Chapter 743 - 6: Scamming

Chapter 743: Chapter 6: Scamming

"Aren’t you afraid of damaging a Maybach 62 which costs over ten million?" An Xiuru didn’t refuse, she knew Tang Zheng didn’t care about these luxury cars, otherwise, he wouldn’t casually leave them in the garage, letting his friend drive them for a while was no problem.

"Once the Maybach hits the road, everyone will have to avoid me, who can afford to compensate if they scruff it?" Liu Man had fallen in love with the magnificent and noble appearance of the Maybach at first glance, "This kind of luxury vehicle, paired with a driver in a black uniform and white gloves, is positively aristocratic."

"You figure out the license plate issue yourself." Those cars all had French plates, An Xiuru who always kept a low profile thought her Lexus was enough, she definitely wouldn’t re-license them and take them out.

"Xiu Ru, you’re really nice." Liu Man looked up, planted a kiss on her best friend’s cheek, and begged, "You know that getting the license will be troublesome, could you help me do it?"

"Sister Xiu Ru, I won’t have dinner, I have to go out." Tang Zheng couldn’t possibly stay with a woman dressed in a semi-transparent nightgown, Xiu Ru wouldn’t say she minded, but he figured he’d better stay out of the way. Moreover, he also had to deliver money to the middle schooler and stop by Chu Baichuan’s house for a visit.

"Are you coming back tonight?" An Xiuru was somewhat disappointed, but she was too embarrassed to ask Liu Man to leave.

"Hmm." Tang Zheng walked into the garage, took three red travel bags from his wristwatch, and tossed them into the Aston Martin ONE-077. They were all filled with bundles of hundred-yuan notes, each bulging and totaling two million yuan, prepared for any emergency.

Under the astonished gaze of the security guard, the sports car left Jingshan Villa, Tang Zheng took out his mobile phone and dialed Yao Feng’s number.

"Boss, I’m at school, I’ve decided to turn over a new leaf, huh? You’re coming over now, there’s nothing prepared at home, I’ll let my sister come home to cook now." The middle schooler was very respectful and keen, deeply afraid of ticking Tang Zheng off.

"Why is it so noisy there? I can even hear someone yelling for the internet manager, and for a bottle of nutritional express. You turned over a new leaf? I think you’re still as depraved as ever?" Tang Zheng chided him harshly, these middle school kids all had mobile phones, he only got his when he started university, it was simply unbearable.

"Boss is wise, it’s been a few days since I’ve been to school, my friends said we should meet up, so I came to the internet cafe to play, I promise I’ll change in the future." The second-year boy was indeed heartless, yelling loudly for another dozen soda bottles, and then there was a hurrah of approval on the other side.

"You get out of there now." Tang Zheng hung up the phone with a ’thump’ after finishing, if Yao Feng won’t listen, he wouldn’t mind discarding this cannon fodder.

"Who is this guy? He’s so arrogant, does he think he’s your dad? He told you to get out, and change? You’re a third-year middle school student, even if you were Einstein reincarnated, you wouldn’t be able to get into a normal high school." A girl sitting next to Yao Feng, playing Dance Up, stared at the screen, wildly tapping the keys, while ridiculing Yao Feng.

"Nonsense, isn’t that my dad? Wait till you meet Brother Tang, be careful with your words, don’t embarrass me." Yao Feng muttered a sentence, warning his bad friends.

Yao Feng went home yesterday in fear, after all, the two classmates who had entered the Trojan Room with him were all dead, but no policemen had questioned him till today, which allowed the second-year boy to loosen up, and start enjoying himself again.

"Do you even have any face left anymore? You lost it long ago." One of the middle school students teased Yao Feng, which got them all laughing, they often played together, joking around was nothing unusual.

"Stop playing, let’s go out and wait, and put out your cigarettes." Yao Feng removed his headphones and adjusted his clothes, "Brother Tang is giving me two million today, I’ll treat you to dinner later."

"You’re just blowing hot air, even if he were your biological father, he wouldn’t give you a million." The boys sneered, not believing him at all.

"Tsk, not to brag, but I have a good life, having such a good elder brother." Still a teenager, suddenly surpassing one’s peers in some aspects, one couldn’t help but want to show off.

"He’s really giving you two million?" The girl playing Dance Up left behind her mouse and looked at Yao Feng, "Why?"

"Can’t tell." Yao Feng wasn’t stupid enough to be completely hopeless, "Don’t ask, anyways there will be money to spend later."

"I want to have a feast, and I want an iPhone4s!" The girl grabbed the second-year boy’s arm and pulled him out.

"No problem." Yao Feng lifted his chin, looking proud.

"Hurry up and call Brother Tang, explain to him, just say you were wrong." The girl was worried Yao Feng would annoy Brother Tang, and the money in hand would fly away, she kept looking back to remind him, however, as they were leaving the door, they bumped into a young thug with a huge dragon tattoo on his neck.

"What are you blocking here for?" The girl was unhappy, it was clearly empty just now.

"Hey, you’re the one who bumped into me, right? Apologize quickly." There were seven thugs in total, puffing out smoke from their cigarettes.

"My waist hurts, I must have damaged my kidneys." The thug who had been bumped into held his left waist and squatted down, "Take me to the hospital."

The girl was stunned, looking at the thug’s face full of pain, it seemed like he was really hit hard, she was somewhat at a loss, and looked towards Yao Feng and his friends.

"If you don’t want to, give us a thousand bucks." Finally, the thugs revealed their aim.

"Damn, you guys are trying to pull a scam, aren’t you?" Finally, a smart one, a middle schooler with a head full of yellow hair reacted, "I remember now, recently there was a gang pulling scams around the internet cafes nearby, it’s them."

"Hey, stop talking nonsense without any proof; be careful I don’t take you to court." The hooligans clamored louder and louder, blaming Yao Feng and his friends, using their imposing stature to intimidate them.

"You guys are just scammers, last time I saw..." The guy with the yellow hair had not finished speaking when he was slapped across the face by one of the hooligans.

"Told you to stop badmouthing us, didn’t understand that, did you? Let’s go, let’s have injuries checked at the hospital together." The hooligan spat phlegm onto the yellow-haired guy’s clothes, his attitude incredibly arrogant.

Performing robberies was something they’d done plenty of times. As for the high school students calling the police? They just had to intentionally injure themselves, creating some wounds to show, and the students could do nothing but endure their bullying. These lowlifes only had their miserable lives to gamble with, and in the end, they could rub some topical pain reliever on their wounds and still profit a few hundred dollars.

"There are seven of you. Each of you should pay roughly a hundred and forty. Remember and bring it tomorrow." The hooligans did not dare ask for too much, knowing to gauge their demands. They knew high school students can easily get money from their parents under the excuse of needing to buy reference books.

"Yao Feng, didn’t you say that Brother Tang would give you two million yuan? Give them a thousand and send them away." The girl stubbornly tried to keep calm, acting as if she didn’t even wish to converse with the hooligans.

"Two million yuan? Keep bragging." The hooligans exchanged looks, laughing mockingly. "Whoever believes that is an idiot."

"Why should I give any money? I could handle ten of them all alone. If Brother Tang found out that I was being threatened, he would belittle me." Yao Feng, feeling transformed after his experience in the Trojan Horse Game, didn’t hesitate and charged at the hooligans.

Among Yao Feng’s friends, two were genuine confidants. They rushed forward without hesitation, demonstrating their loyalty.

"Stupid bullies," grunted the hooligans, pulling out batons from their waists and swinging them at the waists of the three brash youngsters, knocking them to the ground.

Though Yao Feng wore protective clothing, offering a twofold increase in ability, he had too few points to exchange for agility. He was no different from an ordinary person right now. It would have been miraculous if he hadn’t been beaten. The hooligans had a lot more experience in brawling and had all the advantages.

Upon seeing the address text message sent by Yao Feng, Tang Zheng slightly frowned. However, he didn’t call back. Instead, he hit the gas and headed towards Heping Road.

"Holy shit, come out and look, it’s a supercar, a Ferrari!" A boy who had just left the internet cafe suddenly shouted. The internet cafe erupted with excitement as everyone rushed out to look. A Ferrari was a luxury car that could only be seen on TV. All the young people wanted to feast their eyes on it.

Dark clouds blanketed the sky. After half a month of gloomy weather, the crystalline winter snow finally began to fall on this chilly morning. Within moments, the highway was covered in a layer of what looked like goose feathers.

The engine of the ONE-77 roared like a beast rising from the deep sea. It cut through the falling snow and parked in front of the internet cafe.

The swan-wing car door opened, and Tang Zheng, dressed casually, stepped out. He took a quick glance at the internet cafe, pulled out his mobile phone, and called Yao Feng.

"You think this is a Ferrari? You got a hole in your brain? This is an Aston Martin ONE-77 worth 50 million!" A hooligan who liked cars mocked the one who exclaimed Ferrari before, flaunting his knowledge.

Upon hearing the hooligans announce the car’s price, the young people gasped. The look in their eyes towards the sports car was even more fervid, and some started to take pictures with their mobile phones.

"Ha, see that? The front is damaged; this guy must be terrible at driving." A hooligan who knew how to drive, feeling superior, mocked Tang Zheng.

"Why isn’t he going to a repair shop? Why is he parking the car here? Is he looking to pick up school girls? He should go to the nearby art academy for that, shouldn’t he?"

Everyone was guessing Tang Zheng’s identity and purpose when Yao Feng’s phone suddenly rang. The absurd ringtone startled everyone present, causing them to flinch.

"Looking for death, huh? Hang up the phone now!" A hooligan slapped Yao Feng in the face, then went to take photos of the supercar, full of envy. "If I had a car like this, the beautiful girls would be lining up for me."

"Brother Tang, I’m at the internet cafe, and some people are causing trouble; they won’t let us leave." Yao Feng answered the phone and immediately began to complain.

Tang Zheng frowned, looked up at the snowy sky, and walked towards the internet cafe. After a few steps, he stopped, returned to his car, leaned in, and pulled out an aluminum alloy baseball bat.

He had to visit Chu Baichuan’s home later, and Tang Zheng didn’t want to be drenched in blood. That would be rude.

He hung up the phone with the aluminum bat in hand. As relaxed as if he were out for a stroll, he casually walked across the main street towards the internet cafe.

"Oh! Is this guy coming to start a fight?"

"Who is it? Who dares to mess with the guy who drives a 50 million supercar? Step forward; let’s have a look!"

"Shouldn’t we run? Can we really afford to mess with this guy?"

Everyone was chattering, making fun of the unlucky person who would have to face the music soon. (To be continued. If you like this work, please feel free to vote at qidian.com. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
