Chapter 349: Chapter 40: Full Firepower? Not necessary! - 2

"Damn, running away is only a road to death." Tang Zheng didn’t believe that a raptor’s stamina could match a mutated armed tyrannosaurus, so he swerved away from the main team while yelling at Lu Fan to follow.

The little Lolita didn’t hesitate to follow Tang Zheng. Miranda hesitated a bit before also following them. Julia hesitated long enough so that by the time she decided to go, a tyrannosaurus had already split from the pack to chase Tang Zheng’s party.

"What a treacherous asshole." Leonard glared at Tang Zheng’s retreating figure, cursing bitterly under his breath. He saw right through Tang Zheng’s tactic – "The tyrannosaurus will always chase the prey. One Tang Zheng won’t be enough to fill their teeth gaps, he just wants us to become bait."

Hearing this, the newbies couldn’t help but feel furious and helpless. They also wanted to split from the group, but what if a tyrannosaurus started chasing them as well? They didn’t believe they have the strength to handle a tyrannosaurus by themselves.

With a child in her arms, Julia ran last, just about to be overtaken by a few meters, she took out a dagger, stabbed it into the raptor’s ass, the mount felt pain, immediately sped up and escaped.

Chris’s abdomen was in pain, the jolting from the running raptor tore her wound open further. As Julia sprinted ahead, Chris decided to follow her example, she took out a dagger and stabbed it into the raptor’s ass. However, her mount wasn’t as obedient as Julia, and she used too much force, causing the raptor to stumble and nearly throw her off.

The shocks from the ride tilted Chris to one side, and she fell holding onto the reins. The wilderness was muddy after the rain, not an unyielding cement road, and the raptor also ended up rolling onto its belly.

The fastest tyrannosaurus caught up, bit Chris’s upper body in one bite, chewed and tore her apart into two. In the next moment, the lower half of Chris’s body, dripping with blood, fell from mid-air. As it fell, the second tyrannosaurus arrived, caught it mid-air with its mouth, and chewed it to shreds.

The newbies did not want to scatter, but after three tyrannosaurs spewed a fireball, they had to split up almost immediately to avoid getting burned.

"God, bless us." At this moment, the scattered newbies were all praying - hoping that the three tyrannosaurs wouldn’t chase after them. As for what happened to the others, they did not care.

Stevenson turned out to be the unlucky guy. Looking at the pursuing tyrannosaurus behind him, he cursed vehemently. His face was soaked in sweat from fear. The remaining two tyrannosaurs were now chasing David’s group, which comprised the most people.

Having seen the tyrannosaurs getting distracted and dispersing, Mars suddenly cracked the reins and bolted towards the Teleportation Gate - he was planning on leaving.

At the same time, Tang Zheng was also leading the tyrannosaurus behind him as far away from everyone as possible. This way, he’d have more time to fight without worrying about the tyrannosaurus getting reinforcements.

Lu Fan’s body was light so her raptor ran swiftly. Seeing herself at ease, she took out a grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it on the ground.

Boom! Boom! Explosions rang out one after the other. A few of them exploded just when the tyrannosaurus ran over them. Some shrapnel pierced its belly, causing it to screech in severe pain.

"Stop throwing them, you are going to kill me." Miranda screamed at Lu Fan in terror. Each time they ran over a grenade thrown into the bushes by Lu Fan, the hair on her body stood on end fearing an early explosion could spell her doom.

"Don’t slow down, you’ll be fine." Lu Fan replied, not caring at all. Seeing her hand grenades inflict damage on the tyrannosaurus only made her throw them with greater zeal.

"Aren’t you scared?" Miranda, lying low on the back of her mount, asked Tang Zheng. She noticed that the man seemed perfectly calm, as if those weren’t hand grenades at all.

"The weak spots are the belly and the head." Tang Zheng recited the intelligence, pulling out a bundle of TNT and tossed it onto the path of the rampaging tyrannosaurus.

"You are insane." Miranda couldn’t help but scream. The tyrannosaurus was only about five meters behind them, if he detonated the TNT now, they would be caught in the blast radius.

"Cover your head." Tang Zheng was completely unmoved by her outcry. The moment the tyrannosaurus passed over the TNT, he decisively pressed the detonator.

Boom! An intense explosion erupted as the Armoured Tyrannosaurus was immediately enveloped by rising red flames. The shockwave from the explosion caused the weeds reaching up to the calf to instantly topple. Tang Zheng and Miranda were lucky to escape the flaming onslaught, though they and the raptor they were riding were flipped over by the shockwave.

"Cough, cough." Miranda landed in the grass, her body covered in black gunpowder smoke and traces of soil. A slight internal injury caused her to cough up a mouthful of blood. If it weren’t for the protective clothing, she might have died on the spot.

Tang Zheng’s firefly armor was outstanding, completely fending off the shockwave. Unlike Miranda, he was also prepared for the fall. Holding his head, he rolled a few times in the grass, dissipating the impact. He quickly got up and pulled out the Rabbit Explosives.

The Armored Tyrannosaurus roared angrily, sprinting out from the flames. Its defense power was too overwhelming, enabling it to continue fighting even after enduring a TNT explosive blast, despite some injuries.

"Didn’t hit its belly." Tang Zheng twisted his waist and swung his arm, swiftly throwing five Rabbit Explosives towards the tyrannosaurus’s head.

This creature was intelligent. Even in its rage, it did not wish to face the unknown Rabbit Explosives head-on, but it failed to dodge them. Three missed, but two struck its head.

Boom! Tang Zheng timely detonated the Rabbit Explosives, immediately causing a splash of blood, leaving the tyrannosaurus head bleeding, and its flesh flying.

"It’s still alive?" Miranda looked in horror at the tyrannosaurus, whose face was disfigured and several teeth were knocked out by the explosion. A more worrisome scenario was unfolding.

The tyrannosaurus sprinted at full speed towards Tang Zheng, who instead of dodging, shockingly pulled out an AT4 rocket launcher and placed it on his shoulder.

"Run!" Miranda thought Tang Zheng had gone mad, but his roar drowned out her yell.

"Warrior!"

Along with this robust roar, Miranda saw an ancient warrior nearly three meters tall, clad in heavy armour and holding a long handle war hammer appear beside Tang Zheng. He set his stance, raised his hammer horizontally, prepared to withstand the tyrannosaurus attack.

With a boom, the two creatures collided like a comet hitting the earth. The warrior held back the tyrannosaurus, retreating while ploughing deep furrows in the wilderness soil with his legs. The scent of earth sprang up spontaneously.

Although the warrior was only one-third the height of the tyrannosaurus, he was in no way disadvantaged in the collision. He had only retreated five meters before firmly stopping the tyrannosaurus’s impact.

Roaring furiously, the tyrannosaurus opened its mouth wide to bite the warrior.

With a thud, the warrior, after fending off the tyrannosaurus, started spinning his war hammer like a windmill. The strike squarely hit the tyrannosaurus’s mouth, its sharp teeth, like blades, immediately flew out with the blood, more than a dozen at a time. The massive force caused the tyrannosaurus’s head to jerk sideways, unable to bite down.

Tang Zheng had already leaped back three meters, then knelt on one knee, raising the AT4 onto his shoulder. As soon as he locked onto the tyrannosaurus’s head in his scope, he pulled the trigger.

A high-explosive armor-piercing bullet, trailing a blazing tail, broke through the air instantly, striking the tyrannosaurus’s head. With a pop, it exploded. This time, the tyrannosaurus screamed in agony, half its jaw blasted off, big chunks of sticky, fresh blood splattering, staining the surrounding weeds red. But this beast was still alive.

Tang Zheng quickly discarded the AT4, pulling out another one to shoulder. At this moment, the warrior was swinging his war hammer, hitting the tyrannosaurus’s right leg. There was no sound of a fracture, but the tyrannosaurus was knocked over by the blow, falling heavily onto the ground, causing quite a lot of soil to splash up.

"Die now." Tang Zheng pulled the trigger, aiming the armor-piercing shell at the tyrannosaurus’s exposed belly. The explosion sent flesh flying. The warrior then leaped into the air and, like a shooting star, came crashing down onto the tyrannosaurus’s head. (To be continued. If you like this work, please come to qidian.com to vote.
