Chapter 485 - 40: Prison

Chapter 485: Chapter 40: Prison

Tang Zheng moved even faster. He grabbed his Thunderstorm rifle and fired at their arms, rendering three people holding weapons disabled.

Their arms and bones were blown to a bloody pulp, showering the others. They were startled, and immediately surrendered.

"We didn’t do anything? Really, we didn’t touch her." There was no need for Tang Zheng to call off his attack, these guys were already stunned by the cruel scene before them.

The three men without arms lay on the ground like human sticks, constantly wailing and contorting in pain. A man was about to beg for mercy, but Tang Zheng’s military boot crashed onto his mouth. His teeth shattered.

"Put your hands on your head, kneel down." Tang Zheng yelled, but these young men looked at each other instead of obeying immediately, still trying to claim innocence.

"Kneel down, don’t make me say it twice." Tang Zheng used the Thunderstorm rifle as a club, hitting a young man in front. His force was so strong that it caused the man’s eyeball to pop out.

The remaining young men finally complied, obediently kneeling in the dry leaves.

"Can you still walk?" Tang Zheng didn’t help Zhang Ying up. He wanted her to stand up by herself, though it would be difficult.

Zhang Ying lay in the fallen leaves, her plump body covered in dirt, and absolutely disheveled. Her struggle had exhausted all her strength.

"Here, put this on." Tang Zheng threw a set of sportswear at her and tried to console her, "You don’t want to die, do you? These people are still waiting for you to deal with them."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Ying, who was clenching her teeth in anger, suddenly sat up. She glared fiercely at the three men who had kidnapped her first and reached for the Chainsaw Gun next to her.

"Use this instead, shooting them is too easy." Tang Zheng drew out his military knife and threw it to Zhang Ying. Looking at the sky and the area behind them, they had some time, enough for some punishment.

Zhang Ying, who was on the brink of mental collapse, didn’t even bother to put on her clothes. She grabbed the dagger and threw herself onto two of the young men with severed arms. She bit her teeth and started stabbing them.

"Don’t kill them instantly, stab their thighs and bellies, that way you can vent for a while longer." Tang Zheng spoke with a cold tone. He knew that if Zhang Ying didn’t vent her anger, it would leave a shadow on her life.

The other kneeling natives who heard this suddenly shivered, begging Tang Zheng for mercy.

"Shut up."

Zhang Ying indeed followed Tang Zheng’s instructions and tortured the two men. In no time, she had turned them into a bloody mess.

"A slight cut to the windpipe can make their death more painful." Zhang Ying’s eyes lit up and she focused on the virgin who had just pleaded for her forgiveness. She grabbed his hair and pulled his head up, then made a swift cut on his neck with the military knife.

The young man’s desperate pleas turned into a muffled groan as he gasped for air like a dying catfish. His mouth continued to open and close, but he could not utter a word.

After dealing with the second man in the same brutal manner, Zhang Ying moved to the man who had been knocked unconscious by Tang Zheng’s kick. In anger, she plunged the military knife between his legs, and stirred it wildly. His terrifying screams echoed throughout the small woods.

The man woke up from the pain and saw his bloody crotch. He was furious and reached out to strangle Zhang Ying’s neck. Tang Zheng didn’t interfere; he wanted to see what this woman, who was almost raped, would do next.

Zhang Ying did not back down. Instead of killing the man in the most straightforward way, she swung the knife across his hand, severing three of his fingers. They flew into the air before she stabbed them back into his shoulder.

"You were so keen to ’fuck’, so why don’t you ’fuck’ now!" Spitting out curses, Zhang Ying cut his leg tendons and finger tendons one by one while saying, "Just looking at your face disgusts me."

"You bi*&ch" The man didn’t finish cursing before Zhang Ying, smirking coldly, thrust the military knife into his mouth, smashing his tongue and then slicing open his cheeks. In less than a minute, the man was left mutilated. If not for Tang Zheng holding her back, Zhang Ying would have gouged out his eye.

"That’s enough, kill him!" Tang Zheng stopped Zhang Ying. Judging from her desperate momentum, as long as her luck wasn’t abysmal, she would likely survive.

Zhang Ying hadn’t lost her sanity. After giving Tang Zheng a sidelong glance, she calmed down.

The young men who had been spectating were terrified by Zhang Ying’s sudden brutality. They all felt a chill down their legs and begged for mercy.

"What should we do with these people?" Tang Zheng did not plan to let these men go, and Zhang Ying’s actions pleased him.

"Kill them." Zhang Ying picked up a chainsaw gun, pulled the slide, and seeing that she was serious, the young men didn’t care about Tang Zheng’s threat and turned to run.

Tang Zheng found it better than nothing, glanced at the highway and Zhang Ying opened fire. Bullets sparked in the darkness like fireflies, but her aim was terrible, only five men got hit.

"Help me kill them." Zhang Ying ran out of bullets. Seeing that seven or eight men were still running away, she turned pale with anger and pleaded with Tang Zheng.

Tang Zheng spotted a squad on the highway rushing toward him, but he did not care. He pulled his trigger, and the blue lightning balls, akin to meteors, chased after them, turning them into scattered corpses amidst the trees.

"What are you doing? Drop your weapon and put your hands up!"

"Stay down." Tang Zheng replied succinctly. After instructing Zhang Ying, he fired at them. None was spared, and in an instant, bodies littered the ground and the heavy smell of blood began to spread.

"I don’t want to cause trouble. Killing them is the fastest way." Tang Zheng sighed, realizing he was becoming more and more ruthless.

"I’m sorry for making you worry." Zhang Ying stood up and suddenly threw herself into Tang Zheng’s arms, holding him tightly. She cried, "Only for ten seconds, I’m scared."

"Calm down." Tang Zheng patted Zhang Ying’s shoulder, indicating for her to separate from him, "We don’t have time to lose."

"Okay." Zhang Ying moved away. She then stood on her toes, stole a quick kiss on Tang Zheng’s face, and then ran to grab her sportswear that Tang Zheng gave her and put it on.

Zhang Ying was drained, and only managed to run a few dozen meters before her legs softened and she knelt on the ground. Tang Zheng, quick to react, reached out to grab her arm.

"Never mind, I’ll carry you."

Zhang Ying didn’t refuse. When Tang Zheng lifted her, she took the opportunity to plant a kiss on his cheek. She was incredibly grateful to Tang Zheng, as he’s the man who saved her life in the critical moment.

"Why are you wearing Tang Zheng’s clothes?" Pang Meiqin stared at Zhang Ying’s eyes, not hiding her jealousy.

"We ran into some minor problems," Tang Zheng said, looking at the diminishing number of routing soldiers. The scattered gunshots confused him. The Beastmen had ceased their attack?

"That’s the only explanation. But let’s get to the town first." Dantai helped Zhang Ying up. "Can you walk? If not, I can carry you. Let’s leave Ai Yixin to Tang Zheng. I’m not so adept at carrying people."

"I can walk on my own." Zhang Ying and Chu Baichuan replied simultaneously. After resting for a while, they regained some strength.

"Then let’s get moving and always be ready for combat." Tang Zheng made an attempt to retrieve the armoured car from his wristwatch but was still unable to do so due to the restrictions. The velociraptor mount, supposedly available in any game, couldn’t be summoned by him.

"Does the Red Trojan Horse also lie?" Tang Zheng frowned. If the Trojan horse wasn’t lying, then it meant they didn’t fully understand or control the world they ran the Trojan Horse Game on.

"Could the game environment not be a high-tech backdrop but a real setting? Where then does the trojan get its momentum, and what rules does it operate by? If it’s an intelligent program, there must be a set pattern," Tang Zheng theorized. He never intended to control the Trojan Horse. He just wanted to leave here. Reaching 10,000 points would be good, but what about the others? "Could this game be a deep dream implanted into the brain?"

Upon entering the checkpoint of the small town, Tang Zheng’s musings were interrupted. All the routing soldiers were disarmed. They were taken away by the military police and locked up in a temporary prison.

The prison was built by setting up steel reinforcement bars and pouring concrete. Each opened iron gate led to small bunkers.

The size of the prison was equivalent to two combined ordinary classrooms. As soon as the soldiers opened the iron gate, the pungent smell of sweat mixed with urine rushed out. The stench could possibly knock someone out. Li Meilian tiptoed to take a look and her face fell immediately. The place was crammed with people, reminiscent of past slave ships transporting slaves to Europe.

"How can we stay here?" Li Meilian couldn’t help but exclaim.

"A bunch of deserters dreaming of staying at an inn? Stop daydreaming and get in." There was no time for the soldiers to dally. They used the butts of their rifles to prod the deserters’ backs, herding them into the prison like sheep.

"I want to change cells." The transgender captain wasn’t bothered about the environment but was worried about the Chinese team. However, his request was met with beatings from the soldiers. "Stop blabbering and keep moving."

"We have a pregnant woman here." Li Muqing tried to use Ai Yixin as an excuse, but the response remained merciless.

"Unfortunately, we have no obstetrician."

"I wish we hadn’t come to this town." Gao Yu cursed, noting that heavy troops were stationed in the small town, making escape impossible. It was just wishful thinking.

"Just make do with it." Dantai entered the overcrowded cell and found that there was no place to step foot into. Those who got in earlier had blocked all the space. In the northeast corner, a group of fearless old soldiers occupied half of the space, but no one dared to retaliate. They all squatted elsewhere, enduring the crowded conditions.

"I thought I was in a Brazilian prison." Lu Fan held his breath, looked at the few small ventilation holes in the ceiling, and sighed in despair, "I’m done. I will stink."

"Sorry, excuse me, excuse me." Chu Baichuan, supporting Ai Yixin, was trying to find a place to rest. But no one moved, everyone was eyeing them greedily, especially those few in the northeast corner.

"There are no women in here." Dantai warned, complaining about the oversight of the commanders. Locking women in a cell full of men was like sending sheep into a tiger’s den, ensuring their ill-treatment.

With the small town on the brink of collapse, the commanders were on edge, they had little regard for such trivial matters.
