Chapter 1444 - 33: Airport Bloodbath

Chapter 1444: Chapter 33: Airport Bloodbath

"Heh, idiots!" Wei Binbai, who had already taken off, saw this scene and sneered with Schadenfreude.

"Tianxiao!" Xiaobai was originally flying to the predetermined position, but when he saw Fu Tianxiao crash, he immediately pulled the control stick, executed a large turnaround maneuver, and returned.

Yu Deye’s helicopter took off, and because the other party changed the course, it almost crashed head-on. Fortunately, his quick reaction allowed him to barely avoid the collision with a right flip.

"Fuck me, what the hell? Trying to get killed?" Yu Deye, who had just steadied his nerves, glanced back and cursed angrily into the communicator. If it wasn’t for the pressing time, he really wanted to fire a few missiles at Xiaobai.

At the airport, chaos had fully unfolded, with the newbies’ yelling blending into one tumultuous sound, all begging the landing ships to wait for them, fearing being left behind.

Despite wearing protective clothing, the difference in physical fitness still caused many newbies to fall behind intermittently.

"Why do I have to pilot the landing ship? So annoying. Hurry up, all of you," Pang Meiqin had already launched the landing ship, but half of the newbies were still not aboard. "Sha Ou, hurry them up; if they’re not here in thirty seconds, leave without them."

"Don’t push, didn’t you hear? Talking to you, the curly-haired one, don’t push!" Dong Zixuan stood at the hatch maintaining order, but faced with the chance of survival, no newbie was willing to give way to others, pushing and shoving with all their might.

The hatch was small to begin with, and the jostling only slowed the speed at which the newbies could board the landing ship.

"I said don’t push, didn’t you hear?" Ruan Feifei also wanted to take off quickly, but was delayed by these newbies. Already furious, this was the last straw, and her anger erupted.

The news anchor pushed hard, parting the crowd, grabbed the curly-haired man’s collar, pulled him out with brute force, and then punched him in the lower abdomen.

The curly-haired man retched, knelt on the ground clutching his stomach, and then saw the news anchor’s beautifully-leggy figure lift her leg, aiming right for his face.

Thump, the curly-haired man spat out blood, reeling backward. The news anchor, unsatisfied, swung her leg and fiercely kicked his chest.

No newbie pleaded for the curly-haired man. Seeing his plight, some stopped, but a few still pushed desperately, yelling at the people in front to hurry.

"Sha Ou, telekinesis," the news anchor called out.

"Got it!" Sha Ou had already taken a dislike to a fatty, and with a burst of telekinesis, directly yanked him out of the crowd.

"Don’t!" The fatty got up, his face filled with panic as he ran over, only to be hit by the invisible telekinetic hand, blowing out nasal blood and shattered teeth as he tumbled away.

At this, the newbies finally quieted down and began to follow order.

Ruan Feifei saw some of curly-haired man’s blood on the top of her foot, so she stepped on him to wipe it off.

"Fucking bastards, if you don’t get beaten, you won’t settle down," Sha Ou cursed, glaring fiercely at the newbies.

"It’s no good, we can’t fit anymore, we need to find another landing ship," Pang Meiqin noticed the load weight indicator nearing the critical threshold and quickly reminded.

"You can’t board anymore," Sha Ou and Ruan Feifei pushed through the crowd, jumped onto the landing ship, and prepared to close the hatch.

"Don’t leave us behind!" The newbies, seeing the landing ship leave the ground, were about to pee themselves in terror, as they crammed forward trying to grab the cabin wall, attempting to climb aboard.

The landing ship wobbled, the jet of air from the exhaust dispersing the dust on the airport, making it almost impossible for the newbies to open their eyes, but no one cared; desperate to live, they had gone mad.

Some, seeing they really couldn’t climb up, gave up, cursing the Conquerors for their lack of humanity.

Huddling inside the cabin like sardines, the newbies watched those below and felt relieved that they had run quickly, not wasting any time. But before they could catch their breath, Pang Meiqin uttered a sentence that sent shivers down their spines.

"This won’t work, it’s overloaded, we can’t fly, throw four people off," Pang Meiqin shouted as the overloaded alarm blared unbearably, the red light flickering, warning her of an impending crash.

Sha Ou moved quickly. Upon hearing this, he immediately turned back and reached out to grab.

The newbies all squeezed in, away from the hatch, fearing being caught. This movement made the landing ship even less stable, tilting downwards, and with a thud, it smashed onto the ground, sparking a lot of fire.

This was fortunate that expert pilot Pang Meiqin was in control. The beautiful leg stewardess used her exquisite skills to steady the aircraft; otherwise, if it were someone else, a crash would’ve been certain.

"Hurry up, throw four people down!" Pang Meiqin yelled. She actually had the newbie’s best interests at heart, giving the maximum reductions in personnel. Even so, during flight, she couldn’t perform complex mid-air maneuvers, or else they would crash.

The jolting of the landing ship flung Sha Ou out of the cabin, but fortunately, he was quick and caught the hatch. However, when he tried to get back in, someone actually grabbed his leg.

"Get lost!" Enraged, Sha Ou activated his telekinesis, twisting the arm of the newbie who had grabbed him into a twisted mess.

Ruan Feifei grabbed a newbie by the collar, electricity sparking from her fingertips, paralyzed him, and threw him out of the cabin, then pulled Sha Ou back in.

"I’m so pissed, a bunch of bastards," Sha Ou swung his hand, and five newbies were torn apart by telekinesis, tumbling out of the landing ship.

Because Sha Ou didn’t care about accuracy, they collided with the opening of the cabin, wounding their bodies.

"Enough." Ruan Feifei stopped him when she saw Sha Ou was about to throw another newbie out.

The newbies, like chickens about to be slaughtered in a cage, relaxed a bit upon hearing the female anchor’s words and seeing Sha Ou no longer moving. Then some of them realized they had wet themselves, while others’ legs went limp, and they sat down.

After much turmoil, Pang Meiqin’s landing ship finally took off successfully.

"Don’t, please, pull me in." A female newbie grabbed the hatch, seeing it about to close, tears streaming down her face, pleading like the main character in a drama.

The female anchor recalled her own days as a newbie, felt some pity, reached out to pull her, but Sha Ou had already kicked forward, stepping on her hand.

The female newbie, hurting, let go as she fell from a height of seven meters. Though she didn’t die immediately because she was wearing protective clothing, she had internal injuries, vomiting blood, and couldn’t get up.

"Don’t be soft-hearted. With so many people, we can’t maneuver. I don’t want to get shot down later," Sha Ou panted heavily, his eyes bloodshot and murderous.

The newbies watched the departing landing ship, cursing and jumping in frustration, but some smarter ones ran towards Shen Qingshuang’s airborne gunship.

The mech man was slower and had not chosen a helicopter but rather a support weapon. He didn’t want to wait for the newbies, but then Tang Zheng’s command came through the communicator.

"Load up the remaining newbies."

"Understood." Shen Qingshuang didn’t haggle, opened the loudspeaker, "Come on, get on the gunship."

The newbies, like the miserable drowning looking for salvation, desperately made a break for it.

The reinforcements of the Beastmen arrived, armed war chariots roared in at lightning speed, covering the airport with fire, trying to shoot down any helicopters as they took off.

The Green Skins were not stupid, knowing that once the helicopters were airborne, they could obliterate the ground forces.

The abandoned newbies finally got onboard the airborne gunship, but the injured curly-haired man and a few newbies who had been thrown down were slow because of their injuries, staggering and almost missing the gunboat by a step.

Shen Qingshuang took off—there was no choice—the Beastmen’s fearless mechs appeared, the rocket nests opened, a dozen rocket launchers fired over, and those Green Skins also shouldered rocket launchers to bombard them. If they didn’t take off now, there would be no chance.

The high school student brother with Shen Qingshuang unleashed his powers; his eyes emitted laser beams, spreading out like a spider web at the very moment they were about to hit the rockets, intercepting them.

Shen Qingshuang fired the autocannon; the chassis shook non-stop from the impact of the explosions, and unfortunately, two newbies didn’t hold on tight enough and fell through the still open hatch gap.

This half a day’s chaos lasted less than a minute, but it felt like years for the newbies. Those dozen or so who were last finally made it over, out of breath.

"Wait for us!"

These dozen people were originally happy, thinking they had not rashly charged, but now they were dumbfounded, watching the departing plane, at a loss.

The Beastman’s mechanized forces caught up, unceremoniously strafing them.

A few newbies fell in pools of blood, the rest scattered in all directions, but two legs are obviously not as fast as engines—the Beastmen stopped firing and simply rolled over them, leaving a ground littered with mangled corpses soaked in blood.

Tang Zheng, piloting a helicopter, was the first to take off, plunging towards the Green Skin army camp, meeting head-on with the outgoing mechanized reinforcements.

The rocket nest opened, locking on the lead war chariot via radar, he pressed the launch button.

Whiz whiz, rocket shells furiously fired, piercing the vault of heaven like sharp swords, striking the war chariot, blasting it into a pile of scrap metal. Then came a carpet bombing that covered a range of fifty meters.

Because the heavily armed Beastmen’s combat fortress was engaged in air defense, Tang Zheng didn’t hover but rapidly flew by from the right side above the fleet.

Behind him, the Beastmen manned machine guns, pursuing his armed helicopter, bullets trailing red lines in the sky, dazzling to behold.

There were too many Beastmen’s war chariots, as well as the motorcycle-borne demolition squads, scattering like Hornets to avoid being wiped out by the helicopter in one fell swoop.

The other Conquerors piloted helicopters into the air, joining the battle sequence, blasting huge swathes of fire on the ground. But they were conserving ammunition, after all, they still had to fly to the fortress, sure to encounter resistance en route.

After flying a kilometer, Tang Zheng circled back and saw that the landing ships and airborne gunships had taken off, Pang Meiqin and Shen Qingshuang were calling for air support.

"Full speed ahead, ensure the protection of the two medical ships!" Tang Zheng announced to the battalion, and as he flew over the temporary airport, he saw a few newbies chased helter-skelter by the Beastmen. One of them waved at his helicopter, and due to that delay, was hit and sent flying by a Beastman’s armored vehicle.

Tang Zheng kept a cold face and did not stop, flying at full speed.

Dozens of armed helicopters from the other two temporary airports urgently took off, heading toward the survivors, to intercept them.
