Chapter 738: Chapter 1 Inventorying the Spoils of War

"Trojan, isn’t there a second option we can choose?" Dantai will not let Tang Zheng waste ten thousand points to save a little girl. Even if it means getting beaten, he had to stop him.

Tang Zheng is very rational, he understands that saving the little girl this time is still just prolonging her death. In the next game, the chance of Chengcheng surviving is just one percent. As a seven-year-old, her body can’t withstand the crime of nature itself. Even if she activates her seed ability, she cannot utilize it.

"Big brother, if you’re having a tough time, don’t worry about me." As a very sensitive little kid, Chengcheng felt the heavy atmosphere building up, she stealthily pulled at Tang Zheng’s clothes, looking at him cluelessly with a worried expression. She was afraid of causing troubles for this caring big brother.

Seeing the visible worry and anxiety in the swollen eyes of the little girl, the disagreement inside Tang Zheng’s mind was nearing its breaking point.

Should he just sit back and watch the girl die? Save her and she may die, but if he doesn’t save her, she definitely will die.

"Big Brother, I’m going home." The little girl left Tang Zheng and ran towards the only door in the room, turning the handle.

For a full five minutes, the little girl kept grappled with the door handle. Even though her tears have already wet the floor beneath her feet, forming a small puddle, she never once turned back or called for Tang Zheng’s help. She was afraid of troubling her big brother.

A little girl struggled in an attempt to go home, yet she was unaware that the door would never open.

"She just lost her mother!" Bai Guo wiped her tears, as the innocent her wanted to hold the little girl, but was stopped by Pang Meiqin.

"Chengcheng." called out Li Xinlan. As she was about to walk over, the little girl turned around.

"Brother, Chengcheng didn’t cry, don’t worry. The door will open soon, then Chengcheng can go home." Chengcheng’s eyes were red with tears streaking down her cheeks, but she still forced a sweet smile, showing her white teeth. She waved her hand at Tang Zheng as though to ease his worry. "Really, you don’t need to be bothered by me."

The little girl was facing at the door alone, wiping away her tears, but not crying aloud. Every survivor saw the shaking shoulders of the little girl as she sobbed helplessly.

"Chengcheng, do you know the way home?" Tang Zheng walked over and patted the little girl’s head.

The little girl shook her head, but quickly nodded, adding, "I know."

Everyone could see that Chengcheng really didn’t want to cause any troubles to Tang Zheng.

"Tell me your dad’s phone number?" Tang Zheng took out his mobile phone. He had already decided to pay ten thousand points to save this little girl because he knew it would be a lifetime regret otherwise.

"Chengcheng doesn’t have a dad, just a mom and a grandmother," the little girl’s words made Tang Zheng freeze, followed by a sigh.

"Is it entangling? Faced with such a dilemma, if you guys are a bit cold-hearted, close your eyes and it would pass. Really, it’s just a little girl’s head exploding, it will be quick." Trojan did not answer Dantai, he initially wanted to mock Tang Zheng, but after saying it, he sighed for the first time, "Never mind, I won’t play with you anymore. After all this time, you still retain your kindness, which makes you the first person I’ve encountered that I feel bad to take advantage of."

"So there is a second choice." The survivors all let out a sigh of relief. Although Tang Zheng’s approach may have been the kindness of a woman, it earned their admiration and reassured them that they wouldn’t be discarded as cannon fodder if they did not betray him.

"This is a man who could never be a hero, but he is destined to be a hero." Ruan Feifei also started to reassess Tang Zheng.

"Idiot." Mei Jueye cursed Tang Zheng gingerly, yet for the first time, he was wavering in his heart. However, the thought was discarded quickly. There was no turning back for him now. He had to take back everything the world owed him, otherwise, he wouldn’t be satisfied even if he went to hell.

"Pay five thousand points, and Chengcheng will have the chance to participate in the next Trojan Horse Game." Just as the words of Trojan fell, Qin Yan, and Xin Lan already actively requested to pay the points.

"How can we let a lady spend money? Tang Zheng and I will do it." Dantai had always been strengthening his body and buying props, but he still saved one thousand five hundred points for contingencies.

"I’ll see this through to the end, the thing I brought upon myself." Tang Zheng would not let them help. Bringing along a little girl was already trouble enough for the team.

"The points have been deducted from Tang Zheng and Lu Fan totaling five thousand points. Please survivors buy equipment. If there is no need, you can leave." After Trojan said that, the black cube in the room stopped rotating and fell to the center of the room, not caring about these playthings anymore.

"This is the end, anyway, I have too many points that I don’t know how to spend." Lu Fan made a weird face, chatting with Chengcheng, "Little princess, leave her to me. I promise to take good care of her and make her time here the happiest."

"Alright, give me a call if anything comes up." This arrangement was suitable, with Lu Fan’s wealthy family able to provide the little girl with a princess-like lifestyle for over two weeks.

"Five thousand points for a dozen days of survival... well, it is what it is." Chen Hong remained silent. As a weakling in a dangerous situation, she too desired aid from others and not the indifference of bystanders.

"There’s a saying that the good die young. Group Leader, I can’t help but feel like you’ve hoisted your own death flag." Xu Biyun attempted a joke to lighten the mood, but realized it was inappropriate and quickly shut her mouth.

"It’s fine. Dantai, we should take the opportunity to deal with Mei Jueye in reality. He’s too much of a threat." Seeing the high school student leave, Tang Zheng threw an arm around Dantai’s shoulder and asked in a low voice, "Any objections?"

"Do you think being a Special Agent is omnipotent?" Dantai shot Tang Zheng a look. "I am currently carrying out a mission in the Middle East. Covering up my unexplained disappearances takes quite a lot of effort, and even if I want to quit, I can’t."

Dantai’s job did not allow him the freedom he sought. The pressure of juggling both sides of his life was driving him insane.

"We must take him down next time, he’s too unsettling." Xu Biyun joined the discussion, asking the men to quickly find a way to kill Mei Jueye.

"What spoils of war did you get after killing the queen?" Pang Meiqin was more interested in Tang Zheng’s gains.

"Three Star Seeds, and one Queen’s Heart." Tang Zheng took out the heart and everyone immediately scanned it with their wristwatches.

SS-Class Item, Crystal Heart of the Queen. When worn, it allows the user to summon a mirror clone with the user’s current melee ability. The clone cannot use Seed Abilities and does not explode, but it can take one third of the damage for the user. Once voluntarily dismissed, it can provide an S-Class Position Shield for the user that lasts for one minute or withstands fifty hits from S-Class weapons.

"A top-tier item for both offense and defense, I’m so jealous." Xu Biyun ran her hand over the multi-colored crystal heart and sighed. "I really want to go through the Mechanical Labyrinth again."

"Come on, the queen was definitely the strongest boss we’ve encountered so far. I really don’t want to die again." Pang Meiqin had a more practical perspective; survival was key.

"Xin Lan, Lu Fan, take these two Star Seeds. Then each of you take two Golden Seeds and distribute them to Ruan Feifei, Bai Chuan, Qin Yan, and Old Xu." Tang Zheng knew that as a group leader, a fair distribution of spoils was fundamental to maintaining team spirit. Without his teammates holding off the viruses and clones to buy him time, he wouldn’t have been able to kill the queen.

"The rest are Silver. Don’t complain." Tang Zheng handed out the seeds. Not to mention the gifts from Yin Shangwu that he still hadn’t used up, Zhuo Lie’s wristwatch alone had several seeds, including two Stars and five Golds. All were now his for the taking.

"Oh right, you also killed Zhuo Lie. That guy must have been worth a fortune." Seeing that Tang Zheng had cracked the password on the wristwatch, Lu Fan urged him. "What’s inside?"

"One S-Class Moon Blade, one S-Class Heavy Magnetic Storm Rifle, one S-Class Curved Knife, five First Aid Kits worth a thousand points each, two Sweet Spring Potions, countless supplies and ammunition, as well as a Bumblebee Vehicle and a Velociraptor Mount."

The names and quantities of the items scrolled continuously on the virtual screen. A number in the lower right corner climbed steadily until it stopped at over one hundred and ten thousand; that was the total value.

"So much." Lu Fan’s eyes were bedazzled. Clearly, Zhuo Lie had killed numerous Conquerors, as his wristwatch contained plenty of A-grade spoils of war along with countless other items.

"I won’t need to buy more ammunition until I leave the Trojan Room." Looking at nearly a million rounds of spiritual power bullets in storage, Tang Zheng was thrilled. Killing a third-order Explosive Type Conqueror might be difficult, but once successful, the rewards were immense.

Tang Zheng gave the S-Class Curved Knife to Dantai. He already had the Snow Generation and Dragon Bone Curved Blade and didn’t need it. Plus, the Thunderstorm Rifle could finally be replaced. At this point, almost all of his gear was S-Class, which was incredibly powerful.

"We’re far behind in strength compared to Tang Zheng. We must quickly improve." Dantai’s face turned serious as he reminded everyone. "Once back in reality, don’t just rest. Train harder, or we’ll all be a burden."

"If our team gets disbanded and we are sent to other Trojan Rooms as reinforcements, we’re doomed." Pang Meiqin’s comment immediately tensed everyone up, and they all decided to train hard once they returned.

"What happens in an explosion?" Ruan Feifei finally found a chance to ask. This knowledge could not be obtained from the Trojan Horse Game and needed to be learned by experience.

"A first-order explosion enhances and releases one’s fighting instincts. Typically, one’s physical condition is enhanced fifteen to twenty times, and their Seed Ability undergoes evolution."

"A second-order explosion allows one to control more than 80% of their body. Strength, muscles, vision, and managements of breath are optimized for a short time to the most suitable combat state, shutting down unnecessary organs and concentrating all energies to attain more focused attention and explosive power. This can significantly boost the destructive effect and range of the Seed Ability."

"A third-order explosion is the mark of a powerful Conqueror. Whether a Seed Ability User can step into a higher world depends on being refined at this stage. During this time, the brain evolves and models to optimize one’s condition. Even without an explosion, this process is ongoing, gradually transforming the Ability User’s body, laying the foundation. As Yin Shangwu once mentioned, this is considered ’foundation building’." Tang Zheng spread his hands. "This is all I know. I have yet to see what lies beyond." (To be continued.
