Chapter 1416: Chapter 5: Furious Queen Evolves
"FUCK, don’t I have any human rights?" Tang Zheng used the suitcase as a shield in front of him, as bullets hit it, creating several bullet holes.
"Don’t kill me!" The American guy screamed, and Tang Zheng also pulled out his handgun, releasing a barrage of bullets at them.
The Special Agent’s head was blown off, Corpse collapsed, while the others, hearing the commotion but too late to respond, thought they had killed their target. But upon kicking in the Wristwatch, they discovered the blonde young man still going at it with the prostitute, with bullets suspended all around them.
"Game over!" As the young man uttered those words, the bullets reversed course, striking back and killing the Special Agents.
The prostitute glanced backwards, saw the corpses, and her legs encased in silk stockings completely gave out, causing her to sit down.
"You’re not undercover, are you?" The young man grabbed the prostitute’s hair, dragging her out without any rush to escape.
"And who might you be?" The young man looked at Tang Zheng with surprise, then slammed the prostitute’s head into the toilet.
The American guy tried to escape, but before he got out of the restroom, the young man waved his hand and two black demon armatures emerged from the wall, seizing his body and tearing it in half.
"Talking to you—didn’t you hear?" the young man said haughtily to Tang Zheng, licking his palm.
Several demons crawled out from the ground, devouring the prostitute’s corpse.
"Not answering? Then die!" The young man swung his hand, but found his opponent had vanished, and immediately felt intense pain in his shoulder.
Rip! Tang Zheng teleported, appeared next to the young man, and violently tore off his arm, then, mirroring his earlier method, smashed his head into the urinal.
Several demons, frenzied, lunged at Tang Zheng, loyally protecting, but they didn’t get close before being squashed to the ground by gravity suppression.
"FUCK, YOU!" The young man raged, a red mist emanating from his body, signalling the onset of a fury outburst, but before he could fully transform, Undamaged Lake Light had already pierced through his heart.
"Waste of space!" Tang Zheng pulled out his sword, flicking off the blood, pondering that this person likely wasn’t arranged by Miranda, but then why had those in black suits attacked him?
Tang Zheng didn’t rush to leave the scene, and upon searching the young man’s body, he found a chip in his jacket pocket.
The Wristwatch doubled as a universal card reader; upon inserting the chip, it displayed a series of names and faces on the Virtual Screen, some with descriptions of Abilities and some blanks, but each with a rated danger level below them.
"Could this be the survivor list for North America?" Tang Zheng didn’t find the name Nuclear Flame, so he wasn’t too interested in this list.
Glancing at the now-defunct camera, Tang Zheng straightened his clothes, ready to leave the restroom when his mobile phone rang.
"Have you arrived yet? I’ve sent a car to pick you up!" Miranda had inquired about his flight arrival time, her service considerate.
"I’m already out of the airport, where are you staying? I’ll find my own way." Tang Zheng wanted to maintain the initiative.
"Beverly Hills," Miranda, sly and understanding his concerns, didn’t expose them, "I’ve arranged a welcome party for you, come early."
"I just encountered Nuclear Flame in the game, and now Miranda is inviting me over, could it be related to him?" As Tang Zheng pondered in the taxi, untangling possibilities, "But we had no direct conflict and weren’t enemies, hm? Could it be because of the spoils of war?"
Tang Zheng took out the nucleus, observing it in the palm of his hand.
"Is that a diamond? Beautiful!" The Driver, looking through the rearview mirror at the nucleus, was filled with envy.
Mu Nianqi didn’t know the use of this object but understood its high value, as it was an item not even sold on the Trojan List.
Tang Zheng tried infusing Life Energy into it, deciding to use it up first, so even if enemies desired it, they’d get no chance.
At first, Tang Zheng felt nothing, and just when he thought it was useless and cut off the energy supply, the nucleus transformed into a black hole, creating a massive pull.
"Damn it!" Tang Zheng’s life energy gushed out like a collapsing dam.
The entire car interior instantly turned chaotic, everything being sucked toward the nucleus.
"What’s happening?" The Driver, full of panic, hit the brakes and stopped on the side of the road.
Tang Zheng knocked the Driver out with a chop of his hand, then stumbled out of the taxi, tumbling toward a dark alley on the side of the street.
A wild cat was startled and ran off, Tang Zheng felt drained and collapsed on the ground, his muscles bulged out and then burst open, his blood sprayed around like mist.
Agonizing pain hit him, and Tang Zheng felt as if he were thrown into a meat grinder, his flesh mourning with every pulse.
"Daylily, heal!" Tang Zheng’s body was no longer under control, and he couldn’t reach his potions.
"What’s wrong with you?" the girl in the nurse uniform, who was a priest, appeared. Just as she tried to touch Tang Zheng, a red lightning bolt shot out of his body, striking Daylily.
Bang, Daylily was blown away and hit the wall.
The ember flickered with red light, being activated and purified by life energy, turning into pure energy.
Tang Zheng realized he couldn’t control the leaking energy and gritted his teeth, preparing to sever his left arm when the ember, which had turned into a red crystal, suddenly ignited with a roar, and the vast energy surged back in.
Bang, bang, Tang Zheng’s body exploded again, but the wounds began to heal in an instant. His body was like a parched field, finally receiving the nourishment of rain.
As the energy entered him, Tang Zheng experienced a pleasure even more comfortable than rolling in bed; his heart felt healthier, like a perpetual motion machine.
Crackle, crackle, red electric arcs burst over Tang Zheng’s body and shot to the ground, shattering them into dust. As time passed, the transfer of energy sped up and electric arcs began to spread, soon blanketing the entire street.
"No good, I need to leave!" Tang Zheng thought of moving. If this continued, the entire city’s Conquerors would know there had been an invasion.
Tang Zheng exerted force under his feet, but his body was nearly uncontrollable now. He actually crushed the floor with one foot. With him as the center, boom, the floor turned to rubble, was shaken into mid-air, and scattered in all directions.
Bang, Tang Zheng blasted straight out of the alley and hit a truck passing on the street, bending into its body, not to mention carrying the truck and rolling several meters into a shop across the street.
Tang Zheng covered his head and withdrew at top speed, leaving behind fine arcs in the air that made nearby pedestrians shiver collectively.
Tang Zheng was extremely uncomfortable, his mouth dry, his entire body like it had been thrown into magma, but he was overjoyed because he could feel the changes in his body.
"This is evolution!" Tang Zheng’s physical fitness skyrocketed, and even without unleashing his power, he could easily crush a Level 2 Conqueror.
The ember and Pandora Gene Optimization Fluid had similar effects, but the ember was much more precious. It started adjusting from DNA, mitochondria, cells, to muscles, giving them the maximum enhancement.
If Tang Zheng was a 386 computer before, now he was a quad-core, and as time went on, he would continue to evolve.
The ember was one of the most mysterious crystals in the universe; no "Trojan" had been able to fully study its secrets because it involved many complex life forms.
An activated ember could bestow life on any non-living object, even the stones in nature or artificially made mechanical items.
The Trojans had arranged for many Fearless to collect embers, but they never succeeded because none of the Fearless could endure the temptation of the embers.
Conquerors burst with power by pushing their bodies to the limits, but hardware like the body, though improvable, has its limits. However, after being purified by the ember, Tang Zheng already surpassed many from the starting point.
Tang Zheng took out a Level A military dagger and stabbed it fiercely into the back of his hand, but his skin remained undamaged. Instead, a red electric arc flashed out, creating a notch in the dagger.
"It feels amazing!" Tang Zheng could see further, even in the dead of night, able to clearly see the patterns on street lights dozens of meters away and even hear the noise coming from many residences.
"Seems like someone’s playing a domestic violence game?" Tang Zheng leaped several times, jumping onto the rooftop, running through the steel jungle like an agile cheetah.
Tang Zheng was in an excellent state now. Daylily appeared, lying on Tang Zheng’s back, and wrapped her long legs, clad in white suspender stockings, around his waist.
"Are you okay?" Tang Zheng was worried he might have accidentally killed Daylily, which would have been a great loss.
"What was that just now?" Daylily asked, puzzled, then suddenly blurted out something that shocked Tang Zheng, "Why do I have two more companions?"
"Hmm?" Tang Zheng stopped, summoned again, and indeed, two more priest sisters appeared, looking identical to Daylily, but silent. "Cast a few healing magics!"
The two sisters started to cast a frenzy of buff magic on Tang Zheng, the effects unabated.
"The Furious Queen’s abilities have been wholly upgraded!" Tang Zheng summoned the Firearms lady and found that their numbers had doubled.
"Master, I’ve missed you!" Marilyn, wiggling her hips, came to Tang Zheng’s side and hugged him, planting a kiss on him.
The number of generals also increased, with two more and equipped with warhorses as mounts. Clad in weapons from head to toe, they exuded Black Mist, looking like gods of war.
In Marilyn’s sorrowful eyes, Tang Zheng canceled the summoning and rushed to Miranda’s villa, feeling as if he could take on Nuclear Flame himself.
Reaching the Wealthy District of Beverly Hills, he found the villa, stood in front of the Iron Gate, and rang the doorbell. Looking across the lawn, he could see the lights of the Luxury house were bright, and some young men and women were having a party.
In less than two minutes, Miranda, wearing a white open-back evening dress, came jogging to greet Tang Zheng.
The people along the way greeted Miranda, but without response—yet they weren’t displeased, but curious to see who was so significant to make this billionaire pay such attention.
"Tang Zheng, you’re still so handsome, aren’t you?" Miranda welcomed Tang Zheng with no hint of unfamiliarity, wrapping her arms around him and delivering a wet kiss. (To be continued.
