Chapter 648 - 42 Kill Them All

Chapter 648: Chapter 42 Kill Them All

"Damn protective clothing!" Mei Jueye was quite confident, hoping for a good start. He had even envisioned the scene after pulling the trigger, a single shot blowing up Lin Weiguo’s head, intimidating the enemies. The others, scared like rabbits, would run around in panic while he chased them like an experienced hunter, taking them down one by one with his lagging rifle. Unfortunately, his fantasy was much more glamorous than reality.

The high school student barely had time to fire off a second round. After all, Lin Weiguo was once a special forces soldier under the South Country Sword. After being shot, he didn’t even check his injury and quickly rushed into his tent. At the same time, he raised the gravity gun slung on his body, firing suppressive shots towards the direction the bullet came from.

Just a quick glance was enough for the veteran to figure out the three places most suitable for ambush snipers.

Mei Jueye didn’t react in time. The nearby hillside suddenly exploded as if hit by a grenade. There was no sound, but soil splattered everywhere, creating a large pit.

Mei Jueye cursed and quickly rolled to another location, taking advantage of the cover provided by the shrubs. His aptitude was average; he was nothing more than a high school student who had been handling guns for less than three days, with no more than a hundred rounds fired in total. Using a Mauser 98K to headshot an opponent was unrealistic unless he was extremely lucky.

"Nobody come out, we’re under attack!" Lin Weiguo shouted, warning Qin Yan and the others, while quickly drawing his military knife and cutting a small hole in the tent to observe the enemies outside.

"Damn it!" Mei Jueye realized he had no opportunity. Unless he had some powerful firearm to destroy the tent and force them out, he didn’t want to leave in disgrace. So, he reflexively raised his 98K and retaliatively fired at the tent.

The clear gunfire hadn’t even echoed off the mountains before the veterans pulled out their Howling Reapers, attacking any suspicious target. The bullets of the gravity gun were too pricey to waste. Otherwise, sweeping the area in a carpet fire style would certainly kill the high school student.

Even against the Howling Reaper, Mei Jueye couldn’t fight back. Seeing the large caliber bullets hit the hillside, kicking up clusters of mud, breaking shrubs, and branches flying towards him, he lied flat on the ground and quickly left the area.

"Damn you, you broken gun!" Hiding behind a safe hillside, Mei Jueye angrily threw the 98K on the ground, followed by the telescope. After smashing everything he had, he picked up a rock and kept bashing it on the ground.

The high school student vented hysterically, looking like a madman who had escaped a psychiatric ward.

"Forget it, it seems that killing them would deduct a thousand points. Let’s go and annoy the Indian team instead!" Comforting himself, Mei Jueye stood up, dusting off the dirt on his clothes. He picked up the fallen rifle and continued his journey. To tell the truth, he didn’t believe Tang Zheng’s words. If those were true, why did Chu Baichuan dare to attack him? "It must have been a trick to prevent newcomers from backstabbing," he thought.

The self-righteous high school student hummed a tune, bypassing Lin Weiguo’s camp and proceeded along the mountain path.

"Retreat!" The Indian team captain didn’t hesitate. He pulled out his strong energy particle pistol and fired, rushing towards the teleportation woman while grabbing her arm. The bug man also moved quickly, drawing the Magnetic Storm Rifle with one hand and shooting out blue electromagnetic rays.

The attackers were a pair of Rejoicing Buddhas. Their bodies flashed with golden light as if coated with a layer of gold paint. The male Buddha formed a seal with his hands, looking fierce and intimidating. The female Buddha, with her legs wrapped around the male Buddha’s waist and arms embracing him, lay on his shoulder. However, she pushed against the male Buddha’s chest as they block the way of the Indian team, leaping three meters away from him. Then her body flashed and vanished. In less than a breath, she reappeared, using teleportation twice in succession. In a blink, she was in front of the Indian team captain, delivering a palm strike at his chest.

Whizz, the teleportation woman teleported, appearing thirty meters away. The female Buddha immediately teleported to catch up, tightly pinning her down. The male Buddha pointed a finger at the bug man, shooting out a golden light with tracking effect. The severely injured bug man couldn’t dodge in time and was hit in the shoulder.

"No damage at all?" The bug man was still in shock when his vision darkened. His body suddenly disappeared, reappearing in front of the male Buddha where a fist burning with fire rushed towards his face.

The bug man released his ability, causing a large number of bugs to fly out of his body and form a dense bug shield in front of him.

The Buddha’s fiery fist arrived, and the high temperature ignited the bugs immediately. Amid the crackling sounds of burning, they fell dead and burnt.

The bug man barely managed to avoid, but without catching his breath, he tried to escape. However, the male Buddha pointed a finger again, and the golden light hit again, teleporting the bug man back to the Buddha’s side.

The bug man was dumbfounded. If this continued, there was no way to escape. What made him rage was that the female Buddha’s fist exploded the teleportation woman’s head, making the head shatter like a rotten watermelon. A great splash of blood spurted out from the neck.

If the three Conquerors were in good health, they would have been able to fight these two Buddhas and had no problem killing them. However, they were heavily injured and desperate to escape now, which put them in a disadvantaged position mentally.

The teleportation woman was chased by the female Buddha’s teleportation three times in a row and became panicky. Plus, she was distracted by wanting to leave with the team leader since she had to use his loss exemption card. As a result, she was caught off guard and died under the female Buddha’s iron fist that could shatter gold and stone.

The Indian team captain put up his protective shield to barely block the attack of the Buddha. He regretted it now. If he hadn’t been greedy, attempting to take advantage of the Chinese team, and had left earlier, there would have been no such trouble. But it was too late now. The exemption card required a thirty-second incantation and couldn’t be interrupted in between. Clearly, the female Buddha wouldn’t give him such an opportunity.

Glancing at Bug Man, the Indian Team Leader decided to abandon him. After entering the seed burst state, he was prepared to drive back the female Buddha statue and escape himself. But in the next moment, a golden light hit his body, and everything went dark. He was now in front of the male Buddha statue.

Bug Man also entered the seed burst state, going full throttle, but the abilities of these two Buddha statues were awfully annoying. Whether it was teleportation or transference, they were fully capable of wearing them down to death.

Both men wore expressions as grim as death, knowing that they were doomed this time.

"Bug Man, in order for the team leader to survive, you need to make a sacrifice!" The Indian Team Leader’s gaze flashed, he drove back the female Buddha statue, quickly fled, and before the male Buddha statue shot out that golden light marking the transfer target, he detonated the spiritual power bomb he had secretly placed on Bug Man.

Boom, the violent explosion brought with it scorching flames, destroying all buildings within a radius of fifty meters. The S-Class Protective Shield on the Indian Team Leader was on the verge of collapse, and it eventually broke.

The female Buddha statue, because she was using teleportation to chase the Indian Team Leader, was not in the center of the explosion, and managed to dodge a bullet. The male Buddha statue, however, rushed out of the fire and flew into the sky. At this time, it was in a very sorry state - its body was fragmented and both legs were blown off. Had it not had half an arm left, it would have become a caricature of a human.

Upon seeing the male Buddha statue, Lu Fan was startled and raised his hand, ready to wield the Wisdom Sword to kill it, but was stopped by Tang Monk.

"Deity, please show mercy!" Tang Monk, carrying the King of Daught Country, tried to persuade Lu Fan.

"Monk Tang, since nothing is amiss, we will no longer disturb your meditation!" Lu Fan gave Tang Zheng a look, wanting to leave quickly. He was certain that the Indian squad must have angered them. If they didn’t take advantage of this opportunity now, then when?

Quitting worrying about these mundane affairs, Tang Monk sighed and left by stepping into the air. Every time he lifted his foot, a lotus would appear beneath him, supporting his body. It was ethereal and dreamlike.

"Let’s go now." Lu Fan summoned his Spider Mount and jumped onto it, eager to rush out.

Reduced to ashes by the explosion, Bug Man died without understanding what had happened. Actually, the Indian Team Leader had, a long time ago, given them some unused spoils of war after altering them, and all these contained were highly concentrated particle bombs, used for a lizard tail cut off strategy in times like this.

"Damn, if the teleporting girl had been a bit slower, I could have blown her up too." The Indian Team Leader wasn’t worried about losing points - one thousand points meant nothing to him. But now he had to worry about the Chinese team. This huge commotion would definitely have them arrive within a few minutes, and if he couldn’t shake off these two statues now, he would certainly die here.

Upon seeing her mate severely injured by the explosion, the female Buddha statue became furious and her attacks got even fiercer. The already severely injured Indian Team Leader had no way of escaping.

"You kill the male Buddha statue, and I’ll finish off the Indian team leader. They’re all points." Tang Zheng appeared on a street corner and as soon as he saw the battle, he took out his Gauss sniper rifle and aimed at the Indian Team Leader. It’s clear that this guy was at the end of his tether - if he was killed by the female Buddha, Tang Zheng would be at a huge loss.

Without wasting any words, Lu Fan took out the Wisdom Sword, and in an instant, it seemed like a meteor had been shot out, piercing through the neck of the male Buddha statue. A human head fell from the sky, but the body was still alive and trying to escape.

"Where do you think you’re going!" Lu Fan called out, taking out the Pepper Grinder and opened fire at the scattered parts, forcing it to crash back down.

"It’s over!" The Indian Team Leader caught a glimpse of Tang Zheng in the corner of his eye, and knew things were bad. However, Tang Zheng’s shooting was too quick. Before the Indian Team Leader could slip into the blind spot, a cannon beam shot out, completely evaporating him into gas with its high temperature, leaving only some black residue behind.

"If only I had bought a Blink Card earlier." This was the Indian Team Leader’s last thought. Ever since he had gotten the S-Class Defense Shield, he had been invincible, who would have thought he would fall here.

Lu Fan brandished the Wisdom Sword, creating a hundred shadow swords to attack the female Buddha statue. Tang Zheng took a swig of Sweet Spring Potion, restoring his physical strength, then activated his ability, releasing the generals.

Lu Fan took the Sweet Spring Potion handed to him by Tang Zheng and also began to form a sand rope in the hopes of trapping the female Buddha statue, but her teleportation ability was too tricky.

"Why are you tying her up? It’s not like she’s trying to escape." Tang Zheng and his generals launched a frenzied attack, not caring for their lives. Faced with a powerful close combat vocation, the female Buddha statue began to feel threatened.

"Yeah, you and your generals don’t need to fear close combat at all." Lu Fan didn’t waste any more time with the sand rope, but instead began to pierce attacks using the sand spear, the female Buddha statue was obviously not as powerful as Hundred-Eyed Demon Lord, and trying to kill Tang Zheng with brute force was simply a dream.
