Old Wang holding up two fighters’ strength, especially Gu Xueqi, she found it unacceptable to waste life energy on someone bound to die when even treating Cheng Cheng would be more worthwhile.

The countdown continued, less than five minutes left now, indicating the monster principal had not died; the creatures spewing from its belly were its second form.

"Stop talking nonsense; you all get out of here first." After the monster principal transformed, even Tang Zheng couldn’t find a target and immediately entered the Second-Order Burst State, trying to advance to the Third-Order. Only by doing this could he unleash Gravity Suppression and crush these monsters.

Lu Fan wanted to take some of the pressure off Tang Zheng and, amid her anger, finally re-entered the First-Order Burst Seed State. The Little Lolita, overjoyed, swung her hand, and countless grains of sand began to wriggle and condense, forming fist-sized scarabs that collided with the monsters, fighting with them.

The scarabs climbed onto the survivors’ bodies, dispelling the monsters. Although they gradually stalled their advance, this delicate operation was too draining on life energy, and within a few seconds, Lu Fan started to sway, ready to fall. Yet, the Little Lolita was stubborn, showing no sign of retreat, and once most of the monsters were entangled by the scarabs, a surge of blood-misted energy erupted from Lu Fan, triggering her ability. The scarabs then transformed, bodies bursting open like porcupines, their sharp spines protruding and impaling the nearby monsters, nailing them to death.

Thud, thud, the sound of monsters being pierced resonated, bringing joy to Pang Meiqin and Yu Manli. Facing the monster principal’s second form, even as Conquerors, they were powerless. Now, seeing a glimmer of hope for victory, they immediately picked up Cheng Cheng and pulled the policewoman out of the battle circle. Their presence, in times like these, would only weaken the Squad’s strength.

Tang Zheng drew his bow, unleashing the Hundred-shot Skill towards the creatures swarming the entire corridor, taking down another group. The leftover monsters stopped attacking and rapidly retreated through the hole in the ground.

When Tang Zheng pursued them, he saw the fist-sized monsters start to gather, as if to re-form into a humanoid shape, so he used his Longbow to burst shot them, scattering them instantly.

The monsters screamed and gathered again.

Lu Fan also leaped down and, behind her, a large amount of yellow sand poured down, passing over her and rushing towards the monsters like a tidal wave hitting the shore, crushing a portion of them again.

"We’re running out of time," Lu Fan muttered, surprised by the principal’s resilience, and she was forced to launch a full-power attack without regard for the energy drain.

With two minutes on the clock, the Silver Trojan began the countdown, leaving the survivors anxiously awaiting news of the battle. The newbies, in particular, were despaired, praying in their hearts not to be chosen by the impending random death draw.

Dantai and Ruan Feifei continued their patrol on Main Street, killing as many Demonic Shadows as possible. The unexpected countdown didn’t rattle them much. After a moment’s hesitation, they headed toward Chuanwen High School and, considering the consequences, even if they ran out of time, Tang Zheng could still kill the monster principal. There was no doubt about that. The real issue now was how many would die.

Li Xinlan, upon hearing the countdown, had already arrived at the high school square with Dongzi, but they were blocked by a group of Demonic Shadows and were fighting. The two newbies were completely a burden and could not help; even the strong Dongzi had no self-preservation ability against these monsters.

At that moment, Dongzi desperately wanted a Seed.

"Tang Zheng won’t fail," Qin Yan also heard the countdown but had no mind to worry about it anymore. Their four-person battle had also reached a critical juncture.

The Demonic Shadow Daimyo had both arms blown off, its armor nearly shattered, and its power to counterattack greatly diminished. Yet the Trojan Squad wasn’t faring much better. Bai Guo, who had severed a limb of the Demonic Shadow, was severely injured; her entire chest cavity had collapsed due to a poor Protective Clothing, lying in a corner coughing up blood. If not for Qin Yan’s use of a First Aid Kit worth a thousand points, the Naturally Stupid would surely be dead; Xu Biyun was badly hurt, and as the main attacker, Lin Weiguo was also severely injured with half his body disabled and even lost consciousness.

Armed with her Burst Seed State’s phasing ability, Qin Yan had managed to hold out. Thankfully, the Old Soldier had fought a desperate battle, wearing down the Demonic Shadow Daimyo considerably, or else Qin Yumei wouldn’t have been able to defeat it.

When the Tang Sword pierced the Demonic Shadow Daimyo’s forehead and slashed at its skull, the countdown stopped, and the announcement of Tang Zheng killing the monster principal was broadcast.

With a bang, the Demonic Shadow Daimyo crumbled into Black Mist and dissipated, leaving behind five Golden Seeds, several Soul Shards, and a black full-body Armor.

This was an S-grade defensive Prop, but Qin Yan couldn’t muster any joy, revealing a bitter smile. With three people heavily wounded, how would they continue the game? Tang Zheng would certainly take care of them, which meant the entire Team would be weakened and face even more difficult challenges.

"Announcement: Tang Zheng and his companions have completed the time-limited mission, killing the Chuanwen High School principal. The random death draw is canceled." After the Silver Trojan finished, it allowed the entire Trojan Squad to breathe a great sigh of relief. (To be continued. If you like this work, we welcome you to vote for it on Qidian.com.
